Arbolito’s Nursery

I was very excited to finally visit a nursery here in S.A., as I just moved here. Yes, it has plants, but heck no would I ever consider this a great quality place.
A lot of the plants were dying or had been damaged in some way (EX. too much sun, so leaves were yellow). Quite a bit of the plants had just as many dead leaves (or percentage of the plant) than what was alive. There was a normal selection of plants and trees, but those poor trees had the most obvious of pest problems. My boyfriend and I got bit up by mosquitoes and it wasn’t even in the evening. Some tree’s shriveled and so forth.
The building itself could be better taken care of (there was this cheap, dirty looking plastic tarp as the roof? The floors were muddy in some places, and no one said hi or offered assistance. The place seemed rather empty and void of employees. Maybe it was just one of those days.
In conclusion I won’t be going back. Some of these pictures were also misleading, it didn’t even look that nice.

They have a fantastic selection of inexpensive, local soils and amendments. They really do have a little bit of everything. You need to take some time to visit! Do it!

I would give this place 5 stars if they had a bigger selection. But they get 4 because the staff was friendly and the prices were competitive. I wish I would have written down the you guy that was helping me load up the large plants and pots we purchased while there to just get one plant! :) They had a very nice selection just not a lot of LARGER plants. I will go back and do more business with these guys. I like Milberger, but this place was quite a bit less on a few items. We originally went to look at the pots and found some plants while there. A comeback place for sure.

its an ok place Lots Of Different plants to choose From But The staff was Rather Occupied With Gossiping lol No one asked if i needed Help or anything…
the Plant Supplies Were Outrageously Priced For Such a small Selection of Products! i will say that The plants Themselves Were a Pretty Reasonable Price But Were Not Very Well Maintained They Looked Really Dry like they hadn’t even Watered them that Day, Plus Had lots of Pests On and Around the Plants Like Beatles Gnats Flies Spiders ants and roaches… Literally all those i just listed i saw Not only around the shop But all Cozy in Lots the Plants Themselves Picked up several Pots on the Tables With Beatles on the Leaves, & Big Spiders in Webs across Them Ugh! Creeped Me out Made Me Not wanna Touch any Other Plants –_​– lol

Great selection of just about anything you can think of and then some. We were very impressed with all the different and hard to find types of plants. The prices were very reasonable, not to mention all the sales! Very knowledgeable employees too. =)

This place is pretty sweet. They have all kinds of wonderful herbs for the kitchen, and many that are a bit hard to find.
I love the fact that they offer a discount area with plants that are «dirt» cheap. If you take in a sample of your soil, they will perform an analysis at no charge to let you know what’s going on with your dirt.
They have decent prices on seeds, and pretty good prices on most everything else.
Overall, it’s a pretty good place. The clerks are knowledgeable about horticulture, and are happy to answer questions!
