Heying Orthodontics

Dr. Heying and his office staff are awesome. He received praise from my general dentist for being very experienced with adult orthodontia and difficult cases.
I just got my braces put on with him a few months ago. During the initial exam, Dr. Heying has a truly consultative approach. He goes through all your orthodontia options, pros and cons for each, he discusses any problems he might run into during treatment. All while you view your pictures of your mouth on a large screen TV, so he points out exactly what he’s seeing. You can sit with him for as long as you need to discuss… he never seems rushed to get to the next patient.
Above all, he keeps your orthodontic goals in mind, when he comes up with your treatment plan. In my case, he called me back the day after my consult, and let me know that he considered extractions necessary to correct my overbite the way I want. OR not do extractions, and correct it partially. I really appreciate that he empowered me to make the decisions on treatment.
His office is lovely, and there’s plenty of parking. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to my weird work schedule. They have online patient portal, if you want to view appts, prior history, etc. And, they also send automatic email reminders a few days before your next appt, which I appreciate. On a side note, if you get cold easily, like me, bring a jacket… they keep it a little chilly in the office :)
