The sushi was delicious! Fresh and the flavors blended together wonderfully. We also got the teppanyaki/hibachi. It was done very fast. We didn’t even get through our two rolls. It was pretty good. Not my favorite but we use to go to teppanyaki like once a week in California. It doesnt compare. But compared to the others around here its one of thr better ones. The waitress was nice and gave us everything we needed.

Excellent presentation and quality of ingredients. Monday & Wednesday night they have a special 2 rolls for $ 14. I choose the Caterpillar roll & the Eagle roll. The Caterpillar was flawless and delicious. The Eagle was very tasty but I could taste the eel sauce a little too much. Less would have been perfect. Please give them a try. I will certainly be back.

Don’t come here if you want Japanese Beer at a Japanese restaurant. Just sat down and tried to order every Japanese Beer on the menu and they’re out of all of it. Can’t understand a word my waiter is saying. Don’t typically do reviews, but I have been spoiled with my hibachi and so far this ranks towards the bottom of hibachi places I’ve tried.

The restaurant is looking worn out and is in dire need of an upgrade. And the parking lot needs more light considering it’s literally just off the highway. The food, which is important with these places was a disappointment. I mean by now, i consider myself an hibachi connoisseur. We sat at the Hibachi, and even after the table was full and all orders were in, it took about 40 minutes for the chef to come out and start the cooking. We didn’t even get our sushi appetizers during the wait, they came right when the chef was firing up the cooker. And it wasn’t packed at all as we were the only table there that night. The fried rice was ok, the steak and shrimp were nothing special, the chicken was terribly undercooked and and underflavored and was just doused in a ton of teriyaki to mask the under the taste. I didn’t even know undercooking a chicken was a possible feat. Lastly we saw two bugs, one just strolling on our plate as the appetizer was brought to us, and another huge roach just casually strolling a couple feet from me. Now I’m not even squirmish when it comes to insects and bugs, but it was just all too much to take in, in such a small amount of time of being in there.

We waited for about 40 minutes after our order for our soups. We didn’t even get our sushi until after soup. The people were very nice, however the chicken was rubbery and had a strange taste. Nothing great about this place… besides the kind people… sorry

Alright, the food wasn’t bad. But we placed an order to-go and my girlfriend paid with her card… I was unaware. So I went to pick it up. They made me pay again… Which was not«again» at the time for me, because I was unaware… But then my gf yelled at me and said«you’re welcome» in that typical gf way of saying I’m a piece of shit dick and I’m not getting laid tonight… I said for what? She said paying for dinner we both pulled up our bank accounts and both had 32.91 taken out from Kobe steak house… Then I try to call these fuckin pussies cordially to fix the mistake and they hang up and then the phone goes to busy… Y’all think I won’t drive up there I fucking will.

We came for an early dinner, around 4ish. If you’ve ever had teppanyaki then you expect to wait a little bit for others to arrive and share your table. So we waited about 20 mins, which was fine. We had appetizers and the service was great. The food, show and staff were awesome and we left full and happy! We were so pleased with the cook, server and bussers that we left a 40% tip to show. We will definitely be coming back, my kiddos loved it!

Outstanding sushi, great service, and lots of fun. Was just expecting to get a quick bite. The outward appearance wasn’t easy on the eye, but the experience was on point despite the aesthetics.

Service is abysmal waited 30 minutes plus just to order after making what is apparently a useless reservation. Not offering an appetizer or anything while we had to wait, another group finally showed up then we had to wait for them to chat 15 min before being ready to order and still no offer to take our order in case we actually wanted to eat something After complaining all I got was attitude and ate my meal angry the rest of the night. The food is OK not the best I’ve had by far. They kill the poor fillet with sauce that ruins the flavor of the meat. Everything else is decent. Overall the service will have me looking for a new place to eat when I want teppanyaki

I’ve never eaten here because I walked in and no one ever came to seat us. Waiters just stared blankly. I don’t know if it crossed their minds that we wanted to pay to eat. The food could be good. Who knows.

