The first time I tried Guilty Pleasures, Stephen C. shared his order with me. The shrimp in prosciutto — outstanding! I really enjoyed the lemon sauce which complemented the flavor… really rounded it out without killing the shrimp or the prosciutto. The mac & cheese was so good too. Warm and cheesy — just the way I like it!

Very cool atmosphere. Food was average. But there was lots to choose from. Some trucks opened later which I’d like to try. Get there early. Parking is hard to come by.

Making the rounds at BOB, I settled on having Guilty Pleasures’ Panini of the Day which was a Cubano. Admittedly, I’ve had a few Cubano’s while I was in Puerto Rico so my expectations were pretty high but this panini was relatively authentic and delish. My only gripe is that the sandwich had more ham than roasted pork and I think roasted pork should be the star of the sandwich, not the supporting actor. The Cubano also came with fries which made it a good value at $ 7. I saw the words«chocolate» and«bacon» on their menu but I was way too stuffed to try it out. Next time.

Triple Chocolate Bourbon Bacon Brownie(5⁄5 NOMs). Totally love bacon brownie!!! I just have to order everything and anything bacon. It was grey, but could use more bacon. Like bake it into the brownie itself. Still, great order. You won’t feel guilty at all!

I just had the gourmet Mac and cheese. Not impressed, not at all. I say it was very under salted, but my friend went as far as to say«Eh. I like the box mix better». I wouldn’t go that far… But, I myself could make a much tastier gourmet Mac n cheese. I will give it a 2 for now, because the other selections sounded pretty amazing, so this review will be pending… Subject to change hopefully… because I don’t like giving 2’s…

I hope this review doesn’t inspire the owners to jack up the prices but here goes: I paid $ 12 for the Blackened-Shrimp wrapped in prosciutto served on a bed of rice pilaf and beurre blanc sauce. The flavors could easily justify paying $ 30 for the dish. I’m not kidding The service was great and the trailer food eatery is parked amidst a trailer park eatery that will complicate your decision-making efforts with trying to figure out what it is you want to eat. Be sure to take cash!

I’ve been to BoB quite often lately and I’ve never ever tried Guilty Pleasures. They’re right next door to my favorite truck(Society Bakery) so I was eyeing up their menu from afar. The one thing that caught my attention was the 6 large blackened shrimp wrapped in prosciutto on rice for $ 12. Now, I am definitely one that watches my pennies and I really wasn’t sure how this was going to go down. I figured, I had nothing to lose(except $ 12) so I gave them a try. Firstly, I was already attracted to the truck because I saw they had dogs, CUTE! They are dog lovers, I am a dog lover. we already have something in common. Secondly, I saw that they had a Pittsburgh Steelers blanket, another thing we had in common, we are both Steelers fans. I went up to the truck to order my food and was greeted by a man and a woman(I am assuming they’re married, but I’m not sure obviously so I shouldn’t assume) and they were as friendly as ever! I ordered my shrimp dish and the woman told me it’d be 8 minutes so I patiently waited. Then they gave me the dish, mmmmmmm. it looked so good. Plus they aren’t fooling you when they say 6 «LARGE» blackened shrimp, they were the biggest shrimp I’ve ever seen in my life. And I can’t even get started on how delicious they were. they were perfectly cooked, seasoned and the sauce that was on them was just amazing. My dad even went as far to say that they were the best shrimp he’d ever had in his 63 years of life, I’m not sure if he was overexaggerating, but either way they were SOOOOO good. Guilty Pleasures is definitely one of my favorites now at BoB, I’m so glad that I tried it and loved it. I will definitely become a regular at this place.

I have never had a bad experience from Guilty Pleasures. I love their food, but they’re in a park where I love all the food, so I probably don’t eat there as often as I should. THe make the very best french fries in the city! Fried in Beef Tallow they are thin, crispy and delicious! The Clam Chowder is the very best clam chowder I have ever had and when it’s on the menu, you shouldn’t leave without some. The blackened shrimp over rice is perfectly executed. Give them a try next time you’re out and about. They are really nice and have the cutest puppies on the back on the truck :)

Visit #2: I got the shrimp wrapped in prosciutto, served on a bed of rice pilaf and covered in a rich lemon based sauce. OMG, my taste buds were doing back flips my whole way home. 6 large shrimp too. Such a friendly truck that takes pride in their product. Definitely a pleasure but i never feel guilty. I stopped by BoB for lunch Sunday. When I visit BoB I like to graze, get a little bit from several trucks. Today I decided to make Guilty Pleasures one of my stops. I am sure am glad that I did. I opted for the New England Clam Chowder. It was heaven in a bowl. Nice and thick, big chunks of potatoes, fresh herds through out, a bit of bacon and tons of clams in every delicious bite. Then toss on a hand full of oyster crackers for that contrasting crunch. All I can say is WOW! I so look forward to trying some of the other things this truck produces. Mark me down as a fan.

Been wanting to check this place out for a while at the Boardwalk on Bulverde. We actually got here when all of the trucks were closed. Emery was nice enough to give us a rundown of what to expect here at BoB and also turned the burners back on to cook up some food for us. The pulled pork with the coleslaw was amazing and the shoestring fries were delicious. He actually cooks the fries in a beef mixture grease that gives it an amazing flavor. The 4 cheese macaroni with bacon was nothing like I’ve ever tasted before and it hit the spot. For dessert the chocolate brownie with chocolate ice cream topped with fresh raspberries and raspberry sauce was awesome. Even though i didn’t get the full experience of the food trucks, I’m glad I was able to talk with Emery and try some of his delicious food. Definitely going back to try some of his other gourmet dishes.
