Hampton Inn

Asked for the manager to call me after my stay. I never heard from him and I’m a Hilton Honors Diamond Elite member. The room was dirty, especially the bathroom.

Service was poor during the day. Night was a little better. The customer office area is a shelf rather then an office and it’s in the lobby. And if you want to print you can’t from word have to save as a PDF then print then delete your file (there’s a lot of files on there people forgot to delete). The elevators need a coat of paint from people scratching into the door. Overall not impressed. The worst Hampton I’ve been to. And to make matters worse the humidity in my room was horrendous. I will not be back.

It is not worth the money. The water pressure is very poor, and the service is a little lacking. The only plus is that the waffles are good. We won’t be staying at the Hampton Inn again.

Great service and very clean rooms. I liked the modern design in the lobby and breakfast bar area. That was pretty welcoming. The location is great for good choices for shopping and dining. The only drawback is all of the construction going on around the area.

While it hasn’t undergone sweeping renovations since it opened, I have to disagree that this Hampton is «outdated». It is, hands down, the nicest one I’ve ever visited. It was always my choice when I was a tourist; and now that I live here, I consistently put my guests up here.
The staff is the friendliest and most accommodating anywhere. The breakfast buffet is above-​average, and the tables overlook a small but pretty garden.
The internet issue mentioned by the previous reviewer must be fairly new, because I always had internet access when I needed it (though I confess that wasn’t often).
The one major disadvantage of this hotel is that tourists will have to drive some distance to visit the River Walk, the Alamo, Sea World, etc. And the pool –while sparkling — is really dinky.
I don’t know what other amenities it does or doesn’t have, because I was always just looking for a nice, affordable, comfortable place to rest my head… and this location DELIVERS.

Poor by Hampton standards. Outdated and no workable Internet. Nice staff and lower price bump it up from 2*.
