H-E-B

I am new to this location and I love it so far. The staff is warm and welcoming. They seem to always have someone giving out free samples as soon as you enter it also doubles as having someone greeting you I would say. This store is huge in my opinion for a grocery store. Lots of selection and one key thing to me is that they always have more than enough registers open. Store is kept tidy and I always see workers stocking selves.

I’ve been here a hand full of times since it opened. This HEB needs a major update. It’s very outdated and plain, it hasn’t changed one bit. It looks like a grocery store that is stuck in the 80s on in the inside. They don’t have a very large selection, and they’re always out of things I like. On the plus side, the employees are friendly and helpful.

Not that great, limited selection of items by the same company that hosts Central Market in Austin. This store pretty much shows what H-​E-​B thinks of the locals in that they are a bunch of broke hicks, etc. HEB rules too much of our food chain in Texas. They are like the local version of the evil Walmart empire.
Anyone know why this location has blue stripes and why everything on this street has a blue hue? No one was able to tell us. Thanks.

This HEB is a bit on the small side, but that’s actually okay by me. I enjoy being able to get in and get out quickly.
However on my recent visit to this location I was a little taken aback by the lack of cleanliness in this store. Now to be fair I was here earlier afternoon. I’m hoping it was maybe between shifts or they were about to begin cleaning bc there was a mop bucket by the door and in another spot there was a push broom propped against a wall in front of a pile of dust. Maybe the job was only half done but as a customer it’s a turnoff to have dirty mop water and a pile of dirt near produce I’m in need of purchasing.
I don’t mean to nit-​pick. To shed some light on positives, the customer service was very friendly. I was in need of a specific spice for a dessert I was cooking and when I couldn’t find it, I asked for help and was led immediately to what I needed.
But, while I did purchase that spice and a couple other items that weren’t produce, I actually left and went to a different location to get the fruit I needed bc I just couldn’t get over the dirty produce section.
I will definitely come back and try again and I hope next time I get to report that this time was a fluke.
