Very good food here, I personally love the Large Turkey on White. I’ve been coming here for the last 5 years as this is the first firehouse Sub in San Antonio and they never failed me! The place is always clean and the food is always good!

Today was my first time trying firehouse subs and will certainly not be the last! I ordered the meatball and my mom ordered«Momma’s chicken salad» we both could tell the difference and can say it was love at first bite! We both enjoyed the spices and veggies in addition also how we could easily tell how fresh our sandwiches were compared to other places! Parking at this location was not hard at all. The staff is super friendly and the dining area is clean. I really appreciate how the restaurant involves the community to aid local firemen and firewomen. Another awesome addition is their Coca Cola freestyle machine! The cups include flavor options for each soda and I really feel that this machine enables customers to be truly satisfied in their drink of choice. If you have a sweet tooth they even offer cookies and brownies. We split a brownie and it is so moist and yummy! Overall I really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back! Thanks firehouse subs!

Holy Smokes! This is some good eatin’ here folks. Me and my wife entered this store to be greeted by the whole staff. Everyone was very professional and gave us their individual recommendations when I asked for them. The restaurant was very very clean and the food was amazing. Both sandwiches we bought were perfect. I will be returning to this location in the near future.(Possibly even for dinner tonight!)

Everything good in life happens within these hallowed walls. It truly is the nectar and ambrosia of our small blue planet. When I die I want my ashes scattered in the parking lot.

I have been here multiple times and will for sure be back again. The food here rocks and the employees are always very nice. Also, they keep a super clean restaurant.

I love firehouse subs! This location is always friendly and helpful, and they have a great soda machine(I love rootbeer!). I love that they steam the meat so it is always warm and tasty — I usually order the hook and ladder light which is the perfect sized sandwich! I even have asked them to steam it extra to make sure its hot and they are very accommodating. My only complaint is the shredded iceberg lettuce they use, but no big deal, the sandwiches are still great.

Grabbed a hook and ladder to go. They placed a pickle within the wrapper lining and pickle juice soaked most of the sandwich making it a mess to eat. However for a soggy sandwich it was still really tasty!

Pretty disappointed for a 12.00 meatball combo. This was the first time I’ve ever received it only warm not hot. No plastic ware was included with the«hot» sandwich and looks like they are getting stingier with the cheese. Before it was covered in cheese and sauce and this time it was almost sauceless and you could see the clear circles of not quite melted cheese slices. Not worth the cost if the new owners are going to do it like that.

It was this place or some fried chicken. I opted for a healthier option. This was my first time at Firehouse Subs. I picked the turkey with green salsa. It was delicious and having a warm subs was a nice change from the Subway norm. I picked from the small menu and it was just enough to satisfy me. There are lots of options to pick from. I look forward to trying a different one next time.

When we heard«Pulled pork and slaw over Kings Hawaiian Bread» and«melted bbq brisket smoked for 16hrs with Sweet Baby Ray’s bbq sauce and melted cheddar“over the radio, we came right on over! We still love Jimmy John’s but this place had a forte of its own. It did not disappoint at all. And the Soda fountain is one of those freestyle digital kiosk of 120 flavor combinations. We will definitely be back! :)

This is my favorite sub place to go to during lunch. All of the employees are very friendly and patient in helping you pick the right sandwich for you. They have these random red buckets for sale in the back near the fountain drinks. I think I might buy one for no apparent reason at all. I love the selection of the different hot sauces, some of them(actually most of them) were pretty new to me, glad to have tried them out. They make hot sauces with ghost peppers in it, wow! Now if that doesn’t tickle your taste buds, idk what will. All of the meats and cheeses they use tasted/appeared to be of good quality, and the chips are pretty standard no matter where you go. It’s a bag of chips! Their cherry limeade was not all that great. When we went, someone who seemed like a franchise owner or management person was overseeing everything and he personally invited us to come back again, so everything ran very smoothly. We will definitely go back.

Ive been to Firehouses in 3 different states and one thing is for sure. They’re all the same. I think that’s a good thing. Subs are quality and the staff is okay. This location is in a good location and matches what’s expected from this franchise.

