Went back to Rudys and now they accept credit cards. The wait was reasonable(20 minutes on a Friday). The food actually tasted like on the old days.

Been coming here for more than 20 yrs, been a few months since I’ve been back and the portions aren’t what they used to be; which were very generous. No cups for water but they’ll sell you a bottle for $ 1. They do accept credit cards now so maybe that explains the recent changes.

Rudys good is always fresh and hot. You get your money’s worth and more. The staff is always friendly. The place is a little small though.

Rudy’s is the best fried seafood in San Antonio! I always get the fishermans platter and never regret it. Been a long time customer for more than 15 years now. Only con would be the food a day after it’s been sitting. It tends to get a little hard and dry. I always spray it with water and throw it in the microwave. Makes it good again. The service is good, they rarely mess up an order but when they do they fix it. They’re all business!

Okay, so I’d been all hyped up and told the food here was great. So wrong, so so wrong! Not only was the food not good here, I left half my $ 11 lunch and I was disgusted too. Everything was from a box and deep frozen, then deep fried. Long John Silvers has better Cole slaw than this place. The fish was soggy and gross. I wanted a large tea to go and apparently they only have one size cup which is about 16 ozs. I ordered the small fish plate and a drink and it was $ 11, way too high for the quality of food. Also, the ladies at the counter seem to have been doing this so long they have forgotten what customer service is all about, I’d say they’ll soon be just rude and grumpy. Why did I leave disgusted? As I was going to refill my tea I noticed one of the ladies behind the counter blow and wipe her nose and then turn around and serve food in the same breath. Luckily I’d already given up on my horrible meal and was headed out the door. C’mon San Antonio, you gotta do better than this when hyping up a seafood place as being«awesome.» This place was gross, I’ll never waste my time here again.

Best fish joint in all of San Antonio. My family’s go to during lent it when we are craving fish! We always take out though, so I can’t speak for the dining experience, but if it’s as good as their food I’m sure it’s great.

The food was very bland. It was frozen bland deep fried sea food. The salt and lemon I added did not help. The fish tacos are a strip of fish and only«one» corn tortilla. The chipotle sauce does not even taste like chipotle what so ever. The fried fish, shrimp, and mushrooms needed more a lot seasoning. Everyone at the table had the same comment on the food… bland. San Antonio needs to step up their seafood game. Yall have no idea what good sea food is people.
Six of us ate here Tonight and it was great! Fish Taco and fish we all loved and the two pieces I ordered were the size of 4 – 5 pieces anywhere else. The shrimp were huge and the best we have had. Onion rings and sweet potato fries to die for! A hole in the wall with great food and service!
