I ordered from here for delivery and the food was amazing. It was still hot when it got here. The price was really reasonable. I highly recommend this place to eat.

Definitely a hidden gem in San Antonio! Staff members are quick, courteous, and cheerful. I’ve both dined in and ordered food for pick up and haven’t been disapointed. We usually go for the breakfast tacos! I think they are extending their hours a bit which is great!

Large delivery order. Torta burrito taco plate and salad. Everything really good except for the taco salad’s taco shell.

They were out of hot chocolate, so we ended up getting iced tea, which wasn’t so bad. After I got my «Mexican Enchiladas»(which are corn tortillas with chopped potatoes and fake cheese covered in a disgusting burned-tasting sauce) I called the store and they told me about the potatoes which I apparently overlooked, and I asked if it’s supposed to have this heavy bitter-tasting sauce, she said, «well it looks just like the picture.» Yeah there’s no picture of this dish in here, so I took one for them. A restaurant should make sure their guests are satisfied and offer them something else instead of trying to weasel out of any responsibility.

I’ve been here quite a few times for both breakfast and lunch and have never had anything I don’t like. I always take my food to-go and they are quick. Everything is made fresh and homemade. I love their breakfast tacos. Their tacos shells are thick and made in house. Prices are very reasonable. They have daily BF or lunch special for 4.99 as well. I had their gordita plate for lunch today, wow! Fantastic!

I have been to this place a number of times and they always are on top of their game. Tucked in a strip center at the corner of Babcock and Callaghan, Mision de San Antonio is cranking out some outta the park tacos. From daily specials and early morning pricing on tacos, to made in house soy and plenty of vegetarian offerings, Mision de San Antonio makes me so happy they’re so close to me. Their soyrizo is perfectly spiced and is so good in their tacos with some potatoes. They offer hand cones as well, tho I’ve never tried them. Service has always been wonderful as well. Fast and friendly service(tho it helps to brush up on your Spanish before going, lord knows I need to), they make sure all of your needs are met and that your water never is empty. Once you’ve finished just go up to the counter to pay($ 3 minimum on credit card orders) and you’re out the door and ready to keep your day moving along. Note that they are closed on Sunday so plan you taco fix accordingly. Suffice it to say there are a couple of servers here that already recognize me and know my order before I can place it. Great food: check. Friendly service and always greeted with a smile: check. Great pricing: check. I’ll be seeing you again real soon Mision de San Antonio.

Went in early Friday morning and was taken care of quickly by the friendly staff. Nothing like good tacos at a great price. Keep up the good work.

This particular strip mall is an example of a more run down looking establishment where this new business took over and tried to clean up from the last restaurants previously occupying this space and make it their own. They have my support for being a family run Mexican restaurant that brought soy options to the menu. Anywhere that status quo is less important than doing things your way even if it’s a different path than most take deserves a try from anyone willing to venture off the beaten path. Typical Mexican cuisine is paired with healthy vegetarian options giving people like me the chance to sit down and order food that isn’t just a veggie plate or a bunch of sides. Ah, so nice. The bathroom is small and serviceable though the flickering of the light didn’t help my already present headache. It does come equipped with a changing station and is rather roomy considering. Their hours shortened considerably from my last visit, never open for dinner is a big handicap in my opinion but a working family trying to balance a life with a restaurants demands can make or break you without flexibility. You pretty much seat yourself, there is no hostess stand and very little formality though they do greet you as you walk in and ask if you’re ordering to go. Most of the visible furniture is serviceable and matching, though the décor feels a bit random nature with some Mexico thrown in, it’s not unsightly and the live plants lining the windows for sunlight looked loved. They keep the place well chilled making it a haven for most of sa’s heat intolerant population. The window table i picked likely want the best choice for me as the overhead fan kept me a bit colder than i like while eating. Being right up the street from the medical center it would be a great lunch spot for anyone with the time to spare a short drive a few minutes from the major hospitals. I happened to have come in during what feels like a friend and family luncheon where staff and customers freely interact primarily in light hearted banter though most was in fluent Spanish so I did get lost in translation a bit. Depending on the person this could easily wander between feeling like you stepped into a family’s house during meal time or an outsider interrupting others lunch. I enjoyed it, made the place full of the sounds of laughter and smell of food. Wrap it in a clean environment with sunshine from the windows and you’ve escaped to paradise. Food is made to order, presented with pride and made with passion. I couldn’t have asked for more. The zucchini enchiladas have a corn sauce topping and some how the food started to disappear off my plate before a proper picture could be taken. I did find the beans a bit salty but they balanced out the sweet corn sauce perfectly so perhaps it was intentional. Sweet tea was mildly sweet, how I’ve come to prefer it after to many years of McDonalds version of diabetes tea. While nothing was 100% perfect, they were darn near close. A large variety of deserts, though I sampled none they all were elegantly pictured making me wish I wasn’t trying to diet myself back into my skinny jeans. Overall super satisfied, the only thing they need to work on is cosmetic, to bring in the more visually picky customers that will help keep this gem going for years to come.

