Love this place! Service is great and staff is great. Not bad for the wallet either.

I love how cheap this place is! They always have friendly staff and they’re never that busy when I walk in. Kimber is my favorite hairdresser. She is such a doll. She cut 14 inches off my hair and still made me look fabulous! She’s the only person I trust with my hair. The location is fantastic because it’s next to the Popcorn Place AND Moshe’s Golden Falafel, one of my favorite restaurants in SA. I highly recommend Fantastic Sam’s if you’re not looking to spend $ 50 on a cut but still look GREAT.

I took my little brother here the other day to chop off his crazy curly locks. When we walked in, the shop was pretty dead and had only 2 – 3 customers. We signed in and waited a few minutes before a hair stylist came to get us. She was really nice and my brother just loved her as he was able to talk about video games nonstop with her. Our experience was pleasant and it was only $ 10 to cut his hair, which if you ask me is pretty cheap. We’ll definitely be back when his crazy mane gets out of control again.

They do a fine job here. It’s nothing special, but it doesn’t suck, either. If you need a basic haircut, I think you’ll find the place exceeds your expectations. If you need something special… I might look elsewhere. But all in all, it does a great job of being exactly what it is, not pretending to be anything else. As far as stylists go, I’d definitely recommend Blue. She’s been here for years and always seems to give the best, most consistent cut.

I got my hair cut at a reasonable price and Blue was very nice. I’m so relieved to not have been subjected to a chop-shop.

and a stylist, they leave for a better place. I don’t hold that against them, if they find a better place then I’m happy for them. I just hate having to start all over again. About 6 weeks ago, I went to a salon that was close to work and since it wasn’t anything fancy, I didn’t think to ask the price for a haircut. I have a pixie and going 4 weeks in between hair cuts, well, the pixie loses it’s shape and you lose the ease of quick styling. I was in the chair for a while and listened intensely as my stylist went on about his ex-girlfriend and her lack of motivation. Once the cut was done, and after he dried and applied product, it looked very similar to my previous FS cuts. I was pleased. It wasn’t like, :WOW!” it was, «okay, I can live with this». Then he said, «It’s 55.00». 55 bucks to trim my pixie and then I added a 20% tip! so, 66.00 for a trim. I’m sure he is worth it, if you have beautiful long silky layers, or have that perfect angled bob, or going from long to very short. My guess is that you pay for the time, no matter what you get. Which is fine. I should have done my homework. So, fast forward to today. I need a trim so I start« Unilocaling». FS on McCullough was on my way home and it had some positive reviews and although a couple were older, I decided to stop there anyway. Eva was a wonderful stylist. She asked me what I wanted and then proceeded to explain each snip. No, it wasn’t a major cut but to me it was important. She checked it over and over to make sure it was even and then shampooed which included a relaxing head massage. She asked if it was okay to use product and if so, she wanted me try a new wax they were selling. She didn’t push me to buy, she said, «wear it home, play with it and if you like it, we sell it». That was it. I am pleased. Very pleased. She says she’s been there 4 years and loves her job and coworkers. I hope this is true and that I don’t have to find someone else anytime soon because she really made me happy. So, if you need a new or back up plan, try FS on McCullough and give Eva a try. I’m sure you’ll happy too!

This is my go-to place for a haircut when my other stylist Tee is away from her shop. Like this week — who said she could go on vacation? Anyway, I was lucky to get Jacob as the next available stylist. Very friendly without being overbearing, personable and funny. He gives a fabulous head massage as he washes and conditions your hair. Ask for him by name.

I’ve been getting my haircut here for almost two years and after trying Rubin, Blue and a few others I never walked out unhappy. COURTNEY is the one that is the absolute best in this location, she wins national awards, pays attention to what you ask for, is always quick with a smile and will greet you by name if she has cut your hair more than three times. I love counting the number of compliments I get and telling her to see her smile! I will follow her wherever she goes!

I’ve never had a bad experience here. Of course anywhere you go depends on the stylist — I’ve been to very expensive day spas where the stylist has done a terrible job. At this salon, I’ve been to Courtney and Blue, and both do amazing work. Courtney is a great colorist and is up-to-date on trends and new techniques(like ombré!). It’s always clean and friendly, and they do a great job of what I ask.
