Went to Haverty’s on a whim and boy are we happy! Tom Murrieta took amazing care of us without any sales pressure, stalking or even the snobbery we’ve gotten from other stores in town. We were serious cash buyers but in no rush. We wanted to make sure we got exactly what we really wanted. Period. When we arrived, Tom politely welcomed us and asked what we were looking for. It was quickly apparent that we had finally found a designer, not just a sales person. He patiently looked at photo after photo of our style and helped us find the perfect fit for our new downtown space. My husband and I were at odds over a sectional. Should it be L-shaped or with a chaise? Tom found us the perfect compromise! He is seriously well versed in everything style, fabric, construction and what works vs what doesn’t. He offered us his expertise without losing sight of our preferences and end-state vision even once! Unlike every other furniture store we’ve visited over the past several weeks(10 plus) we actually had a great time shopping at Haverty’s because of Tom. We will need a few more pieces and for sure we will be heading back to Haverty’s and Tom. I’ll post picks once we’ve finished. I’m not going to comment much on the pricing, although we were very pleased with our deal. We think they have price points that’ll fit most situations with excellent quality. But when it comes to things like furniture, it’s so subjective, you really can’t say in all honesty what’s expensive and what isn’t. We could either afford it or not, just like everybody else. Do what we did, have a budget and check this place out. They’ll probably be able to work with you on financing or even moreso if you’re a cash client. Remember to ask for Tom Murrieta. You won’t be sorry.

Beautiful showroom!!! My husband and I were given a gift card for Haverty’s. We were help by Rosie. She really helped us get the most bang for our buck. Can’t wait to enjoy our new living room. Thanks, Rosie!

I bought several pieces from Havertys less than a year ago. One of the pieces is falling apart. I called the warranty people, they had a technician come out to fix it — he said he couldn’t believe how poorly the piece had been put together at the factory… He worked on the piece that day and said it should be good to go. The slumping on the couch has gotten worse. I called again… they sent the same technician out. At first, the technician said he had been outside of my home for 20 minutes waiting for me and I never answered the door… um… no… I have two very large nosy dogs who go apes@!t whenever anyone comes close to the front door… So no, you were not at my house. I went back and forth with the girl on the phone and complained enough that the technician agreed to head back to my house. When he got there he said, «oh I guess I was at the wrong house…» Alright, whatever — so now he is there — looking at the couch… can you fix it? He says it would take basically breaking it all down and rebuilding it because the framing is bent. He takes one picture of the couch, is at my house for less than 5 minutes and says he will put in for a replacement piece and that I should hear back within 24 to 48 hours. Of course I don’t hear back within that time frame so I call them. I am told that according to the technician I told him not to fix the couch when he was there… WWHHAATTT!!! Why would I call you for service on the thing if I didn’t want it fixed? So now I’m waiting to hear back from someone to tell me what they will decide to do with the couch. Side note — when I was fresh out of college about 10 years ago I bought two couches from Ashley Furniture… my mom tried to talk me out of it and said I should go with a company like Havertys for the quality… Shockingly enough… the 10 year old Ashley couches look great — the couch from Havertys that is less than ONEYEAR old looks awful. I purchased a head board and nightstand to complete my bedroom collection that I had previously purchased from Haverty’s. The delivery fee was rather high, so a week later I picked both items up in the store. Got home, unpacked the extremely heavy boxes, to find the headboard had a huge dent. I called my salesperson, Barbara, and she said to return the head board and she would put in an order for a replacement that was to be delivered the following Saturday. Waited until 4:45 and they never showed as scheduled. Called Barbara and she gave a run-around about it not making it on the delivery truck. Much to my dismay, I offered to pick it up, again, myself to just get it done. Barbara then started back-tracking and had to come clean with her blatant lie that it hadn’t even been shipped to the store! She then tells us it will be there the following Tuesday. Picked up the new headboard, again, myself, and made it home for my wife to mention the box had the same tear the previous one did. Sure enough, they sent us home with the same damaged head board and just put new tape over the old tape! Brought it back the same day and talked to customer service and come to find out, Barbara NEVER placed the new order. I guess she thought we would be dumb enough to not notice. Was able to talk to the manager and he worked with us enough for this review to be a lot nicer than it should be. We understand damaged furniture can happen, but there is no excuse for poor customer service and lying from a salesperson that evidently doesn’t think loading and unloading a heavy piece of wood isn’t too inconveniencing. Or maybe we didn’t spend enough for her to care.

I had a great experience here. After a disastrous experience with one of their local competitors, I went to the store and purchased a sofa, love seat, one chair and three poufs. I had always thought that Haverty’s would be out of my price range but it turned out to be competitive with other stores in the area. The sales staff were friendly and professional and worked to find items that were in stock available for delivery. Delivery men were great; and they provide you with online status updates as to the whereabouts of your truck with a photo of the driver. BTW apparently it is possible to carry an 84 inch sofa with one arm on your shoulder. Will await and see what the quality of the furniture turns out to be but so far, so good.

Hmm, you know shopping for furniture is supposed to be fun and exciting. Haverty’s was like going to my grandparents house. The layout was HUGE but was all flat and sort of colorless. Nothing was exciting me or popped out except for one table that was REALLY cool. It still wasn’t what I was looking for. Moving on to the next one!

This was a very positive experience and I highly recommend this store. Gabriella helped us find bedroom and dining room furniture and was very helpful, informative and very«not pushy». They delivered it in 2 days and were on time and very professional. We’ll be back to buy more from this store.
