I would rate Alusstra Events more favorably had the following not happened: first of all, my fiancé & I were only ever in contact with Alma and Edward, who kept telling us how beautifully & professionally they handle weddings, which I believe to be true; however, they weren’t the ones who showed up the day of our event. I did not realize they were sending someone else. That isn’t a big deal, in my opinion, IF you let your client know ahead of time, as opposed to not telling them & sending someone unfamiliar. The DJ arrived early but-unbeknownst to me, as I was busy getting ready-only set up in the reception hall, not the ceremony room, where we were told he was to set up because we had paid additional money to have him play the ceremony. Once set up, he told our friend who was coordinating that he would just play the music extra loud so the ceremony attendees could here it from across the other room. Had it not been for our friend insisting that he move, because the space seemed too far, we may not have been able to hear our ceremony music. Also, him having to move his equipment delayed the start of our ceremony by about 15 – 20 minutes. Again, we were told beforehand he would be set up in the ceremony room. When it came time for the walkout song, he started to play it, but then stopped abruptly, then started again. I think this had to do with him not being able to see us, the couple, and see our cues, because he was not in the ceremony room. As for the reception, the up lighting was beautiful & the DJ was polite, but he played only about 5 of the«must-play» list of songs we were told to provide to the company. The songs we listed are not hard to find but for whatever reason were not played so that too was disappointing; we ended up asking him to change the music because we didn’t like what was being played & im not certain what happened to the list we created. My intentions are not to nit-pick but after paying approximately $ 1300 or so, you hope things go great.

I highly recommend anybody in search of a DJ, lighting, photo booth, or video presentations take a look at Alusstra Events. Liz and I were in search of a DJ for our wedding reception. I met with Edward and Alma at an wedding extravaganza and they had everything there and sold us on their experience, equipment and price. The Alusstra team came very well recommended continuously throughout. They were the choice DJ by our coordinator, and various others of our wedding event. Everybody knows Alusstra, but they didn’t take advantage of it. Edward and Alma are very personable, and they want to make your event personal and meaningful, and they do a very good job of it. The Alusstra team provided our wedding with awesome lighting, selected and current music, and fully decked out photo booth. All was ready when we needed it to be, and everything was executed to perfection. They scouted the event location and made the necessary adjustments and synchronized their efforts with others. They were very attentive. On the day of the event, Liz and I had zero to worry about. The lighting at our event was set up early, and done beautifully. The sound was crystal clear, quiet and discreet when needed, and bumping when it was needed as well. Edward never took over the event, and balanced the focus on us expertly. He totally made the night a memorable one. Thank you, Edward and Alma; and thank you Alusstra!
