Oh, I’m so disappointed. Apparently this placed has changed names to Quarry Cantina and are about to ditch the old Panchito’s menu. The fideo soup that I really loved at that place also seemed to have changed. I went this last Saturday afternoon, and it just didn’t taste the same; I was so disappointed. It’s no longer even on the menu as it is now only offered as a soup of the day, and you have to be lucky if it is offered when you go in. I’m sure it will find its own legs under a new name, but for now I’m incredibly disappointed. Thankfully all the other Panchitos locations are still open so at least I’ll be able to go to those places for my fideo fix.

My mom had her retirement party here in one of their three private areas. We were definitely secluded from the restaurant and had a very attentive waiter. Unfortunately, we only had a few separate meals that we could choose from (I guess it makes it easier on the waiter and the kitchen). No problem, though. The food was really good. A touch on the spicy side, but good. Empanadas appetizer=awesome! I had the grilled chicken breast, as it was the healthiest option offered and it was better than I expected. So, they do have some delicious healthy options here which is more than a lot of other Mexican restaurants can say. By the way, the margaritas were great!
