Delicious coconut bubble tea with tapioca and custard sinker is the best I’ve had in this area. Hands down my place for bubble tea.

Okay, I’ll admit. I’m a newbie to this whole bubble tea thing. But I wanted to treat myself after work today(it’s been a rough week, y’all) and I thought to myself, «Man. I really want a bubble tea.» So after doing some research as to which place was most accessible for me, I came across Suck It Callaghan on Unilocal. When I pulled up, I thought for a second they were closed, even though there was a lit OPEN sign in the window. There were no other signs, no nothing. When I walked in, there was one dude there, but everything else looked as though they were not in operation. Luckily the dude there was patient enough to explain that they were renovating(something about a vape lounge maybe?) but they were still open and serving bubble tea. He was also patient enough to explain(after lots of questions from me) about the whole bubble tea process and suggested a few combos to try. I went with the pineapple-coconut version with tapioca(they only had this or green apple jellies) with Splenda, because apparently that’s an option! The bubble tea itself was a creamy dreamy concoction, and I wanted it to last forever. It was seriously so yummy. For only $ 3.25, too! This may be a problem for me, because I will want to stop in every day. The only reason I’m only giving four stars instead of five was because of the weird customer service. Since I was the only person there at the time, the guy was patient enough with me to help me out with all my questions. But if I was a new customer without knowing what exactly to ask, I would’ve been completely lost. I still kinda was. But regardless, the end result was me with a happy tummy, so that’s a win in my book.

Arrived at this place at around 11pm on a Friday night with friend planning to have a relaxing evening smoking some hookah and drinking some bubble tea… Our drinks took 15 minutes to make and were watery. That was annoying, but what was even worse was that when our hookah finally came out at 11:30, the young man told us he was going to close at 12 instead of the listed time of 2am. Now, if anyone has smoked hookah before a good session lasts at least an hour, so we were left feeling rushed and just let down by this place which was a bummer because it sounds like such a great concept.

I came here during my lunch hour to grab a quick boba tea. With the new hours, it was totally doable. Around 3:30 on a weekday it was pretty dead, as you can imagine. The guy at the register at this location was at least not annoyed at me being there like the guy at the Babcock location. Also, their shelves where they normally sell random Hookah items seemed REALLY bare. Like, maybe one item on the shelf per partition. However, the Hookah area looked really clean, unlike the other location which just has stuff thrown in a corner with a blanket tossed over it. The boba tea was just as good though– tasted pretty well blended to me! Other than the tea and cleanliness… the visit was just kinda meh.

Do you love standing in line while hookah smoke creeps into a dirty little joint where you order your tap tea and smoothies? This is the place you. Plus, it’s expensive

When this location first opened, I really liked it. However, I’ve started to notice that they don’t quite blend their drinks well enough. For example, I can taste the powder in the avocado and taro smoothies. As for the sweetness, all drinks still taste super sweet even with 50% of the sugar reduced. This place is starting to remind me of Tong’s Thai for their bubble tea, which also had a very powdery taste.

I’ve been here twice my first experience was pretty good the guy was nice and help me out, the only thing I was a little disappointed by was that they were out of almost all the flavors for bubble drinks. My second visit was just a few days ago I went in with my husband since he liked the way my drink tasted the last time I went in. There was a different guy there he seemed rude he asked what I wanted I told him chocolate banana with yogurt sinkers but again they were out of yogurt sinkers he looked at me I just let him know last time I was in you guys were out of everything I was not rude I actually tried to lighten up his mood and joke with him but nope. My husband ordered and they were out of something he wanted as well. I just think that if you business is out of stock let the customer know and not just keep playing the guessing game. Be a little more friendly it’s not like they were busy. The place was nice and clean but the customer service kinda sucked. I’ll try the Babcock location next time even though callaghan is only 3 min from my house.

Delicious bubble tea. I think this location gets advertised as a Medical Center location– but I feel like since it’s on the other side of I-10, it’s not really. When we got there at 6 on a weekday, we were the only ones so no teenyboppers to be seen. Nice and quiet. I’ll probably stick to the original location since it’s closer. But if this is closer to you, the bubble tea is great either way.

The location is nice but having been an unofficial advertising patron of the original location it lacks a little of the personal cozy atmosphere I enjoyed so much for my hang out place. The owner customized my drinks for me and all was great in the lands of awesome bubbles. But with popularity brings change, upgraded, new locations, new employees, new stipulations. Now that the owner doesn’t run the counter and the employees that knew my customised drinks are missing from my visits in left with an inability to order the drinks I customized to be my «usual order» with rules to not alter the owners specifications on Thai tea and coffee being served undiluted from how they’re intended. I like my tea with flavor added to try new things, im gangster like that. I don’t like being crippled in my creativity options for my drinks but since I know the owners reasoning behind keeping his unique mixtures true to their flavor(and making sure people don’t bastardise the mix and complain about not liking their invention) I hold no grudge, it’s still a great place to get bubbles, cheaper than most others in town, and big enough to have friends gather here. In the end, thanks for the great coffee unnamed employee whom i won’t rat out for customising my coffee drink of choice even if it is a one time favor. Rock on guys. Update your Facebook when the medical Center location opens, I’ll help you with the christening. Lol Support local business owners!

