Stopped here merely because we needed food. First of all, the price!!! Holy cow! It’s a third of the prices of the buffets in Silicon Valley. Later I learned we got what we paid for. We came around 11:15 on a Monday. The food looked old and was very unappetizing. Some things were over seasoned and undercooked(I think the string beans were taken straight from the market and slathered in sauce). The sushi rice was crusty and the sushi was 90% rice… There were foods I had never seen before. Marshmallow and mayonnaise? Capt’n Crunch crispies? Corn balls? Maybe it’s a Texas thing. I was hoping the Mongolian BBQ would have been okay, but the teriyaki sauce was NOT teriyaki sauce… I can’t describe it. The women’s bathroom resembled Seaworld, but I heard the men’s bathroom was decent. The staff was also pretty nice. I don’t know if I’m judging too hard. The place was packed by 12pm. However I didn’t see many Asian people. It seemed like a popular spot for local construction workers and families. 1⁄5

What happened to this place? I used to love it. The list of evil is long tonight. It’s dinner price and All of the food is old. I have witnessed gloveless food handling, dirty hands, cross contamination. Vegetarians beware! Asked for a steak and the man grabbed tongs from the veggies, shoved them into the bloody metal bin, dropped the steak on the grill, then the tongs went right back in the veggies. The counters and restrooms were similar in cleanliness. I am not happy. The two stars are solely for the server. Good job man. This was supposed to be the last time out with my wife in a while because she is commuting to a special diet. I guess we were helped out because she seems to not want to ever eat again after tonight.

Typical Chinese buffet. It wasn’t bad but wasn’t all that great either. Service was good though. The server always made sure used plates were picked up and drinks refilled. If you like lots of cheap Chinese food, this place is for you. I don’t recommend the Chinese ribs though. I’ll probably come back but not for awhile.

From the outside, the place looks like yet another chinese buffet, but it’s actually got great selection. In addition to the standard buffet fare, there’s less common chinese food like crab rangoons, potstickers and chow mei fun. And everything’s really well done.

Children running around the buffet area, unchecked. Wonton soup tasteless, but the hot and sour wasn’t bad. Very little flavor to almost everything. The ribs tasted good, but were too tough to eat. Shrimp not cleaned, pork and chicken had been in the walk-in too long. There wasn’t one thing I could single out as «Really Good» The service was attentive, but that wasn’t enough to make us want to come back. Ever.

This place rocks, we are regulars. Most Chinese buffets creep me out but this place is clean and the food is good. The bowls at the Mongolian BBQ line could be a little cleaner though, 3 out of 4 aren’t as clean as they could be.

I like this buffet. It’s not crazy fancy or anything, just your basic Americanized Chinese buffet. They do serve crab legs cold for dinner, and there is a Mongolian section in the back you can order from. A basic yogurt machine was serving chocolate vanilla mix when I ate, and I really like that they have corn nuggets and yummy fried shrimp! For two people with one drink it was around $ 25. It’s convenient to the shopping around there(Big Lots, Dollar Tree, NorthStar Mall).

If I could rate this zero stars I would. I went here on my first date with my boyfriend. I did suggest the place because I saw that it has been around for a while. And boy was I extremely embarrassed at my horrible choice in dinner. I thought I would give it a try. This lady was really rude and when I asked for a straw she threw them at me. Literally. She didn’t even apologize. The food was expensive for the quality I recieved. I HAVENEVERTASTEDFOODSOBAD. I left after spending 10 minutes in there. When I asked for my check the lady got really upset because we didn’t finish our food. I know they had signs saying not to waste anything but I could barely get rid of horrible taste of the pot stickers, and a sweet sticky dinner roll. Don’t even get me started with the steak. I’m surprised they are still in business. Don’t eat here. Please. It’s gross. Go to a hospital after if you choose to.

This place is straight garbage. Service sucks also. If I could give no stars I would.

In addition to the server being absolutely insulting of my intelligence, the food was only moderately decent. I wasn’t going to post, until she looked over my shoulder to figure my tip math out… Thank goodness I had help adding my tip. Sheesh.

My first review got deleted! Hmm? Avoid this place, it has roaches crawling on the walls. The mgr accused me of bringing it in. Called Metro Health and they also found roaches. Because of this restaurant I’m avoiding any kind of buffets. The one star wasn’t earned, but Unilocal wants a rating.

My family came here for dinner tonight. Our waitress was was nice. Pricing for dinner with $ 9.99 not bad. I believe the children age went up to 11. I ate the shrimp steamed on the buffet. It was very good not rubbery at all. the cheese wontons were very well stuffed They have a huge parking lot shared along with the rest of the strip mall easy access I would come here again.

It was our first time visiting this buffet. When it first opened I thought the place was much bigger, but it is not. It is a small buffet place in a shopping center. There is a nice variety of food, but it is not very tasty. The service was good; our waitress was very nice and we did not have to get up to ask for refills. We just really wish there were a nice Chinese buffet here in San Antonio.

The service isn’t the best, and the food is a real hit or miss. I like the grill in back really cool, but the«steak» is crap!

3:30pm It’s a buffett. I was trying to eat at the food court at Northstar Mall but was so packed, I drove down San Pedro just to find a place. Was politely greeted at the front and was sat down quickly. The place looked clean, table was clean. Server was very polite. While at the buffett, one of the team members; assuming a cook; was replacing food pans and he looked angry. Oh well. Someone tried to joke with him and he did not crack a smile. Only frowned. The food was kept up well and was looking fresh. The sushi was BLAHHHH. Pretty nasty. The items I got on were ok. Chicken on a Stick, pretty tasty. There is a single room if you go in with a big group. Good atmosphere. Sad thing is the men’s restroom was hit up by some loosers leaving their stupid tags behind.

It’s really hard to not be a fan of Chinese Buffets. This particular China King has really great service and excellent sushi. Most sushi buffets have a very fishy taste, but I find this location has a very natural taste and smell. The selection of food is pretty basic. Dinners serve crab legs if you’re into that sort of thing. The dessert selection could be better. Most of their items are too hard to eat and hurts my teeth. The yogurt could use more mixture, less water as most of the times it’s very gritty(I’ve made machine yogurt, I know how that works). For me, I choose to eat here when I’m shopping at CD Exchange, Big lots or Army Surplus.

I have been looking for a good chinese buffet for a long time… they are so hard to find but if you can manage to find one they are soooooo flippin delicious! This place — not so delicious. First of all, your american food section shouldn’t consist of half of the buffet… if I wanted american food I would not be here. Secondly, please do your chinese well. I don’t want mushy vegetables and bad meat. And everyone loves chinese food for it’s savory flavors, don’t ruin it with a salt ratio close to that of the Dead Sea. Anyways, I won’t be back. But want a place to go, suggestions?

Good solid Chinese buffet.(Full disclosure: I went there two days in a row. Don’t judge me). I love Mongolian grills and this one is very good especially for being included in the total buffet price. And even the sushi was not horrible. At dinner time, they bring out the crab legs and these huge shrimp(haha an oxymoron) which only my mom feasted on(I wont eat things with heads still attached). The dessert bar was pretty standard, save two items: the cap’n crunch marshmallow treat and the ice milk/frozen custard/ice cream like frozen treat. Both were pretty tasty. Service is very good and they never let our drinks go empty. So far the best Chinese food I’ve found in San Antonio.
