This week marks my third month as a resident of Cevallos Lofts. I could not be happier with my choice. Dana made the entire process of completing the necessary forms, determining my move in date, helping me select a prime parking spot, and securing a choice floor plan and unit so easy. If she is represents the standard of excellence which I have experienced so far, then Cevallos has every reason to look forward to years of success. The facilities are impeccable and the response to my one maintenance request, which was nothing more than the need for a new battery on my alarm, was quick and hassle-free. I’m amazed at how quiet and peaceful the building is. I love the location in southtown as well. It’s convenient to everything I love to do in downtown San Antonio. When you’re ready to make the move downtown, make Cevallos Lofts your first and last stop.

I couldn’t be happier. Getting into the apartment was easy, and Dana is great. She really went above and beyond to help us get our lease underway. The grounds are beautiful, quiet, and the amenities are fantastic. The apartments themselves are just gorgeous, and I have enjoyed coming home to my place every day. I never hear any noise, even on First Fridays. I occasionally hear an upstairs neighbor walking around, but it’s muffled enough that I’m never disturbed. You can hear nearby trains from a distance, but where I am(toward the back of the building), it’s not loud enough to disrupt anything. All in all, I couldn’t recommend this place higher. It’s been a great experience, and I plan to stay for a long time.

I’ve lived here for 3 years and it’s been the best experience of my life. I love the area and environment of southtown but most importantly I love the resort style building I live in and the staff. Jenine, the manager and her assistant have been here since they’ve opened. I love the stability in the leasing office, it’s been so convenient to have the same management team who knows me and truly cares. They are by far the best team I have ever experienced in an apartment. Jenine is so caring and truly meets all of her residents needs. We always know what’s going on within our complex and community. Our building is very well kept up by the maintenance team. The different lounges, gyms and other amenities in the building really make Cevallos lofts stand out from the rest. I can honestly say that I’ve never lived in an apartment for more than a year and I’m going on my forth here. I HIGHLY recommend you considering this place! Great job to Jenine and her staff.

Hunter was our leasing agent and did an excellent job of making us feel comfortable and we feel like we made a great decision. We are excited to get to move in May. Thank you Hunter for all of your help and king above and beyond.

Moving to San Antonio wasn’t really my first choice, but every once in a while you gotta do what you gotta do. One of the things that made me excited however was looking for a place to live. Reading up on the city, its new developments, the art district, the food etc really had me looking forward to coming to Texas. I did some research on rental properties, and the one that had me very interested: Cevallos lofts. The floor plans, the amenities, the location. It all looked very promising. Making an appointment for a tour was easy. That’s when we «met» Hunter Dorman for the first time — a very friendly and accommodating young gentleman that was happy to answer any questions we had and send us additional photos. He was also the leasing specialist that greeted us when we came to see Cevallos. Hunter gave us the grand tour, showed us everything the apartment complex had to offer, fed us coffee and ice cream(the way to my heart) and truly went out of his way to help us. Cevallos itself is beautiful, so any pictures you find, they don’t do the lofts justice. The pool area is grand, clean and beautiful. There are 3 gyms(including a place for yoga and spinning classes), club rooms(including pool tables), a spa, a small but very very nice grocery store with many healthy options and friendly staff. The hallways are filled with funky local art. The carpet is clean(even though there are plenty of pets on the premises) and everyone you meet is friendly(something that makes moving to a new place a lot easier). Applying for the apartment was made easy, once again we got great help from Hunter and the office staff. Not only did they do anything to make the application process quick and convenient, especially Hunter went out of his way to help us with storage, parking and moving in as quickly as possible. I know we haven’t been here long, I don’t know much about neighbors, noise or the likes. However, we were helped in any way needed, treated with respect and friendliness, all our wishes were accommodated. I am truly excited to be living here and to meet neighbors, explore our neighborhood and enjoy everything San Antonio has to offer.

