CORNNUGGETS! That’s starts my review since too many Chinese buffets have done away with them on the line. I absolutely love corn nuggets. This place has them. Food was good, hot and fresh. Great variety. Good service. I would definitely return to this location for the buffet, and of course, the CORNNUGGETS!

Considering I’ve never eaten at a Chinese Buffet before and it was on Christmas Day I would say they did a good job of trying to keep up with the crowds of people. Not everything was great but it was certainly better than I expected. It was odd to me that there were non-Chinese items like cheese sticks and mac and cheese but it helped with the kids for sure.

Best Mongolian stirfry in my opinion. You don’t have to mix your own sauce, just tell them if you want it spicy and they’ll do the rest. The sauce is tasty, with hints of ginger. The spicy noodles is also one of the best in town. Hot and sour soup is on point, not too sour. This place does well with kitchen cops, blue plate award… that’s great since most all you can eat places don’t score well in cleanliness.

I love this place. Everyone who works here are great and always on their toes. The food is never disappointing. Always ready to refill your drink.

In general I do not like buffets however this China Harbor is an outstanding exception. We eat here at least once a month. They have a good selection of Chinese and American and have something for everyone. I go for the seafood, seafood and seafood. Fish, crayfish, clams, sushi crab legs and shrimp cooked several ways. The buffet is kept clean and the food is steaming hot and refilled often. Service is prompt and very friendly. A bargain for all the seafood we eat.

I went here for lunch. These Chinese buffet places can be hit or miss. This one was more of a hit than a miss. It’s good for what it is; an Americanized Chinese food, sushi, and Monglian BBQ buffet, with a good variety a decent price for lunch. One of the standouts was the spare ribs. The Gen Tso’s was also pretty good and so was the hot and sour soup. I also liked that they had a few different noodle dishes. I’d definitely come back here for lunch.

What do you expect out of a chinese buffet? It was clean. It had freindly staff. The food is eh. The best thing was the stir fried beef. Besides that the chicken was all very sweet and all around it was just a sub par experience. But if your hungry and your looking for a buffet itll do. That is all.

The place was clean and the wait staff very friendly. The food was just ok. I have been to other buffets that where better. Just some flavors where not on point. Really disillusioned in the dumplings:(

How terrible. Rice over cooked. Chicken dry, fatty, and over sauced. Cheese Rangoons were almost decent, if they weren’t so greasy. But honestly the worst of it all was the manager… don’t bother letting him know that his food isn’t up to par, he will just tell you that you’re wrong and all the other customers are happy. Head the warnings, don’t waste your money, ended up paying 15 dollars for food and a drink I didn’t even have.

One word: AWFUL My husband, best friend and I went to try this restaurant out, as we love Chinese and Thai food. We eat Chinese food at least 2 – 3 times a month and we have NEVER tasted anything so bad. I got sweet and sour chicken, «cheese puffs»(crab rangoons) and chicken fried rice. My husband got General Tso’s chicken, chicken fried rice and rice noodles. My best friend had shrimp fried rice, sushi and General Tso’s chicken. I tried five different pieces of chicken, trying to give it a chance, but I was unable to swallow one bite from any piece except one. It tasted how my dog smells after a long walk on a hot, humid day. I was hopeful for the cheese puffs, because this is my favorite side. I ate two that were okay, but the third had a strange metallic taste and I had to spit it out, and wash it down with my drink. Very last chance was the rice and it was hard and dry. Absolutely disgusting. My husbands chicken was hard, tasted old and his rice noodles were hard also. And just like mine, his rice was dry and hard to chew. He actually went and got a new side of rice from a new pan, thinking maybe it was just old, but it was still dry and hard. My best friend fortunately had a stuffed a nose so couldn’t taste very much but did say the sushi seemed tasteless and had the same issue with her rice being hard and dry. I have never asked for a restaurant to comp my whole meal, ever. But considering both my husband and I barely ate any of our food, we approached the manager and told him how our food tasted. His very first response was«None of my other customers have a problem with my food.» We argued for a few minutes and I told him several times we eat the same foods all the time and have NEVER had an issue like this. We offered to pay for all of the drinks and my friend’s meal since she ate most of hers. He said we couldn’t be issued a refund because we already«wasted his food» and that we should have«told him in the beginning». I was very upset when he said his, because we had only been in the restaurant for maybe 10 minutes. I told him to go look at our plates. After that he came back saying that he would comp us our meals but would not accept that his«food was bad». We paid for our drinks and my friend’s meal and left. I have never seen customer service so terrible and a manager so rude. We will never EVER go to another China Harbor.