For the record, I love firehouse subs. I am giving this location a 1 star because of employee hand hygiene and food handling practices. Two of the three guys were eating behind the counter. One dude finished a whole meal, pickle and all. The other was eating chips and then making sandwiches. Terrible. I used to work in food service and I know that’s unacceptable behavior. I almost left and didn’t finish my sandwich but was tempted to stay there and continue to watch them be gross. Not once did they wash their hands! As far as the food is concerned, the thin chicken breast sandwich is a winner. I will find a location that is clean and practices food hygiene. Never returning to this location.

I’ve never been one to crave a sub, because quite frankly if I want a sandwich I can make a pretty damn good one at home. But when compared to other subpar sub shops(Lenny’s, Subway, etc.) Firehouse really hits the mark. My hot sandwich was just that, HOT, piping hot actually, even for a few minutes after it got to the table. I especially loved the pickle that accompanied the sub. I used a coupon and scored some free chips and a free drink. They have the Coca-Cola Freestyle soda dispenser, extra points there! The sub I tried was the smokehouse BBQ cheddar and my other half had the Firehouse hero, both done spectacularly and made with quality ingredients. The bread was the perfect amount of toasty and the cheese melted so picturesquely. I also liked how they had not one, not two, but about 20 different bottles of random hot sauces to use on your sub. My only complaint is they may want to consider cleaning the spouts off regularly since gunk tends to build up on them. Not a biggie, just one of the many details that restaurants sometimes tend to miss. Pricing was pretty reasonable, and you have the option to have half of the sandwich or the whole sandwich. The girl at the counter and the gentleman(he seemed like the owner) were very friendly and nice, and they encouraged us multiple times to come back again, which was very pleasant. We will be back soon and I want to put their«most delicious meatballs» claim to the test!

Hands down the best subs in town!!! The hook and ladder is my go to, but my partner loves the pulled pork. Trust me, this place is a cant miss!

Nope, texans don’t know how to make subs. Stick to BBQ and ranch style beans. Italian sub drug through the garden, nothing explosive about this place. Cool pictures on the wall though.

I’m not a huge fan of sandwich places, but Firehouse Subs is the best I’ve had anywhere. Unlike some chains that toast their sandwiches, Firehouse steams their subs to give them a unique texture. I know that sounds a little weird, but the result really is delicious. I’ve tried most of the sandwiches on the menu and I’ve been very impressed with all of them. My favorites are the New York Steamer(corned beef, pastrami & provolone) and the Cheddar Brisket. My wife likes the Turkey Bacon Ranch, which is also an excellent sandwich. They offer a choice of white or wheat bread, both of which are very good. Firehouse Subs features the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, which enables you to mix a custom soft drink. There’s also a ridiculous selection of hot sauces on the counter if you’re into that. Firehouse Subs puts the«no way» in Quiz-no and Sub-way. Check it out!

I found this place when I moved here and I had no kitchen I could use to make food. The subs are great and the staff is friendly, so what else can you ask for? The portion size is nice and most of the time I had to take half of it home as I couldn’t finish it all.

EXCELLENT. First time Blown away. Nothing more to say other than. Smoking hot sliced meats, Soft and warm bread. Great tasting sauce. Flawless service, Clean Restaurant, and I had great company that day. I would open a franchise if I had the funds…

I am *REALLY* on the fence about this one in regards to the star rating but only because of customer service. Don’t get me wrong: the food is great. I’m absolutely in love with the brisket and cheddar sub while the kiddos always order the NY Steamer(not to be confused with a Cleveland Steamer, God willing) Anyhooters, my issue is that these guys have no personality whatsoever… none in person and none on the phone. I mean, I was ordering when a whole wave of folks walked in about a minute before I was about to be done and the cashier sees this and says under his breath, «Ugggghhhhh… really???» Uh, yeah. Not a good sign, my friend. :(\_(\ *:(=’ :’) :* *.(,(«)(»)°.*‘”