I mean yes they squirt about a liter of oil and slap on about a tub of margarine on the fried rice & meat but I mean that’s what makes it sooo good(until your hurting later) lol. I wish they could make the food all at once, but I guess they have a system in place. rice, meat and then lastly the veggies. most people will be eating veggies alone that’s what happens when you’re hungry and impatient. Quality wise the food is a solid 4, the sticky rice is legit, filet and chicken down to the shrimp was delish. Veggies nice and al dente. The ginger sauce for the salad is tasty, salad was fresh though I prefer greenier greens instead of iceberg. Onion soup was a bit salty but was still flavorful. I was a little hesitant because of the star status but I was pleasantly surprised with the service and dinner. Springs rolls weren’t too shabby either :-)

2nd time at this place but first for sushi. let me say that they are delicious and you are not overwhelmed by the simple menu but great selection. The price was very very fair. For Friday night dinner time we were seated and served in no time

BEWARE! Do not leave valuables in your car! The prices and quality of food are okay but the cost of repairing damage and replacing valuables makes this place way too expensive. The cops said the parking lot is notorious for break ins. There were 4 cars with smashed windows last Friday, including my in-laws who were from out of town. The surveillance cameras they have are no good and provided no useful info the police could use and the parking lot is way too dark. If they added lights in the parking lot and got some good cameras it would probably eventually allow police to catch these guys and deter future thieves. This place would be a good value compared to other Japanese Steakhouses in San Antonio and I would give them 3.5 stars if it wasn’t for the lack of effort to do something about the parking lot.

WARNING: PARKINGLOTHASSECURITYPROBLEMS. After dinner we found one of the vehicles in our party was broken into. The Castle Hills Police came found three other cars in the parking lot that also had had broken windows. The officer mentioned that this is not uncommon in the parking lot after we noticed there was a lot of glass from broken windows on the ground. One of the vandalized vehicles was parked in front of the restaurant. Kobe restaurant needs to step up and have a security guard. Adding a $ 500 deductible to a $ 175 meal sucked.

They don’t have liquor in the restaurant… We didn’t stay for the food So I’m not judging on the food or service. Just giving a warning to those who don’t know.

I was in San Antonio for business. We tried to find Hibachi and with little luck found this listing on Unilocal.Compared to Facebook, Unilocal seemed to be a bit harsher on the place. My favorite part is the chef, they’re always entertaining, but to be honest, the guy at the grill next to ours may have been using his table as a psychoanalysis session. In terms of food, I wasn’t impressed. It’s hibachi, but nothing stand outish. In fact, we all commented the food had too much sugar, salt and pepper. I guess that’s pretty subjective because each cook puts his own amount in, but the food was overly«flavorful.» I had steak & scallops, and they were both delicious. I wish I had gotten the Filet Mignon instead as the cut of meat looked far better when it came out. The green tea was meh, the ice cream blah. We didn’t get a salad or soup(which the menu says we were supposed to get) but I was so stuffed it wouldn’t have mattered. I hear they have great miso soup, hopefully when/if we come back we can try that out.

OMG this place was great! The cook was funny and our meal was great!!! We ordered the combo yakisoba, chicken yakisoba, beef teriyaki, tempura shrimp and calamari, and spring rolls. Everything was great, delicious, and hot! You will not be disappointed by the food.

3⁄5 *PARKING — Lots of parking, they do not have that much customers when we came in. *PRICE — Too expensive for the value you get. The only redeeming quality I remembered on my visit is their top steak and entertaining hibachi chef. *STAFF — Average service, the hibachi chef is definitely one of the employees that probably keeping the place not to be that boring and making it a worthwhile visit. *FOOD — Tried their miso soup which tasted very salty. Aside from the hibachi chef, the steak is also one of the factors that keeping the place alive, I think.

Delicious! Coming in from another state with a Japanese steakhouse we regularly visit, this one is very comparable. The chicken Was cooked perfectly! All my children enjoyed the rice.