Pros: Great amenities, including an in-building general store with amazing customer service and food, modern atmosphere, great location close to a lot of the best the city has to offer, and helpful office staff and maintenance Cons: Noise! and Parking Check out to find out about all the perks of living at Cevallos Lofts. The site does a good job of displaying what the complex has to offer, amenity wise. Personal experience allows me to tell you walking through hallways decked out in modern art is really lovely, although the carpet stains from the valet trash«juice» leaking during pick up and occasional puddle of dog urine– not so great. To their credit, the Lofts try to stay on top of keeping the carpets clean, but it’s still pretty gross pretty often. Just don’t go barefoot outside of your unit! Love the lounges, all equipped with comfortable seating and the main floor with pool table and full kitchen– though to be honest, I used the lounges less than ten times my entire tenure at the complex. Be sure to bring your washer and dryer in as soon as possible– the on-site laundry is always dirty and the machines are often broken, to the point of flooding the hallway on occasion. The apartment itself had a unique layout and nice-ish furnishings. The construction was cheap, as in, water leaking into the sliding door track and discoloring the wall. During their inspection(which hey, they did that. Left a note that all apartments were being inspected on such and such date, and then maintenance and management came in and took a look around… not necessarily unpleasant, but not welcome, either.) the management and maintenance representative were not surprised by the leaking, going so far as to say«another one?». Really, really, *really* cheap carpet that was already dirty when I moved in, and I was the first tenant in the unit! THEREALPROBLEM: Noise! Oh my goodness, I do not have super hearing and I was STILL kept awake most nights by my neighbor(hearing someone’s average voice conversations verbatim through my bedroom wall does not inspire faith in one’s privacy!), not to mention TRAINS and their horns at all hours of the day and night, along with the bar next door blasting music through their exceptional speaker system, and quite possibley THELOUDEST trash pick up service I’ve ever experienced– seriously, nightmare-ish. Spoke with other residents who said they too lost sleep due to the trains, although not many heard their neighbors so well. And, parking. Spring for the garage because the parking is EXTREMELY limited. If you show up after six, you’re not finding parking in the lot surrounding the building, or on the street in front of the building, or across the street. You’ll be parking in the La Tuna parking lot, which is unpaved and full of broken glass, etc. In sum, really helpful office staff and maintenance people along with great amenities aren’t reason enough to stay in a place as poorly constructed and planned as the CL. The place I’ve moved to is older, less centrally located, but so much more quiet, with great parking. Every complex has its own gotchas, but this one is a *much* better fit. I WILL miss the staff at Uncommon Fare, the onsite store, and the store’s great selection and convenience. But, I’ll survive. :)

We have lived here for 3 months now & like it a lot. We chose to live here based on location. We wanted to be in a an area that had a lot of independently owned bars/restaurants/businesses that we could walk to and access to the river walk running/biking trail. The apartments are new and are a little over a year old now. You have a wide array of floor plan choices and can accordingly pay more based upon the finishes you seek. Trash valet is provided as part of the rent while chutes for trash and recycling are conveniently available on every floor. Basic Internet, concierge service for package delivery etc is provided. Parking is free in the building’s above ground lot and paid for underground. 3 gyms on site, a very nice pool & a convenience store on the first floor. It was very easy to move in due to a very large loading dock that could handle the semi that our movers used for the cross country haul. The freight elevator is conveniently located at the loading dock. Storage units are available in varied sizes all over the building. The building is «green» in it’s construction. Our utility bills have been pretty low so far(although, we haven’t lived here through the summer heat) The staff in the office and very helpful and accommodating. They respond to e-mails promptly. Rent payments can be made over a credit card that they can keep on file which is quite convenient. The downside so far has been: 1. The train takes some getting used to as it blares on it’s horn through the night. This is an issue no matter where you live in the city limits. 2. Some of the residents have a blatant disregard to the maintenance of the common areas & picking up after themselves and their pets. However, the cleaning staff goes around very often rectifying this issue. Unfortunately the carpet in the common areas is beyond help in some parts of the building. Overall, the positives significantly outweigh the negatives. The fact that we can walk to some of the most exciting dining in the city is a huge plus. We had also looked at the Can Plant at the pearl. However, we could get a two bedroom here for the price of a one bedroom at the Pearl and were not too thrilled to pay a high rent and live in a constant construction zone at the pearl.
