Mink Ultra Club

Two murders here since June 21, 2011. I’d say that alone should send you elsewhere, unless your the murdering or deathwish type.

Club Mink Ultra let me tell you about this one, so we decided we wanted to go Dancing and have some Drinks, Thursdays was supposed to be a «Poppin Night» at this Place. We show up only about 50 People were there, it was a Slow Thursday. DJ was Good, Drinks were strong, Parking was not all that Great, it was located in a Shopping Center. Overall 3 Stars, I will return the Club is Really Classy and Elegant !!

I rated this 1 star due to the fact that every time I go there I get ripped off!
The advertisement online and in their bathroom says that their drink specials on Sundays are «$ 3 YOU CALL IT.» So how is does ordering 4 drinks equal $ 28?
So I spoke with one of the Managers and he told me «It’s not actually $ 3 YOU CALL IT, its $ 4 You Call it.» But wait there is another catch; it’s not «$ 4 You Call It» it’s $ 4 Wells, but wait there is another catch; they are out of Wells, so now everything is $ 7! WTF how is Y-​Vodka & Grey Goose a $ 7 Liquor?
Personally I will never return to a establishment that says if you order a well vodka, «we tell our bartenders to pour Grey Goose.» Now I understand up-​selling but do not assume I prefer that liquor.
Horrible customer service from beginning to end, this establishment will never get another dime from me and I will be sure to spread the word to other people as well.

Great place, good house/​hip hop/​techno music…1 negative thing though — Don’t ever leave anything there! the phone # that’s on this and other sites will not get answered! If you leave something there like a military I.D. that you gave them when you were closing your tab and they kept (cough cough), then be prepared to not have it for at least 2 days and maybe even up to a week!!!

Mink is just okay. It’s an aesthetically pleasing up-​scale «lounge» but the crowd is always kinda off and there’s no defined dance-​floor. Just a lighted runway in the center of the room that normal people don’t really want to dance on but the weird old guy or super drunk girl jumps on in a heartbeat… not really diggin that. So everyone else just kinda dances on the ground around the runway thingy and contemplates getting up there with their friends but you have to be in a single-​file line and can’t really dance together… hmmm…not ideal for a girls’ night or any night you want to go dancing. It sucks because the music is normally pretty good (hip-​hop, dance) but you feel weird dancing on the ground. Mixed emotions about this one. They always charge a cover too (which people in San Antonio don’t care for) but it’s not even really good enough for a cover… eh…I’d go if my friends drug me but I won’t make a special trip…

We went here last weekend for a birthday party. We had a table reserved with a few bottles. The waiter was super nice and got us whatever we needed. The music was also pretty good with a good mix of pop, techno, and rap. However, it was just way to hot under the lights where our table was and on parts of the dance floor. I think they need to crank up the A/​C before the place gets packed. It wasn’t much fun dancing while sweating and getting other people’s sweat on you.

Mink is that friend you have that is not much to look at from the outside, but has a heart of gold. Stuck in the strip center with Souper Salad and some terrible chinese place is one of the best clubs in town. Not your typical SA club either. Very upscale! No thugs or sneakers aloud…

Got Invited to go down to San Antonio for 4^th of July weekend…
I knew it was going to be a party weekend. I wasn’t prepared for the amount of FUN that was in stored for me.
Got there early Thursday evening. My friend took us to MINK ultra club
it was college night I believe. the place was really happening. the music was off the hook. so many good looking, nicely dressed people.
The Staff was really attentive. the drinks were awesome…
We ended up there again on Saturday night. they close at 3am.
Absolutely one of the best clubs I’ve been to, cant wait to go back and Party in SAN ANTONIO!
