My mother recently purchased a sweater/dress that was super cute! It was on sale for $ 20. The following day she went to purchase one for me because I had told her how much I had liked it. When they rang up the sweater it was more expensive. My mother explained that she had just purchased the sweater for $ 20 the day before. The employee behind the register responded«That was yesterday and today is today.» The lady next to my mother at the register was going to purchase the same item and told the employee at the register that there was a sign on the table saying that the sweaters were on sale. They went to the table to check on the price. Indeed the sign read the $ 20 sale price. The employee very rudely took down the sale price and said they were no longer on sale. I called the store manager, whose name is Cheryl, to complain about how her employee handled the situation. She said she was not there and did not hear the conversation, but would«speak to the girls behind the register.» I understand it is the holiday season and stores are very busy, but you cannot forget about the customer. This is not about the $ 20, it is the principle behind the way my mother was treated. We will NOT be shopping at this store again. Our business will now be going to another New York and Company.

Priscilla from this company was very unclear about how to bring a product back from an online order she was very confusing and not specific about clothes that were in the«70%» of section. I didn’t appreciate how she couldn’t give me and help or find my order when I gave her an order number and the PayPal account we used to buy the items. She turned things around and deff. wasn’t customer service worthy. But then again it’s Ingram park mall. So it all begins to make sense how uneducated people are with their jobs there. Thanks pricilla for not helping me with anything.

This store is located inside the Ingram Mall. Let me start by saying– FABULOUSSERVICE– EXCELLENTEXPERIENCE!!! I recently relocated to SA and found myself in need of a suit for job interviews. I moved here from a smaller town and have fallen in love with numerous shopping locations. I am on a tight budget. My sister shops at NY&C almost daily and has been bugging me about going in to find something for my interviews – since they are affordable. I have not shopped there in several years and truth be told I have gained 50 lbs or so since my last time making a purchase. My sister is about 3 sizes smaller than I am and I really did not think this store had anything that would fit me, so it was my last stop before leaving the mall. When I entered I had just spent the last two days shopping at various discount stores like Ross, TJ Maxx, etc. I began my journey this day into to the anchor stores – after 3 hours of shopping & no luck — I strolled into NY&C feeling disgusted, defeated, and miserable. Right away I was greeted with several smiles. Within 10 minutes, I found something appropriate — a suit separate — and headed to the dressing room. Disgusted that my «want to be size» did not fit– I went to the next size up. Ladies, you know when something fits in the waist and not your hips– or it fits your hips, but too long– well I went through that a few times. By now, I am still disgusted and making my way to the door. As I was contemplating what next… the sales girl that had been assisting me suggested that I try a Petite– she went through the different sizes and styles, and encouraged me to keep trying. One thing she also told me is to not worry about the size, but only if it fit and looked good on me. She brought me a size larger than I thought I needed — but OMG — it fit, and perfectly !!! I was almost in tears. She(I forget her name) probably thought I was crazy– but, if she had only known what I had been through the past few days searching. I raved to her manager and the other staff about it. This renewed my interest in shopping and I ended up spending another 2 hours in the store, getting a shirt and accessories. Everyone was so friendly, not pushy– they knew exactly when to let me be and when to step in. I will be back probably today — To Jackie(Store Manager) and her staff — KUDO’s to you!!! Thank you for caring about your customers and educating them about what NY&C has to offer. This was by far the best shopping experience I have had in years — better than even the high priced anchor stores(you know the ones) — I was able to stay within my budget and got a professional office look.(Confidence booster) I will be a customer for life !!!
