I took my son here to get a haircut and left wishing I hadn’t come here. First let me say that my son is 9months old and had already had a haircut elsewhere and did great. So I come here to get him cleaned up and left with very noticeable blunt cuts that the lady didn’t take the time to blend in, his sideburns are uneven and I wish she would have asked me if I even wanted them buzzed off(because I didn’t!).the cut took 15min. Tops since its a baby’s head and I paid over 30 $ after I left a tip. Truly the worst cut ever! I should have just taken him to super cuts for a better job.

Terrible experience! I booked online two days advance and received confirmation for an appointment only to receive a call the day of the appointment that it was cancelled because they had a party. Shannon wasn’t trying to accommodate us with reasonable options other than to wait until late afternoon but even then we couldn’t get pedicures or their mini-cure service. I have a 3 year old and a 7 year old that are disappointed on a day that was supposed to be my daughters first hair cut for her birthday tomorrow. Do not book online!

I have been taking my son to get his hair cut here for over a year, always been satisfied. A few weeks ago I wanted to get him a new style and they nailed it! I was really happy with the results. Today I took him again to get the same style, I showed the stylist the picture of the style I wanted and explained it in detail. The results were appalling! The stylist could clearly see I was not a happy mother! To top it off I was still charged! Not the full amount, but none the less charged for a haircut I could have done myself!

Pricey. Took my son here to get a quick cut. The set up is great for kids, with plenty of things to distract them from what’s actually happening. My son was immediately drawn to the race car chairs they had, and almost catapulted himself into one. His barber was nice, patient, and took her time cutting his hair. Once he was done, he got a balloon and lollipop… two things that kids love. I wasn’t crazy about the price(18.95), that’s how much I pay to get my hair cut. However, given the atmosphere and a rambunctious kid, it’s almost worth it. If they dropped the price to 12, that would be perfect.

I had my daughter’s first haircut done here. The stylist did an excellent job and gave her such a cute cut and style. They are so patient with the kids while being very quick at the same time. We will definitely be returning.

Call me a sucker, but I gladly pay $ 20 for a scream-free, tear-free haircut for my 2 year old. He watches Netflix while sitting in a car shaped chair with lollipop in hand and the patient, sweet stylist gives him a perfect cut. When he’s older(and presumably less terrified of the experience) I’ll take him somewhere cheaper. For now, I’m very happy with Sharkey’s.

Fun place to get a kid a haircut. Easy parking, no wait, but I would recommend an appointment as I could see that it gets very busy on weekends! The stylist was very nice and professional and worked well with very thick hair. She even washed it after cutting it. He watched an old favorite on Netflicks during the haircut. The price is definitely higher than the chain quick cuts, but our last two cuts across the street were blantantly crooked on the kids. It is nice to pay more and not have to fix!

They host children’s birthday parties. They have a room in rear of store. Nice change from Chucky cheese or McDs. Prices are reasonable

Pricey but a really great environment for kids. All staff is great and they take adults also.

I wanted to like Sharkey’s, but left disappointed. It had been recommended to me by several friends, so when my 7 year old daughter wanted a major change in hair style, we made an appt here(instead of going to a cheaper place where she usually just gets a trim). On the plus side, the stylist was ready right at our appt time, the shop was clean, and the chairs and hair washing sinks were just the right size, a fact my daughter appreciated. But the stylist was not friendly, and she did not do quite what we asked– even though my daughter showed her where she wanted it cut to, and I confirmed with her before she started cutting. It was hard to tell how it looked at the end of the hair cut because it was still wet– the $ 18.95 hair cut did not include a quick blow dry, even though it says it does online– but when her hair dried it was just not right. She can live with it, though, so we will not try to go back. Another major gripe about this place is that the prices(and what they include) are not posted anywhere, including on the website. You would have to pick up the small brochure and read through it. So, if you know it will really help your young child to sit in a cool chair and watch a movie while getting a hair cut, then go for it, but otherwise it’s not worth it.

This is a great place to get your child’s hair cut. The staff is always very friendly, the hair cut is always good. They even have vehicles as their barber chairs, and use cartoons to entertain the kids during the haircut. The only negative(which may be more location-based) is that they can sometimes be very, with lots of hair all over the vehicles. As for price, I think $ 18.95 is good for the cut and experience.

My son really enjoyed the experience. He’s a very fidgety 16 month old and the stylist cutting his hair was very sweet and patient. She did a wonderful job and he looks so good. Folks may think that $ 18 for a haircut is steep. You are paying for the experience and the atmosphere, but I’d rather pay for a place that will do a quality job over a butcher shop that will be impatient and scare my child as a result.

Clarissa did a wonderful job cutting my son’s messy head of hair this afternoon. She had a «vision», and he looks so handsome! Great job, Sharkey’s!

Took my kids here and service was mediocre. But when I went to pay, I felt poked in the eyes when I had to pay $ 20 dollars a kid for a $ 5 dollar haircut. We just got a basic cut. «Paying» for the atmosphere is defiantly not worth it. It’s a salon not an amusement park. Anyway, across the street is another kids cut where their prices are more realistic. Will defiantly not go back.

I brought my son here last month for his second haircut because we had such a good experience the first time. It wasn’t bad, took the hairdresser about five minutes to do and he was entertained by a TV. I went to check out and it cost me $ 18.95(not including tip). I looked at the brochure and it said a boy’s cut cost $ 18.95 inc wash, cut, blowdry, style, etc etc etc. there wasn’t anything less. All he got was a cut and a balloon and it cost us $ 18.95. I can’t fathom spending the same amount of money it costs to get my hair cut for my 18 month old. I’ll probably be going to Rio’s in the future. It’s really not worth it if you’ve got a young boy.

I’m a child at heart. My wife has often accused me of acting childish. Neither of these however qualify me as a full grown man to get my hair cur at Sharkey’s Cuts For Kids. I lament this fact more then I probably should. I honestly hope whomever came up with concept is on his or her way to becoming a billionaire. On one side of the salon there are colorful vehicles that kids can sit in while getting their hair cut, while on the other chairs infront of video game systems(PS3, XBOX) and DVD players that are running kid friendly shows. I have never seen kids sit so still for a hair cut in my life. On top of that they offer fun services(mostly to girls) once the wash and cut are finished that my girls love. The hair feather and glitter spray is popular with them and recently Sharkey’s started offering hair tinsel. All amenities aside the hair dressers know how to talk to kids, which adds to the over all experience for them. Them being the kids. All I can do is sit back and be mind numbingly jealous that I’m not a little girl with long flowing hair.