This place has taken over as my breakfast taco delivery place of choice in Medical(via Grubhub). The tortillas they use on their tacos are superbly delicious, thick, and wonderful, and the breakfast tacos and the al pastor tacos are among some of the best Ive had here in San Antonio. They have a higher minimum for delivery($ 15) but no delivery fee, so I order enough for breakfast and lunch on those days, but its well worth it.

— Real, homemade corn tortillas! — Homemade tortilla chips — Great salsa This place had limited hours for a long time and never had the chance to go. Went by today and WOW! Totally impressed. In a city where there is a Mexican restaurant on virtually every corner, this unassuming place is hitting the taste buds in all the right ways. Saw a sign for their Mexican buffet. I figured since I hadn’t tried the place before, it might be a good way to sample their wares. The picadillo is authentic, the taco shells were homemade, decent rice and refried beans. The carnitas verdes was delicious. They have daily lunch and dinner specials. The buffet is a served buffet, but for $ 7, I got two enchiladas, two tacos, rice beans, tortillas, chips, salsa, and dessert. Not a bad deal. The daily special is $ 4.99. So glad I stopped by. I hope you help me keep this great little place hopping for a long time to come, so that I may enjoy it again and again.

Went there for breakfast tacos this morning. .. egg and potato, egg and napolitas, egg and chorizo. .. excellent hot sauce on the table. .. the two of us ate for under $ 10 including tax and tip. All this and it’s on my way to work. We’ve decided to make it a once-a-week breakfast stop. Until, of course, some new idea comes along to intrigue.

Yikes, this place has changed hands yet again and taken a gigantic turn for the worse. The rice and beans were the worst I’ve ever had in San Antonio. I ordered the lunch special and got the wrong sides. Our entrees were so bad that nobody finished anything. :-/ New waitstaff that appears more attentive than those in the past. Chips and salsa are still good. I wasn’t even sure it was still open when I walked up to the door… wish I had turned around and gone somewhere else instead.

Who doesn’t love a Mexican who knows where his spice rack is? Not your average Mexican food. Great breakfast pork-chops, and no holding back on the portions! Fast/friendly service, with a choice of American food for your visiting relatives that just can’t stomach one more side of beans! No need to dress up and get your sexy on, it’s just a casual, budget friendly place.

Great service. I have been there about four times. The second time I went there the waitress remember what drink preferences my girlfriend and I both had and that she preferred extra queso. That may not sound like much but there had been over a month between the first and second visit to this place. Good service, good food, cheap food. I recommend the place to anyone looking for quick cheap Tex-Mex. However, the menu reads that it is the«Best seafood in the world.» While it was alright, I would say that the best seafood probably isn’t in San Antonio, let alone anywhere that is not an island, let alone a Mexican food location, but then again I could be wrong.

Finally convinced my lunch crew to try this place. I’ve gotta say, this was one of the best Mexican lunches I have had, and the general consensus of my table was the same. I had a combo plate with beef fajita, cheese enchiladas, and rice/beans. Everything was outstanding. Fantastic tortillas, and house made taco shells… even the rice was stellar. One of my companions had the beef caldo, which looked delicious, and she proclaimed it to be «perfect». The ONLY reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is there are no real special dishes. Everything I had was spectacular and is now in the top 5 Mexican restaurants in my book, for both breakfast and lunch. Overall score of 4.5(why can’t we do half stars?)
