It’s hard to imagine San Antonio without Rob the Original. As the most renowned barber in the city, if not the nation, Rob’s skills with the blade remain unparalleled and his professional demeanor is top-notch. Mark Twain once said, «There are only four unique cities in America: Boston, New Orleans, San Francisco, and San Antonio.» Having been featured on ESPN, , and a myriad of other news outlets for his intricate and highly creative designs, Rob is no doubt a shining example of what makes this city unique.

If you are into barber shops you gotta stop by Rob The Originals. I had a student who told me he knew the best barber in the world and I was shocked to learn that Rob is indeed one of the best Barbers I have ever met and or seen online. His shop definitely has a «feel» and his work speaks for itself. I recommend making an appointment and also not being in a rush. I say this because going to the barber should be a relaxing experience. Rob’s barbers are all good in my book!

Unilocal listing said open until 8. Voicemail for the business said open until 9. Reality is they close at 7! The whole mall does. I just landed in San Antonio for work and needed to get a haircut and decided to check them out. I wasted $ 40 in cabs to and from my hotel with no haircut to show for it.

Walk-ins not welcome. Great cuts, but expect to pay the price and lousy customer service. Loud music and they cater to their regular clientele. Forget the newbies much less the older folks. Not sure if if I go back. Like I said great cut but customer service is lousy and they don’t even care if you walk out.

Was looking forward to getting edged up here… Called ahead and was told walk ins were welcome. Drove all the way from the north side … Got there 3 hours before closing and was told they no longer take walk-ins as they were booked. It’s always nice to find a great barber in my cites . Chicago … Check Miami … Check LA … Check Dallas… Check San Antonio… Still searching… I wish the guy who answered would have told me this. Could have saved some gas $$…

I wanted to give these guys props!!! I have lived in San Antonio for over 6 mos and I have 2 little boys, 6&4, who have beautiful hair. I have taken them to every place under the sun to get a haircut and every time the ppl have screwed it up royally!!! My husband and I finally found this place. The 2 guys that cut their hair did amazing!!! I will continue to go here :) thanks a bunch for not messing up my babies hair!!!

I don’t normally feel motivated to write reviews for businesses but I feel like the score for this business doesn’t accurately reflect the service. I went Sunday afternoon and had a generally good experience. I’m not from San Antonio and was in desperate need of a haircut so I poured through the pages of Unilocal in order to find a good shop. Unfortunately a lot of the businesses on Unilocal don’t have complete information and since it was a Sunday I wasn’t sure they would be open. This was the only business I found that had posted hours. Although it only had 2 reviews and an average score I decided to take a chance and go because I was desperate. When I arrived I only had 1 person in front of me so I didn’t have to wait for too long. I got helped by female barber on the left side of the shop and she did a really great job with my hair. I’m normally really picky but I left feeling like I looked good. The shop is located inside on of the nicest flea markets I’ve been to and has a very urban feel to it. It’s decorated really well and very clean. If I lived in SA I would definitely make this my regular spot. Be warned though that although it says that they take credit cards not all the barbers accept them. I didn’t have cash on me but my barber was nice enough to let me go to the ATM and get her some cash. I wasn’t really bothered because all of the barbershops I’ve been to have been cash only, but just a word of warning to those that decide to go cashless.

My kids are 3 and 2 so I called ahead and was told they cut hair for all ages. Arrived and was greeted kindly enough. We were third in line but waited over 45 minutes. Then a guy came out and called for someone who had arrived after us. When I called him on it he responded with a professional«I don’t do kids, man». Walked out and will never return. Thanks for wasting my time.

Best Barbers in town! Rob is the owner and does portraits and cool designs using colors in his cuts. Emily has been our barber here several times and she does a great job with my sons bald taper fade style cut. She is always very friendly and professional as well.
