FedEx Office Print & Ship Center

I had an awesome experience at this location! I needed to ship a framed painting from San Antonio to Illinois and went to a Fedex location off of I-​410. The girl there looked at my painting and told me it would be 80 dollars plus 18 to ship my 24X24 painting. I held off and decided to try a different location. I was weary about this location since it too has low ratings. I only used the packing and shipping aspect of Fedex, so I can only attest to that. Jose the assistant manager was amazing! He filled out all my information and begin packing my painting promptly. He was very thorough and clear about pricing, my total came out to be 50 dollars instead of 97 dollars. I had excellent service!

That’s about the extent of the good stuff.
I was totally caught off guard by the Dark Agesness of the pricing policy, especially in our digital era.
Why, when I’m charged only pennies to print a paper copy of a document (a process that uses ink and paper and various tangible products that actually have a cost associated with them) do I have to pay $ 2ish per page to scan something to my flash drive, or to fax (LOLz. .talk about Dark Ages :)) that page?

Shouldn’t the digital version be cheaper? Incentive to move toward paperless world and all?? Sigh.

Early morning stop to pick up an order and print some other files. Had some issues with the printer and Janice was AWESOME! She went above and beyond this morning, even being by herself with phones ringing and customers at the counter!
Thanks Janice, we will always use this location when we travel to San Antonio

The only plus side of this FedEx is its location.
There were only two copiers that were functional. The copier that I used kept jamming. Due to being short staffed, I had to wait 15 minutes before someone could help me.
Luckily I was refunded for all the jammed copies that I was charged for.

Everything is broken.
Only color printer available.
Not convenient when wanting to print black & white.

Why, oh why, did I not read the Unilocal reviews before attempting to send an important package via FedEx?!? Doh!
I should’ve known when the employee was having a hard time locating the shipping address and country. Uhh… Last time I checked, the country had been around a few hundred years, dude, so it should be easy to locate.
Long story short, my package won’t be delivered or returned, and FedEx won’t give me a refund for THEIR error. In addition, customer service says visit the store and the store says I have to call customer service?! What. The. Heck. Get it together!!!
Seriously, go to a company that won’t scam you. Save yourself the trouble.

I put in a package to be sent to Canada last Saturday from this branch in San Antonio. After filling out all the forms including a commercial invoice (required for ground shipments to Canada) with the employees there I left thinking I could depend on Fedex to take care of the rest. I got a call 3 days later telling me that they had lost the commercial invoice and that my package had never left San Antonio.
Because Fedex lost the invoice and delayed the shipment almost an entire week, and the recipient of the package had already left Toronto for Ottawa, I had to begin a long, painful process of redirecting my package.
I usually choose Fedex because of its reputation for efficiency but this time I really regret it.

I am only giving them 1 star because their computers worked really fast for me. I logged on to their computer, logged on to my personal Dropbox account, downloaded the forms I needed to print, formatted the page, and printed 5 copies all witching 4 minutes. Then I needed to purchase items from the counter. Mistake. Waited in line for 10 minutes with the items to purchase in hand, then decided that Kinkos prices are higher based on convenience, since this is now not convenient, in going to Walmart for Walmart prices. Boo Kinkos by IWU. Boo.

Staff was unhelpful and not particularly pleasant, printing machines extraordinarily slow. I will be avoiding going back at all costs.

I can’t express my disappointment with this location. I called this morning to find out the pick up time to get something shipped to College Station for my son’s birthday on Monday and was told by a young man it was 7:30 pm. When I arrived at 6:50 pm with my birthday package in hand I was told that the pick up was at 4:30 pm on Saturday and 7:30 pm during the week and that the guy forgot that it was Saturday today. Well — thanks FedEx for not allowing me to get my gift to my son on his birthday! The clerk, Alex, was NO HELP with the situation and told me to call the 800 customer service number and that the package would have to he there Tuesday. They don’t care at FedEx — one bit!!!

The staff was a little BLAH hbut my project got done quickly and I LOVED having the little workstations with scissors, tape, glue etc to make my project easy to accomplish.
The store also sells lots of cute gadgets!
I’ll be back!!!

Hit or Miss
I have grown to love fed ex and use them all over the country !
This location on some days will bend over backwards to help out a customer
Other days like today they make you feel stupid for even coming in. They play them selfs off as «can’t do that» and not allowed.
But 2 days earlier a associate with a better attitude helped me with the very same request!

it could be worse, you could work for the government.

This is a so-​so place for your copying needs — here’s why:
1. Copies/​Printing: I lost $ 5 by trying to print by flashdrive instead of computer. I was charged but my papers never went to any printer. I did not get a refund when I brought this up with a clerk, by the way.
2. Short-​Staffed: There were no employees available for the first 20 minutes I was there, so that’s difficult when one is rushing.
3. Location: the Fedex is kind of across from UIW off broadway, but it’s in a lot covered by trees, so I had a hard time hunting down a visual

I use this location for their self serve printing/​copying kiosks and online printing and pick-​up. So, if you like avoiding human interaction at all costs, then this is the place for you. Also, the workstations for scanning, faxing (who does that anymore?!), etc are convenient.
The only time I have to wait in line to speak with a human staff member is when the self-​serve kiosk is broken and won’t print my receipt, and then the experience becomes a little less pleasant. I often have to wait for 10+ minutes for someone to acknowledge me or ask me if I need help. Once you have their attention, it moves pretty quickly.
Beyond printing basic color copies, I feel pricing is outrageous here and would much rather support a local printing company then give FedEx $ 70+ for large poster prints.

The lady’s in there don’t know what there talking about when they give you information on shipping. Therefore I had to actually go to the FedEx shipping center not a Kinko’s

In the age of email and PDFs, you still need some stuff printed and shipped.
This location is convenient, off Broadway near Hildebrand. And that might be part of the problem. It’s right across from UIW and near AT&T. Thus it’s always crowded and busy doing projects. You can almost hear the 50s office productivity music in the background! Not the place to go if you’re in a rush.
They get the job done, but the wait time and service are just so slow! I don’t have any issues with the quality of their work and this is probably a scheduling/​management issue that could be fixed. So big E for effort, but doesn’t live up to the need for lightning fast service on demand.
