At 2.69 for a sausage and egg taco, these folks have the highest price breakfast taco I’ve ever eaten. Cheese is extra, as is potato, so if you add both of those you are looking at over four dollars per taco, which would not be a problem if they were huge, which they are not. Apparently you have to ask for salsa; when you do, it is about a half an ounce per serving. Tasty food, terrible value.

Bill Miller isn’t a place you go to for«real» barbeque; you go there because you can get cheap, fast barbecue. The food is okay, but not spectacular.

First off let me say this reviewed has nothing to do with the food. The food was fantastic! I was very please with the food that I received. The problem here was the service. I ordered a number one combo a poor boy with french fries and a drink and they swapped the french fries for beans. No big deal not exactly what I ordered not upset the beans were good. I called to ask what happened with the french fries they told me they’re going to mix up I said no big deal they said if you come by you can have french fries on us so I drove back to the restaurant. Upon my arrival I asked for whoever I was supposed to talk to and I was charged for my french fries. So not only did I have to pay to drive here twice but I also had to pay for my free french fries. At this point I was so pissed I just handed over the money and was like screw it. If I come here again I’m going to check on my future orders to make sure that I got exactly what I ordered.

First time at Bill Miller. I ordered the fried chicken. Liked that they have a drive thru. The chicken was good, hot and fried well, not greasy. The reason for 3 stars? Totally generic roll, come on… no corn bread at a Bbq place? Could at least have a better roll… And they put my chicken on a bed of what could have been fries. Too bad they were soggy and full of grease. They honestly look like they had been around fir some time… and the restaurant had only been open an hour. Boo!

Great fried chicken and moist brisket. Potato salad is the standard potato salad. Green beans are good, pintos are decent, Mexican rice is good too. Our Uncle and Aunt love this place and always order for us so I have only had take out when we are at their home. The fried chicken is what I like most! San Antonio tradition.

Went to Bill Millers at 13151NW Military Hwy this afternoon via the drive thru. I placed an order for the 4 piece chicken breast tenders. In front of me in line a gentlemen in a corvette handed the girl at the drive thru two what looked to be used Bill Millers cups. I didn’t know you could bring dirty cups from your car, hand them thru the window and then have ice tea returned to you. I was perplexed at this and wanted to ask«Bee» but felt it would end up in a big misunderstanding per usual. «Bee» gave me some sort of look after she read my order and I handed her my credit card. She abruptly shut the window for a few seconds then pulled it back open to hand me my order. I wanted to ask about how sanitary it was to hand used/dirty cups to someone handling food but I decided to let it go. I arrived home and sat down with my girlfriend to enjoy an early dinner. The breast tenders were chewy like they had been made several hours ago. I have learned long ago that Bill Millers does not serve fresh Texas BBQ. They have their items delivered daily and merely heat things up when you order them. Have you ever smelled smoke near a Bill Millers??? Usually as the day progresses they get a little lazy and just leave things under heat lamps until someone orders it. They also have a habit of touching the food with their bare hands. I guess I could let that go as do a lot of places but still. The staff has a very«me first» attitude that you dare not cross. The only thing they make fresh is the fried chicken and chicken breast tenders, so that’s the only time I go to Bill Millers is for the fried chicken but again its either hit or miss because the staff gets lazy or rushed and refuses to keep the fried chicken fresh out of the fryer because its too much work I’m assuming. Once in a while my order will hit on all cylinders and the chicken will be hot and fresh out of the fryer and be just as I ordered but 8 times out of 10 they’ll get my order wrong or the chicken will be as it was today, chewy and reheated. Oh and what is with Bill Millers always putting young girls at the drive thru window and the cashier? You’ll never see a grown up mature adult working either of these positions. Very strange but unfortunately the restaurant is a «Texas tradition» so it has a strong name reputation here. Again, in my opinion the only thing they do right is fried chicken and even that they usually manage to screw up.

