Where do I start? Ok, last year I found Sherwood Tax Solutions and decided to file my tax’s with them. What a nightmare!!! If you don’t read any further than this please take my advice and DO NOT GO HERE!!! I was called back to provide more information after I thought business was done, then a day after that I received a call from them asking for additional information in order to start the process. I had already been waiting a week, so I was thinking that I would get my return at least within another week. I dealt with two females and both were rude, disrespectful and do not support the troops. I say that because I filed in uniform. To make a long story short and they know exactly who I am.
I would not give any more information over the phone and requested a refund of the processing fee. While getting the run around on who I needed to talk to about the return, I went to another location to file. To my suprise they did not have any issues and they didn’t take half as long. A day later I get a call from Sherwood Tax Solutions saying that they processed my tax return and I should be expecting the money in about 2 week’s. I asked Arlene Ottaway how did she find my information needed if I didn’t give it to her and she couldn’t give me an answer! And the quote was a lot less than what I could’ve received by the way.
Every year I’m here at Ft. Sam performing my military duties, I will go out my way to tell any Soldier/​Civilian that is looking to file tax’s TO NOT GO HERE!!! Also, I am currently trying to get it put on the blacklist because I can’t allow another brother/​sister in arm’s or anybody else for that matter get screwed over by this place. And to Carrie Copeland and Arlene Ottaway, I know you thought this was over and I was just blowing smoke, but honestly I had been way too busy leading and training Soldiers to be dealing with the way you run your shady business. I don’t blow smoke, I have time now. And speaking of blowing smoke, I waited 20 minutes while she smoked on the back patio. By the time I got to my car I was smelling like cigarette and brushing off cat dander from her letting her cat’s run free and lay on the furniture.

They have helped me get on top of my taxes. We had a few bumps in the road so I do recommend follow up but in each occasion they have worked to resolve everything and have taken care of me well. They are more than the big box tax places you find elsewhere.

My sister’s accountant took off with her money and left her holding a bunch of receipts and no W-2s…Sherwood Tax Solutions helped her out of this bind and got her an extension, sorted the issue out, and now she too is a loyal customer.
You can expect great customer service, thorough explanations and work, and above all, you can trust them: in this day and age, that is a commodity that is hard to get and Arlene and company have earned my trust.
