Scott and his crew did an amazing job from start to finish. The crew was on time, professional, clean, and thorough. I was impressed that they took the time to look out for issues and made corrections on the spot. They were efficient and we’re done with our 2 story house with 30ish squares in one day.

We had a small leak in our roof. Called Scott and he had one of his guys over the next day. He went out of his way to accommodate the short notice and fit us in his busy schedule.

Our experience with Roof 1 was exceptional. We worked with Roger who was knowledgeable and patient with us. He came out to inspect our roof and saw hail damage. He came back when the insurance adjuster came out and even came back a third time to meet another adjuster when we protested the findings of the first adjuster. It was worth it and the insurance covered a new roof and gutters. Roger walked me through some options (no high-​pressure sales!), worked with the adjuster and made the whole process hassle free for me. The crew came out right away and got the job done quickly. They left the worksite tidy each night and were very curteous and professional. The gutters and roof look fantastic — we couldn’t be happier!

This company has since moved to Tomball!

We have personally referred Roof 1 to a client and Scott Westra the owner really worked with the owner. The client of ours was selling the home and the inspection called for a new rood. The sellers insurance company didn’t pay for the roof, and the expense was all on the seller. Thankfully Scott really worked with the owner and the sale of the home was saved. The buyer and seller were very happy. The jobsite was cleaned up and we closed on time. Additionally, we had been referred to Roof 1 by a friend who had previously used him and she was very happy with his services as well. Thank you Scott.

Roof 1 Construction is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The owner Scott Westra is a scumbag and a Fraud!
He was repairing our roof while we were out of town (1^st mistake on our part) and after the second full day of work they still were not finished. I’m guessing since we were out of town they decided to take their time as our roof should of only taken a day to a day and a half with a full crew. Needless to say it rained pretty hard that night and they didn’t have the matting down properly and had shingles laying directly on the deck board so the roof leaked… A LOT! We had neighbors watching our animals, thank goodness they came over late that night and noticed all the water coming in. When we called Scott, he told us our house was covered, we replied with it was leaking and he said he would be by first thing in the AM. We drove 5 hours home to meet him, and he never showed. He was leaving for vacation that day and continued to tell us he would be by before he left town. Long story not so short, he never came by, sent his assistant that had zero resources to do anything, and got on a boat for a 7 day cruise and left us to deal with it. His roofer’s FINALLY finished the roof on Monday. Taking a total of 4 days to complete a 2800 sq foot house. Roof 1 has done nothing to rectify the situation and has actually played the victim role through this. He wanted us to wait until he got back from his cruise before we did anything and let the water sit in our house to grow mold. His words verbatim were «what did you want me to do wake my kids up and pack them up and come over» he told us letting the water sit in the home wouldn’t cause anymore damage. He also told us that water wasn’t an emergency, fire and death are emergencies. Since his assistant was left with zero resources and we knew Scott docked that Tuesday we waited to see if he would return our calls or emails. He never called. We gave him 36 hours to handle the mess. it wasn’t until I started posting our situation on social media, did he then decide to call us and when he called he was only concerned about the online reviews and argued with us about the amount of damage we had in our home. (Guess he should of came by when he said he would) We had to file an insurance claim for the repairs since time was of an essence to get our ceilings and walls out and start the drying process. We are currently living out of a hotel, paid for by our insurance and waiting on the paperwork to start the rebuild process. He also has failed to provide any insurance information to us. I HIGHLY suggest you do not use this company. There are way too many great companies out there to deal with this immorally, unethically ran company!
He also states his company is GAF Certified yet cannot provide the paperwork and when I called GAF they have zero record of his company. They also looked at his website where he advertises this info and we were told he has the old logo and they haven’t used that logo in many years!
