Never even got to eat here but was kicked out by the owner at 11PM with no explanation as to why since they didn’t close until 2AM that night. I drove over 20 minutes to spend my money here. The least they could do would be to update their hours online.

Decent for San Antonio but I’ve had better korean. I had the beef bulgogi and egg rolls. The egg rolls were great but the bulgogi left something to be desired.

This use to be one of our favorite restaurants when it was run by the previous owner. It was called Go Hyang Jib BBQ house. We would eat there everyday weekend. The waitress always knew what we would order so we never even needed a menu. Well, new management took over and this place has gone down severely. Everything tastes worse yet are more expensive. Our normal items are still on the menu but when we had it we noticed it didn’t taste very good. We just thought it was a really off day. Little did we know, it was a new owner. Well, after not eating there for a couple of months, we decided to give this place another shot. We were completely disappointed. We ordered takeout with our normal order, a small sweet sour pork and black bean noodle. When we get there the bill showed an order for large order of the pork. We tell them that’s a mistake. The owner comes out and tells us that we’ll have to pay for the large order even though it was their mistake. Then goes on to complain it’s only $ 5 more anyways so just pay for the large. The owner was very rude about it and kept arguing that it didn’t matter if it was their fault, they made a large order so we’d have to pay for the large. My wife didn’t want to argue so we paid and left. Obviously it was worth it for them to lose long time customers over $ 5. Now the food. We couldn’t even finish the black bean noodle. We noticed the noodle was different. It was also very starchy. The sauce was also very gritty and salty. What a disappointment. The sweet sour pork had an off flavor. The sauce tasted like it had soy sauce in it so the sweet and sour sauce was actually salty. Plus the pork tasted fishy as if the oil had been used too much and needed to be replaced. Finally, we also found a hair in it. Which reminds us, the time before, we found metal bristles in the pork also. Go Hyang Jib RIP

OMG! This is so yummy, I was sobering while I was eating ! Pictures in the studio too))) But hey — my son was singing while he was eating they chow mein with beef(meat tasted like bulgogi, if not better), with a little dancing too)) I have NEVER seen him SO excited about his food! He ate everything on his plate and asked for more — and I know my child — this boy is so hard to feed)) We have ordered also Bulgogi with rice and egg rolls)) The food was absolutely delicious — we told our waitress at least 10 times how YUMMY the food was. We are from LA and I thought I have had a good korean food(and very expensive) — but this — was very unexpectedly GOOD. Btw their bathrooms were surprisingly clean, nice mirror, toilet paper was present XD and even paper towels lol(I am so used to this places not to have these things))) PS They do not accept AMEX, but the apologized like trillion times for that XD And also they have a 5% MILITARYDISCOUNT. Don’t forget to remind them!

I had the beef bulgogi, my husband the pork. If I’d been by myself I’d have rated it a 3 as I thought the lunch just ok. I’ve been to Korea, and I’ve had better, including previous management. My husband, not a fan of Korean liked the Pork better than previous. He’s never been to Korea to taste authentic. Service polite, but somewhat Spartan. Trays made me feel like I was eating in grade school cafeteria. Only a couple types of Kimchee offered

This place has HUGE portions! The prices are comparable and the service was phenomenal. We had two bulgogi plates, one shrimp pancake, and one dolsot bibimpap. Everything was awesome. The food was good, even my dad who doesn’t like anything different, enjoyed the food. The side dishes were awesome. There was tons of food left over and five adults ate there! I am sad I don’t live near SA or I would be there every week!

How do you do it? How do you change a Great establishment into a Mediocre Establishment…? By turning Go Hyang Jib BBQ House into Myung Ga Won. After a long hiatus from Korean food, I decided to continue my foodie tour and stopped into one of my favorite Korean joints since arriving into San Antonio. I was a tad confused when I pulled onto Rittiman and was informed that I had made it to my destination but noticed that the name had changed. I figured what the Hell. I’m Here… I’m Hungry… I’ll give it a try. Stepping in, I noticed all was still the same inside since I last dined, except new management and new prices. I couldn’t rely on Unilocal photos to Aid me as I was informed that the chefs had also taken a departure with the previous management. With the recommendations of the hostess, I ordered the Galibi and oddly waited a rather long time to be the second customer in the restaurant… My food arrived and as I looked over it in the car, I Was Not pleased($ 10.83 wasted). While the prices had increased, the portions had not. The container was filled with Kimchi and other smelly stuff and overpowered the beef which was greasy and fatty. My last experience was a Galibi that had a perfect sear, slim on the fat and arrived on a sizzling dish to render any fat into juiciness… I’m no Korean but my Experience living in Seoul does allow me comment on the good and the bad and this was B.A.D. In my 25 plus years of eating Asian food I had never wanted to spit out Rice… I mean it’s rice… Place in a pot add a cup of water add a dash of salt and boil … It was mushy… Bland and oh what a dash of salt could have done. I couldn’t even help with adding Soy Sauce as it was a mushy ball. It was just Nasty. After picking over it and pulling off as much meat from the Galibi fat, I gave up and bought a sandwich next door.(Normally I return to complain and ask for a refund but it was such a pretty day outside I chose to vent my Frustrations on Unilocal)… Anywho, I lament that it took me so long to return here but with the competition in San Antonio for my foodie interest I was overwhelmed… Le Sigh. With the departure of Go Hyang Jib’s management this place has work to do… They took the chefs, the flavor and the skill with them. And Truth be Told I’ve done better with Bulgogi on my George Foreman Grill. And with that Ladies and Gents, I will Not be Returning … P. S. I was informed they’ll be offering Military Discounts. They’re going to Need the Business Ms. Foodiee

This place is my go to spot ANY time I want Korean food. They used to be called Korean BBQ house and they just recently changed management BUT they are still amazing!!! I usually get their beef bulgogi, it’s a must! Since they just changed management, their menu has changed. I tried the spicy chicken stir fry and it was sooo good!!! I come here every Monday and Wednesday for my fix. My favorite server is Priscilla shes awesome, friendly and always remembers what I like to order. She knows what I want as soon I walk in. She’s excellent! Definitely a spot to try if you’re into Korean and Chinese!!!
