Lazy service, floor was dirty, table was dirty, salad bar for the sauces was filthy, sauces were empty or half full, l ordered a coke and she brought a bottle of coke without a cup. Asked for more chips and they did not come, asked to watch the NBA finals and she wined because she wanted to watch the Simpsons… And it was not like they were over worked, we were the only customer.

I ordered carnitas fries and Horchata. The Horchata was real good. The carnitas was super tasty and came with cheese and guacamole which were both good. The fries were ok, could have been more crispy.

Really good breakfast burritos. They were huge and enough for two! The staff was friendly and they offered a wide variety of salsa at the self service bar. It was a nice stop!

Not a bad place… Food is great, salsa bar is great, grilled onions and jalapeños are off the chain!!! Soft tripa tacos are great!

Their food is good, pretty decent. What I do enjoy is their nachos and French fries they have. They have large nachos and also steak fries with a Mexican cuisine twist. I also enjoy their tacos, the carne al pastor tacos are not as good as compared to other restaurants but overall it is a decent place. The restaurant is fairly small and simple.

Good food and the best thing is that it’s open 24 hours so it’s great for breakfast tacos or as a meal after a night out!

Mexi-Cali done well. I love the California burrito(add avocado), asada fries, mini street tacos and enchiladas. I was even convinced to try the tripa taco and it wasn’t awful! All locations are open 24⁄7! The service kind of sucks but the food makes up for it.

Some of the people working the cash register speak zero English, so anything other than ordering impossible. Food is ok, but the last two times it has given me bad stomach aches.

This place is a mess, so disorganized waited almost 25 min for 4 potato and egg tacos. No it was not busy. But it is open 24 hours.

Not bad, we’ve had breakfast & lunch here and the breakfast is pretty good. We ordered bacon, egg & cheese tacos that were pretty good. Home made tortillas with generous servings of bacon inside. Open 24 hours, perfect for that late night craving. Will visit again

My husband and I happened to find this place by accident and decided to give it a try since we were craving some good mexican food. We walked in and it’s a pretty clean restaurant. The smell of pine sol or whatever they used was strong enough to knock you out the door… lol. I ordered their beef fajita plate and my husband ordered huevos rancheros to go. The food was still pretty hot by the time we got home, but we were slightly disappointed with the lack of flavor in our food. I like my fajitas in strips, not in almost shredded pieces swimming in grease. It lacked in flavor and didn’t give off that fajita smell you usually get at most restaurants. The beans were really thick and lacked salt. The rice was ok. My husband likes his huevos rancheros, but his bacon was extremely overcooked and pretty much inedible. I think this place has potential, but next time I’ll try their tacos. Wasn’t too happy with my fajitas.

This was my go-to for a California Mexican food fix. Ordered a chile relleno, it was hard and over cooked. Told the waitress that it was not edible. She never relayed the message to the cooks. No problem I thought. As I went to pay, I told her not to charge me for the relleno, I would pay for what I ate. She still charged me for the combo plate, didn’t know how to ring up separate(?). Told her again I did not eat it and showed her the plate. Had her feel how hard it was. Then she brought it to the cook. After arguing in Spanish with her, I could see he was not about to apologize, so we said we will no longer come back. Too bad.

The food is good but it can be so much better. I have been here so many times but it’s a hit or miss. Either my quesadilla’s are swimming in a pool of grease or my bean tacos have the beans outside the tortilla between the foil. They dont take pride in their food.

I’m gonna say this place is good. I can agree with the consensus that they could fix their streamlining process. No hostess. No organization. However, their food is pretty legit. The tortillas are real and fresh real ingredients inside their tacos burritos etc. The beans were authentic and their potatos were fresh cut. I would say with a little help in their dining room, this place could be even better. I still would come back for the food :-)

Came in on a weekday night. Apparently they’re open 24 hrs which is great. Had three different tacos and all were very good. One critique would be that on my first visit it was unclear if I was supposed to sit first or go to the counter to order. Obviously a very small issue and the tacos were outstanding so it still deserves five stars.

Who doesn’t like greasy, messy, fattening California style Mexican food at 4am? If this isn’t your style and you only enjoy the boojeeist of restaurants, then please stay away. Los Roberto’s Taco shop reminds me of the many many many Mexican food restaurants in California where you can eat massive amounts of food and great enchillada/taco combo’s for a very reasonable price. Don’t expect fancy, but definitely expect a clean restaurant with some extremely greasy messy Mexican food.

Some of the best tacos for a cheap price in San Antonio! They stuff the ever loving bejesus out of the tacos. The asada tacos are huge and come with guacamole and pico de gallo all for $ 2.50! You can try to get that at taco cabana but only receive a this of the beef with nothing on it. I think most of the negative reviews are from the service. People complain about having to bring the check over to the cashier to pay, how pathetic. It’s not meant to be an upscale service restaurant; this place has good food for a cheap price, simple.
I have live in San Antonio all my life and I’m 49 years old. Their bacon and egg breakfast tacos are by far some of the best I’ve ever had. I wish I could find bacon like that at the store at any price, but I can’t. It’s thick and lean, and they put a ton in each taco. The fresh hot sauces available are amazing. If you like hot sauce, this is your place. I guarantee you’ve never had these particular styles before. I would put Roberto’s up against any of the thousands of places you can get breakfast tacos in San Antonio. They Rock! The people working there are very nice, although I mainly get the tacos to go. I always tip them on the go orders, and even after a tip the place is not expensive. I don’t normally post reviews on Unilocal, but I had to because this place is freaking awesome.

I think the food here is pretty good. It’s not Tex\Mex like a lot of people are used to, but they’ve half way adopted some of the flavors San Antonian’s would love. The tortillas would be better if they made them from scratch, but they’re open 24⁄7 which would make that very difficult. All that said, the food is pretty good. I always get the number 11, which is one cheese enchilada and one chili relleno with rice beans and crema. Both the enchilada and relleno are great! I really like the rice and beans. I love that I can literally get it whenever I want it. I’ve also tried the California Burrito, I liked it as well. The nachos loon great! This is a great spot to eat good fast cheap Mexican Food, no frills just straight up beans and rice goodness! Just remember that the staff makes 2.13 an hour and they share tips so please be generous and somewhat understanding of their situation. I’ll be happy to keep coming here in the early mornings or after late nights! And you should come try it out. Order a plate or burrito or torta. No from scratch tortillas make for a less than satisfactory breakfast taco experience, so just know that going in and you should be fine.
