Cedar Creek Golf Course

I really enjoyed this course. Kind of hidden but a great course with challenges and nice scenery. The GolfNow app had a great deal for $ 25/​person for a 4 person tee-​time, including 2 carts. That was a great deal. The greens were well kept. The driving range needed a little cleaning up. Will definitely be returning to this course.

Played this course the Forth of July weekend 2015. The course is very tight as it lies in a community in the hillside, so homes and woods lining the fairways. The course demands a straight tee shot, and the greens are large and angulating. I was told by the golfers playing with me that this was once a PGA qualifier… it plays like one. If you’re looking for a challenge this is a great course for you. If you’re looking for a relaxing enjoyable outing, I recommend somplace else.

Really awesome golf course. Was challenging, especially if you choose to walk. Lots of changes in elevation with narrow fairways mostly throughout. The price was really good especially for military. The carts were electric which was nice. Nice 3 ½ hr round of golf with threesome.

So much potential, unfortunately the course is not on pace to achieve it. Cedar Creek is challenging with its great terrain and elevations. However, the lack of management, or lack of money to allow management to put the proper maintenance in to the course, has it going a direction away from the great course it could be.
The course lacks any kind of clubhouse amenities and is in need of major updating. While this doesn’t define the course, it is anyone’s first impression and an early indicator in to how well the tee boxes, fairways and greens are maintained.
The lack of marshals, particularly on the weekends, not only aids the slow play but doesn’t deter the clientele you would expect to be playing on a course with cheap green fees. It is common to see people playing in jeans and tee shirts as well as driving carts through the rough, across tee boxes, alongside the greens and other areas typically not allowed on a properly managed course.
Finally, the amount of trash you see in the wooded areas and other hazards really takes away from what could be an absolutely beautiful course in the Texas Hill Country.
Unless you are looking for a cheap round and a long day, spend the extra dollars where you’ll get the full golf experience.

This course is beautiful. Municipal courses have been hit or miss for me, and these guys definitely hit. Well maintained, challenging course. Beautiful scenery too. I can’t wait to get back in the area and play here again.

I used to play this course almost weekly when I was in high school. It is a nice straightforward course, but my last year playing (2010) the course was under a lot of construction and not in very good shape. I cannot vouch for the current state of the course, but I know it did have great potential once the necessary repairs would be made. Also the clubhouse is/​was limited as far as food selection, no restaurant, just an overpriced snack bar.

Best value for excellent golf in the city, and my favorite course on the Alamo Golf Trail. The course offers sweeping fairways with challenging hills and tree placements. Moderately difficult with not too many water hazards. Both number 9 & 10 should provide an ego boost (see: inflated driving distance) due to elevated tee boxes. Easy to walk on in the afternoons and cheap for a twilight nine holes.

I love this course. What a beautiful setting nestled at the bottom of a canyon. The course features lots of dramatic changes in elevation. A challenging but still fun course to play.
The course does have a driving range and a well maintained putting green to warm up before play. All of the carts are equipped with GPS. I know I appreciate this as I am terrible at eying distance. The course features 5 doglegs with 14 being a double dog leg. I don’t know why but I love playing dog legs. I love the 10^th hole as you tee off from near the top down to the canyon floor below.
Weekend rounds often do take 5 hours but I do not care. There is always a breeze, plenty of shade and a chance of encountering wild turkey, deer, roadrunners and rabbits.
I am always in for a round here.

While the location is optimal, and the the fact that they utilize grey-​water is commendable, I’m still just not a fan of the operation here. Always 5+ hrs rounds, slow play and the lack of marshals regulating slow play.

Price: $ 30-​$ 40. I’ve only played there during the $ 30 specials.
Course: Nice course tucked in the hill-​country. Very scenic. Unfortunately too many views of houses. A little hilly, but walkable. Almost everyone rides though.
Fairways: About the same length as olmos, but tighter. The fairways appear more difficult than they really are. The balls seem to find their way back into a favorable position, thus I lose very few balls.
Greens: Pretty good.
Summary: If you really golf, you have to check out the course. Its a good muni.
