This company is an amazing«blast to the past,» very old school; when you walk into the office, looks like nothing has changed since the 1960s. Very Mary Tyler Moore office staff, and guys walking around in jump suits and hard hats. The walls are adorned with photos of glass sky scrapers(with glass by Samuels?), and big photos of employees congratulating them for their years of service and retirement. Awesome! They could totally film a TV show here. I must say, it was a very appropriate place to buy protective glass tops for my recently purchased mid-century furniture pieces. One is a Danish high boy dresser with a curved front. We carefully measured the top, which was not a rectangle, due to the curved front … and made a template with measurements. The other piece is a long, rectangular credenza, which was also not perfectly«square» at the corners. We brought the measurements and templates in, and within a few days Samuel Glass Co had our glass ready to pick up. Much to our relief, when we brought the glass home … it fit … perfectly ! They told me they would be happy to recut the glass if it was slightly off, but in both cases, the glass was a perfect fit. Now I have a need for a custom mirror to go over the bed. Samuels Glass Co. has a technician ready to go out and measure the space for me and figure out what kind of fasteners will work best, etc. They quoted me a price of about $ 300, which includes installation! For such a large mirror, this is only slightly more than what it would cost for off-the-shelf mirrors, which wouldn’t be cut to the correct size, and wouldn’t be professionally installed. So glad I found Samuels Glass Co.
