Great food, big portions on breakfast plates. Warm food came out of the kitchen(on warm plate) in what seemed like 3 minutes. The Barbacoa I ordered wasn’t greasy. Waitresses were nice. Overall, great visit!

One of our favorite places to go! Whether it’s going there to eat or picking up some tacos in the morning, El Jalisco never disappoints! Great service, great food, and great prices. We have been going 5 years now and will continue to do so! We really love this place!

My favorite little hole in the wall. I’ve sent many satisfied customers and colleagues to this place. The staff is always very kind and courteous. Kind of a rough area but the food is awesome. Always affordable menu items and even a kids menu. The bathrooms are sometimes dirty so avoid them.

Food is OK. Buy having the TV& the radio in Spanish full blast at the same time sucks!

Tried today for the first time and walked away happy. Tried a torta and gordita and they were both tasty. All with a drink for under $ 10 Would definitely eat there again if in the neighborhood.

This little hole in the wall place restaurant was awesome! My chorizo and egg taco was delicious without any grease drippings at all. The carne guisada was also very good. Tender and flavorful. The service was great. Very friendly too. I will definitely keep coming back.

This is a really good restaurant. If you want the real deal, this is the place to go. The price is right, too.

They use fake cheese and what tastes like store-bought flour tortillas

The thing I love about living in this area is that there are approximately ninety million insanely good Mexican restaurants. And even for this neighborhood, Jalisco is outstanding. The service is friendly and I have yet to get a bad meal here. Consistently amazing.

Only thing stopping this place from five stars was its shit guacamole. How can you screw this up when 90% of your patrons are Central American(mostly Mexican). The tacos were incredible and the service was cool. I’d eat here again.

Every time I go to this place, it’s a great experience. The food is authentic, inexpensive and tasty. It helps if you know Spanish… or at least try, they will appreciate the effort. The breakfast is awesome, big food. Like the huevos rancheros, or try the fajitas. All the shrimp dishes are yummy. Did I mention the goodly portions? all for about 7 or 8 dollars. it’s a hole in the wall with novellas playing on the TV but it’s al awesome find. Check it out.

El Jalisco, oh how I miss you! I still haven’t found a match here in Austin. So everytime I make it to San Antonio, I make sure to stop for some breakfast! Food is cheap & delicious. Waiters are great, although speaking some spanish sure does help. Quick service as well. Best sausage and egg plate I could ever eat. And although they switched out the salsa, it’s still great. Now they have a presweetened tea also!

If your looking for a local favorite, this place is one of my picks. There are Jaliscos all over town and I am not sure if they are all connected but they all are very good and very affordable. This place is one of my local favorites but this place has ridiculously low prices. I love the breakfasts, two can eat for less than $ 10. Try the Omelet, surprisingly good. The Menudo was not the best I have had so you may want to pass on that. Otherwise, huge menu, great food, great price!
