Short line, long wait, the most bitter coffee I’ve ever had in my life(and yes I know it’s Starbucks). Lots of seating indoors and out.

Having a 15 year old daughter, I have frequented quite a few Starbucks. This is by far the dirtiest and rudest one I have been to. The lady taking my order did not even greet us. Our drinks took forever and the place had trash all over it. Most of the tables were empty but still needed cleaned. Even the trash can by the door was full with gum stuck on it. Disgusting.

Have been in SA attending a conference this week and this SB is near where I am staying. With Fiesta going on it seems to be understaffed. Plus it is obvious there is a staff morale issue going on as most of them have not been very friendly. Time for the area SB Manager to stop by and give this location a reality check.

I ordered an Iced Caffè Latte with caramel sauce on mobile order and pay. First received a latte without the caramel. After offering to remake it, I received an Iced Oprah Chai Tea Latte. At least they tried.

Worst Starbucks I’ve ever visited. Had to repeat my order 4 times before the cashier actually got it right. Then, they made the drink without the syrup I’d ordered. When I had them remake it, she trued to short me on the syrup. Since I have the same drink nearly every day, I know that 6 pumps on the syrup is the recipe. She tried to get away with 3. For a location that charges higher-than-average prices, you should at least get what you’re overpaying for.

I was excited to see this Starbucks open, as it is close to my business downtown. I’ve been here a few times now. So far, this has been a very poorly run store. The staff is of a much lower caliber than most Starbucks. They are generally not friendly, and don’t seem to know what they are doing. My blueberry oatmeal was given to me with blueberries only, and was barely lukewarm, not hot enough to steep. When I told them, the girl just added more hot water from another source and gave it back. So now it was a large cup of slightly warmer water with uncooked oatmeal on the bottom. Another time, I added money to my card with a credit card. The girl gave me a Sharpie to sign the recepit. When I chuckled, she said she didn’t have a pen. A moment later I decided to give her a pen before I left. She barely acknowledged the gesture. The tables and seats are usually dirty, even when there seems to be enough time for someone to clean. I’m embarrassed for San Antonio that this is in such a high volume tourist area. I love Starbucks and frequent many of them, often multiple times a day. This one really appears to be lacking in good management and good hiring practices.

First time I went there I was talked down to. Second time I waited over 20min for a green tea/apple juice. This Starbucks has the worst wait I’ve seen. They need to put more staff working at a time. A 3rd time and I should have learned my lesson but once again I was talked down to as the barista flailed her arms up in the air and said ‘I don’t know’ and ‘give us a minute’ wow. Thanks

Only come to this Starbucks if you plan on spending the rest of your life here! By far the slowest moving staff ever hired by the company! Also the drinks are not consistent, and they run out of iced coffee daily. The manager just stands there watching the line, without him doing anything to help expedite the service. The whole staff needs to learn efficiency. It shouldn’t take 20 twenty minutes with less than ten people in line!!! Wtf! Everyday it just gets worse! There’s two girls who are decent, but their manager and coworkers are not interested in getting people out fast or making the drinks right!!!

Not sure why the Baristas at Starbucks seem so put out to make a pour over of dark roast but it is becoming a recurring theme. Gotta be honest — this is starting to become irritating. Cmon Starbucks. Realize not everyone wants a pikes place blend so just smile when I ask for something different and take my money like you appreciate my business. Thanks.

I know this is a tourist area but the wait to order your drink and how long it takes to actually get your drinks is ridiculous, TWENTYMINUTES for two drinks.

We were in San Antonio visiting family for Thanksgiving. We were staying at the Menger Hotel which is right next to the mall. We visited this location a few times as my daughter loves Starbucks. Each time we came we were lucky the line was short. Every staff member was very nice and courteous. There something to be said for southern hospitality, and there is a lot of truth to that.

Employees are very rude. I’ve worked downtown over 10yrs and this is a recurring problem. I know tourists are needy and sometimes rude themselves, but no need to take it out on the few people who are nice! Ordered my drink cold and she served it hot telling me «it comes hot.» When I’ve ordered it iced for years. How can this be an issue for 10yrs?! I’ve had enough, I’m walking to St. Mary’s & Houston from now on.

They took forever to make my drinks and forgot a cheese Danish I ordered. When I told the barista(Amanda) she gave a nasty look and say«oh, I forgot» and asked someone else for it.

I’m not a huge fan of starbucks in general, but this one is pretty rough. Even when they’re not super busy, the service is incredibly slow. They run out of stuff very quickly as well. One bonus is that they have free wifi. Other than that, get your caffeine elsewhere.

Ummmm it should not take 20 minutes for an iced coffee yet for some reason it does at this location. If you must have something from here be prepared to WaiT Forever!

One word: FILTHY Starbucks needs to be ashamed of its company owned store. Store opened for only an hour and you would think it hasn’t been cleaned for a week. Trash on floor, windows gross including glass and sills.

This Starbucks location is on the Riverwalk San Antonio gets a lot of traffic during busy times. However, there prices on just straight up drip coffee is quite pricey. Their floors were dirty being open only a few hours and there’s hardly anyone on the Riverwalk it’s only 10:00 am no, the furnitures are dirty and condements section unkept. There’s only one choice of creamer out for your delight –H&H. The staff not so friendly. There’s outdoor seating not related to Starbucks. I was glad I had another location to select from vs. the hotel Starbucks, which is relatively close and overpriced, which is understandable, but didn’t think I should pay their prices. Bottom line I got my Americano and I think with a little more attention to some house cleaning, it will be a much more appealing Starbucks. My rating is strictly on appearances.

This Starbuck’s was the closest coffee shop to the Menger Hotel, so it gets 3 stars for proximity. Service was friendly one day, adequate the next day(admittedly, it was New Year’s Day and I think the baristas were as hung over as I was). Sitting right on the river is a nice bonus. It is a Starbuck’s, though, and no Starbuck’s deserves more than 3 stars.

No wonder this place has some of the lowest reviews out of any Starbucks in the US. Starbucks is known for great customer service and this place(and employees) don’t seem to understand this. I didn’t have a small condiment in the protein box, and one of the managers Camille seemed to be aloof and not willing to help by either looking for it, refunding my money, or giving me the same item which did contain the condiment. I get it, you are busy at work, but most people are. A little extra effort for the customers goes a long way considering that’s your job.

Ordered an Iced Double-Tall Latte and a Chocolate Chunk Cookie, got a Hot Double-Grande Latte instead, and the guy at the register started reaching for a Banana Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake before I corrected him, too. I know he heard me the first time because the display on my side said«Cookie.» Would have been just another Starbucks visit, but it seems worth mentioning that my friend’s latte also arrived without the syrup he ordered with it. Kinda important when a customer pays extra just for a few pumps of flavor. I don’t know who was dropping the ball the most this day, but the problem was probably coming from the register. Located at the lowest level of Rivercenter Mall(near Hooters), this is otherwise an excellent location for a Starbucks since it is on the way to several exits and is situated right by the escalator to the upper level. The long line induced by heavy foot-traffic is the only guaranteed hangup, but I WILL wait for my coffee. Just get it right for us next time, will ya.
