I love food trucks! Rock on Wheels stood out to me at a Beer Garden & Food Truck event because of the vibrant colors, friendly staff, and menu of nostalgic foods with a modern twist.
We tried the Sweet Grilled Cheese & Bacon O’ Mine and the Double Trouble Waffles. I haven’t had a grilled cheese sandwich in years and had to try this because I. LOVE. CHEESE. The combination of ingredients are all things I love — spinach, avocado, tomatoes, and bacon — and it was yummy but wouldn’t hurt to have even more cheese… :)
The Double Trouble Waffles were our favorite. Think homemade frito pie but with a crispy jalapeño cheese corn bread instead of fritos. I remember eating frito pies at high school football games while growing up and dang after trying this, i wish they had these instead lol. This dish was delicious and warmed us up in the 35 degree cold.
Great addition to the food truck scene in SA!
