RJR Self-Care with Ruben J Rocha, CMT

I’m a former certfied massage therapist — did the work for 30 years. I’ve been seeing Ruben for over 10 years now… he is by far the BEST massage therapist who’s ever worked on me… and I’m very particular about the kind of work I want. Ruben’s touch is always senstive and warm; soft yet strong. He listens and invites feedback before, during, and after the session. If you want to talk, he’s a great listener and his voice is deep and soothing. (I’m very sensitive to people’s voices, and his resonates a soothing vibration, so listening to him is healing in itself!)
Also, I can’t believe how reasonable his rates are! You’d think with his years of experience and expertise, he’d charge much more. (I always tip him well because I don’t think he charges enough.) So, take it from a sensitive woman, who’s gained weight over the years and is shy about it, but not with Ruben. He’s accepting and welcoming no matter what my size and shape. I am so grateful for him! You will be too. :-)

I came to Ruben with two herniated disks that were extremely painful. In 3 sessions, he made the pain disappear. Pretty short of miraculous! He has magic hands, great technique, is invested into his work, and if you are interested in talking can hold an enlightened conversation! I highly recommend his massage therapy.

Yesterday = bad back pain. Today = hardly any pain at all. The reason? A little ‘self care’ from Ruben at RJR Massage. This guy is great, one of the best massages I have ever received — masterful body work, you should go see him. Recommend? Heck Yeah!!! I am happy today. Thanks Ruben :)

Ruben is the best. Seriously. I was initially referred to him by my chiropractor (Rachael Corsano) about 5 years ago. My wife and I have been going to him ever since. He is very knowledgeable and is also just a nice guy. His website makes it extremely easy to schedule an appointment.
Ruben not only practices but he teaches as well. If you have any sort of nagging back pain, this is the person you want to see. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.

Enjoyed 90 minutes of healing massage at Ruben’s new location: 25 Mitchell #12 San Rafael off Smith Ranch Road and Redwood Blvd. As always, his healing hands got the knots out of my traps. Wish I could live on a massage table forever.
