Stapleton School of Performing Arts

I was extremely disappointed I took my 3 year old granddaughter to her first class. The teacher was dressed in old clothes and overweight. She sat on a chair for most of the class. The parents were placed in a dirty room with a small window in the door. The chairs were so filthy I didn’t want to sit on them It was impossible to watch the class
After my wonderful experience at larkspur landings ballet studio I will not be returning
They need to get an appropriate ballet teacher

Stapleton’s ballet program is amazing. It’s incredibly inclusive, meaning that they do not expect their dancers to have certain body types/​shapes. The older dancers are wonderful mentors and examples to the younger dancers. In addition to providing fantastic instruction, the ballet teachers, including Virginia Stapleton, are committed, patient, and encouraging. It’s a lovely school, and we feel so fortunate that our daughters are a part of it.

Gonna counter the woman who says the theatre stuff is bad. I have seen a bunch of Stapleton stuff, and think it is good, and sometimes more interesting that other stuff down the way. They sometimes do unique pieces, Schwartz’s Children of Eden for one… and everyone who auditions gets in. As far as the same actors always being in it, well, they cast everyone, but there are some very diverse actors. I really would urge people to see Stapleton for themselves. Their last production, Hairspray, was extraordinarily entertaining.
Even better, you should audition.

This is my 3 year old daughters first time taking a real dance class. She really likes the class and her teacher Ms Jenny. It is super cute that they do a recital after the session is over withe costumes and everything!

I love acting and singing, but can’t commit to 5 day a week rehearsals for a show. Luckily Stapleton Theatre Company is there to fill the creative void in my life! I have done 5 productions with them in the last two years and they are a wonderful representation of what community theater is all about. Everyone in the cast is involved with the entire production, including the sets, props and costumes. It is a great introduction to theater for children and great opportunity for families to perform together.
I have not had the opportunity to take dance classes, but I know students who have and they love the teachers and the program. The feedback I hear consistently is that– the teachers are tough, but in a loving way.
A caveat that I should mention– I am a member of the Theater Arts Committee at Stapleton.