Unacceptable service at your Bill Miller #29 store on NW Military and George Rd. As a San Antonio native and barbecue enthusiast, Bill Miller is a go-to option for me for dinner. Unfortunately, I had a TERRIBLE experience this evening(approx. 5:37:43PM according to my receipt) with your cashier 1000 Kristyn Marie and manager Kristen. First, I tried ordering through the drive thru speaker, but the cashier was unable to hear my order(so I thought). I repeated myself and even raised my voice, since I thought I maybe wasn’t loud enough. She at first did not switch my fries for hash browns as I asked until the third time I requested it. Then, when I ordered a Baker combo(salad and potato) and a separate vegetable soup, she rang it as a soup and salad, no potato. I tried to correct the issue but she kept saying«Ma’am?» and not listening to me. I gave up and drove to the window and ordered directly to her face. When clarifying the soup and salad/potato ordeal(as these items were for two different people in my home) she rudely asked«So how you would like me to ring that in?» I politely asked her to ring it in as I had initially ordered it. My order took over 8 minutes to get to me. She did not hand me a receipt to confirm my transaction until after she gave me my food. I had a gut feeling that my order was wrong, especially since I was missing a sweet tea, but I needed to get home to my parents and 1 year old with their dinner. After finally getting home and unloading food for my daughter and parents(I bought them dinner as a thank you for watching her today), I did not receive the hash browns I requested, which were listed on my receipt, nor the«Wrangler Plate» — which I had ordered a Regular plate, not Wrangler. I called manager and she was not accommodating to my concerns. She said people make mistakes but she will replace my order. I reminded her she wasn’t replacing it, as I never received it to begin with. I only asked for the food I was missing from my order, and not for anything extra like a pie or to replace the entire meal, like some other establishments do. Upon arrival, the cashier pointed at me and made a comment to another worker saying«Oh that’s her» and called the manager over. They spoke for 5 minutes in plain sight of me before acknowledging me. This made me very concerned that they were going to do something to contaminate my food for my complaint. The manager came over and said she would get my hash browns and have my plate, but I would be charged extra for a regular plate if that’s what I wanted. I showed her my lack of purse and pockets, that I did not have money on me, as I rushed back to the store to get my dinner so I could reunite with my family. I also informed her that the cashier failed to confirm my order or give me an itemized receipt to confirm my order, so I was not able to discover that I was charged incorrectly until after unloading my bag and discovering the entire plate missing. I felt that I shouldn’t have to cover that cost. Her only response was«Mistakes can be made.» She was rude and not friendly. I also found it odd that the plate was not ready for me when I arrived, even though I had advised the manager over the phone I would be coming in to receive the rest of my order, and was incredibly antsy waiting an additional 6 minutes for my meal. I finally got back home and settled with my family, only to discover my meal was 3 lousy, chewy strips of brisket, with a 1⁄3 of it being gristle and fat, completely inedible. I have a picture of the meal I received if you would like to see that as well. It was also drowned in sauce, that I did not ask for. What was supposed to be a nice weekend dinner with three generations of San Antonians enjoying barbecue left me very frustrated and hungry, and my parents feeling bad for my inconvenience. I also felt bad that my parents had to stay watching my daughter, as they had her since 8am this morning, while I drove all the way back to the store to pick up my meal. I ended up microwaving some ramen noodles for dinner instead. So disappointed. ***UPDATE: I received a call from the District Manager promptly after giving the Bill Miller Call Center my info. Jimmy Nalls(DM) was apologetic and addressed my concerns with the staff and management at this location. He also offered to comp my next order there. I appreciate it Jimmy! I had no intention of boycotting Bill’s for this experience, but happy to know the issues here will be resolved!

This is not BBQ!!! This is fast food garbage. This place has bbq flavoring like BBQ Pringles. It’s not real BBQ. Take a bite and it is obvious that this«meat» is injected with all kinds of unnatural chemical flavors. Here’s a hint… If there’s no smoke or smoke stack at the restaurant it’s not BBQ!

This is one of the greats of BBQ I know. been eating at BMs since a wee lad. Always on point when I need a meat fix. This location has been holding the fort for BM since we moved nearby 3 years ago. And here is some Off the Wall TX knowledge, all Laredo-ens love Bill Millers BBQ it’s a must when we Come to SATX. But the good part is that this location does not come with Band-aids(it’s a Laredo thing)!

Never heard of fast food BBQ! Price is good for what they give you. Could use more meat on the chop beef sandwiches. What upset me is that you get this amazing tea only to have to pay for a refill. Who in fast food charges for refills.

Not sure why this one is on Unilocal as Miller Bill BBQ but it is definitely on par with every other Bill Miller I’ve been to. I normally order the BBQ Sandwich plate. I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s two BBQ sandwiches, fries and a large tea for about 5.50 after tax! If you haven’t been to Bill Miller’s before then you should definitely try it out, if you are a regular at Bill Miller’s then this one is just as good as you have come to expect.

I have been a fan of Bill’s since high school. The food is pretty tasty with some healthy choices and fairly inexpensive. I really love their beef soup and smoked chicken. It is Texas comfort food. Good BBQ.
