MitchCo Foundation Repair

MitchCo is a high-​quality, professional, HONEST foundation repair company. Their work is both dependable and cost-​effective, and they communicate clearly the progress of their repairs. I almost wish I were to own more homes, all with foundation issues, JUST so I could continue to work with this exceptional team!
When it comes to any kind of construction or home repair, horror stories abound. I bought my house knowing it had recently had its foundation repaired (by someone other than MitchCo), and I was confident making the purchase because the repairs were under warranty. Within 6 months there had been significant shifting, and I called the company that had done the previous repairs. The man showed up to inspect my property, and recommended adjusting his previous work (free under the warranty) and doing significant additional work. I opted to ONLY have the free warranty work done. Lo’ and behold… he never showed up again. He eventually stopped answering my calls. By the time I got around to suing him, he had moved with no forwarding address. Yikes.
Enter MitchCo Foundation Repair.
I could not have had a more opposite experience! Originally, I called them in for an inspection of my house when I feared the warranty company would not show. They gave me an honest assessment with a fair quote. When I chose to stick with the warranty, they wished me the best.
Two years later, I emailed them that I needed to have the new work done and that they were the company I wanted to do it. They responded immediately and even remembered both me and my house. They were able to schedule a re-​inspection the very next day, and were flexible in making arrangements to meet my realtor at the house (as I now live out of state). I was in a hurry to get the work done so that I could make additional repairs (fill cracks, paint walls) before putting the house on the market. Understanding my needs, they were able to get the work started the very next week! And, because I was tight on cash, they helped me to arrange a payment plan.
Once the work started, they noticed that the previous repairs hadn’t noticed or addressed a deficiency in the number and spacing of my foundation piers. In addition to calling to explain the issue, they photographed everything and emailed the pictures for my review. They even gave me a great deal on the installation of additional piers, understanding that these were an unforeseen expense for me.
A few days later, they had to call me again about another deficiency they had found. This time around, they explained that they could make the repair using spare parts that they had on hand. Because they understood that I had already had to shoulder the expense of the unexpected new piers, they gave me the parts and made the additional repair FREE OF CHARGE!!! Now really, how much more could you expect from a contractor?!
At all times, they were very professional and communicated very clearly with me what work was necessary and what it would cost. They sent me pictures of the work being done each day, since I was not able to be present at the property myself. They cleaned up their work site beautifully; you would never be able to tell that such an invasive repair had been done. Most important, they gave me a QUALITY repair that has stabilized my home and has corrected the issues caused by the poor workmanship of the previous contractor. (My doors finally open and close properly, and my floors don’t slant!) Furthermore, I feel much more confident selling my home with its foundation under their warranty, because I know that my buyers will be able to depend on them should any issues arise (though I doubt any will).