It was first time going, but I was impressed by the quality of the tapioca. Lots of places overcook and undercook their boba, so it ends up slimy outside and hard inside. The boba here was perfect! I ordered the red bean and they use actual red bean instead of powder. Definitely will come back.

Marlon was dope! Wanted some Boba on my «free day». Stopped by after the gym– highest rated smoothie joint in the vicinity of Ft. Sam Houston. Great first impression with the name, «Suck it Callaghan». We were disappointed when it turns out the name is «Suck It» and the location is on Callaghan. Still cool name :) I asked which ones were dairy free, and Marlon said all the drinks that had«dairy» used soy. So, No dairy in anything, only soy. But, I can’t do soy dairy or gluten so– I asked which had just fruit(I don’t like to explain to service professionals my allergies, they don’t care and their time is precious when there is a line or not, so I keep it short and go for the jugular. What I want.). Marlon says yes– the Slush has only fruit. He recommends a second flavor to mix to the one I choose(passion fruit) and I get my passion fruit mango slush with boba — sooooo good!!!(my husband got the soy mango strawberry bubble tea and it tasted like strawberry shortcake in drink form!!! Amazing. I had one sip ;).) go here!!! You won’t be disappointed.

The boba smoothies here are pretty good. I tried a mango-passionfruit combination boba smoothie without boba and was pretty satisfied. It had a nice creamy texture and tasted like they put fruit in it although I’m not 100% sure since I didn’t see them make my drink. It wasn’t too sweet though, which is great in my opinion. A friend ordered green tea-mint combination smoothie and it tasted like green tea ice cream. I’m surprised that it tasted pretty good considering some boba shops around San Antonio screw up some basic flavors. Another friend got a milk tea which was alright, but needed to be more sweetener. I’m sure they could have easily put more sweetener. However, she didn’t ask. Overall, I’m glad I have a decent option for boba around the medical center now. This place is also open until 2 am. I’ll definitely be back here with friends. I’m not into hookah, so I don’t have an opinion on that.

First time visiting and will be coming back! The downside is that they don’t open till 6p the upside they’re open till 2a. Didn’t realize while waiting for my bubble tea that there was a whole second room involved, the little seating area I was in did seem awfully small haha :-P Ordered the almond bubble tea with pearls and it was amazing! Very tasty! The ladies working the counter were very friendly and patient while I tried to narrow down my choices. Can’t wait for my next visit, trying a different bubble tea and getting a chance to try out the hookah experience with my friends.

For some reason I like the other location better. …drinks taste better. Same menu — just that they seem to run out of sinkers during the nighttime or something. Weird angle for a layout and if you don’t look carefully(next door is the hookah side). I loved the giant stuffed panda bear sitting at one of the tables, enjoying hookah. Cute. Had to pose with it. Maybe I’ll give this location another try, but it’s difficult trying to get boba after 6 pm here since we only stick on this side of town during the day — and they open at 6 pm.

This place is very close to my home, so its location is very convenient for me. However, I was slightly disappointed when I tried their bubble tea; it tastes good and all, but there seems to be a downgrade in taste and quality when compared to the Babcock location’s bubble tea. It also doesn’t seem to be as cool of a hangout place as Babcock’s Suck It SA. Despite this, the place seems to be much cleaner and neater.

I was really excited about this location since it is a lot closer to me than the original Suck It, but after trying a new bubble tea place in Houston the day before I wasn’t quite as jazzed about my drink this time. The pearls were on the dry side – which was odd since Suck It is normally spot-on with their tapioca – and the flavor of the drinks seemed a bit off. I got a peach tea and my partner got an almond milk tea, which is what we usually get, but it just didn’t seem as tasty as usual. The new location looks pretty dang nice, though, and it is quite a bit more spacious and clean than the other. There were plenty of people in the hookah lounge, too, so I’m glad this one is picking up business quickly! I’ll be back but I might have to find a new place to get my boba fix.

Drove up to this place and almost walked inside thinking it would be a chill place to drink some Taro and smoke some Hookah but the place was packed with 12 year old kids with Hello Kitty attire and the music inside was straight up wacky. I didn’t see a single hookah in use, not sure why this place comes up on Unilocal as a Hookah BAR… Maybe it’s a Hookah/Daycare, but certainly not a Hookah ‘BAR’ nor ‘LOUNGE’. Unilocalers beware, this was a teeny bopper hangout joint(at least the night we showed up which was a late Friday night 2013) Other than the ambiance which would be fine if I was 15 years old, the place looked clean and seemed to offer all the right stuff you would expect plus bubble tea which I admit is a big plus, just wish the hookah aspect of it could be done a better setting.