The place is deceiving. Is very nice from the outside but once you walk in it smells like urine. The restaurant seriously needs remodeling. The food is not fresh, unappetizing. The beef with hot peppers is good. The sushi is bad the plates have water and bleach smell. the rice is over cooked. I was not a fan not your money’s worth. Waitress was ok and attentive. But what turned me off the most was the kitchen staff leaning on the bar starring at every woman passing by as if this place was a cantina.

Food is good for a buffet bbq and seafood is very good in my opinion. They have some nice décor and the please is big enough to seat a lot of people. The reason I take off a star is because their service is hit or miss. I’ve had some great waiters there but I’ve also had some that completely ignore me and are on their sell phone the whole time I’m there. Overall I would recommend if your looking for a good Chinese buffet experience.

I’ve ate most every Chinese buffet in San Antonio and this one was the worst yet. Got a piece of bad shrimp that I can still taste in my mouth… spring rolls tasted like burnt plastic… crab legs are soggy and no good… walking into the place it seems like a nice restaurant but once you get the food completely the opposite…$ 30 for two people is not even close to worth it.

For a buffet this place is quite good, lunch prices are reasonable and the food is pretty good and the service is great. If you are expecting a 5 star restaurant you will probably be disappointed, but if you want to try a bunch different things definitely give this place a chance.

You know, 3 stars is a fair rating I would say. It’s pretty much what you would expect from a Chinese Buffet, however I was a little disappointed in the selection since there’s a Chinese Buffet off Bandera that charges way less for MUCH more options. Spoiled I guess. Anyway, nothing really stood out and made me really love this place, and the same could be said that nothing made me hate or dislike it either. 3 stars is pretty fair.

The cheese sticks were good. But the Mac and cheese was kinda cold and not much flavor. — my son, age 8 I thought the restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. There was a good variety at the buffet. I liked having so many fresh fruit options. Our server took good care of us and was very friendly. We will surely come back.

Took my mom and niece yesterday for lunch. It’s pretty typical buffet. I was expecting more shrimp and chicken varieties. I ate beef broccoli, sesame chicken, fried shrimp, shrimp and chicken fried rice, greenbeans, and an egg roll. It all tasted good. Just your standard Chinese food. They have an impressive sushi bar that I can’t wait to try after I have my baby. They also have a guy that will stir fry your choice of veggies and meat in front of you. My mom enjoyed that. The waitress was attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant. Will come back.

Nice, big, clean restaurant where you are greeted immediately upon entering. Hostess seated us quickly and took our drink orders. She placed us next to the buffet as she could tell we were hungry. Lunch buffet is $ 7.99 and includes everything — soups, main courses, fruit, salads, and desserts. Everything is labeled over it, so you know what you are getting. The hot and spicey soup was really good, and I thought it was a good sign. Then I had the sweet and sour pork which was very good. The meal was going great– good friends, great conversation, and good food. Then I took a bite of a chicken dish. It tasted bad, cut open looked really bad, and was filled with fat and some other gross things. Meal done! That 1 bite will keep me from coming back. I don’t know what it was and probably should never know. Gross! Why not 0 or 1 star? Everything but that last bite.

Pretty good as far as Chinese buffets in San Antonio. They always seem to have fresh food out and you’re sure to find some good dishes. And if you wanna eat healthy they have a few vegetarian dishes. And a HUGEPLUS is that they have Blue Bell ice cream!!!
