Tabitha’s Hair Studio

This lady, Tabitha, is a hair genius! I am so lucky she was able to fit me in (and to have met her randomly). I love my hair and can’t stop looking at it. I wanted red in my super dark black hair and she did an amazing job. I might just be in love. I don’t think I could ever go to another hair stylist and be so happy. She has ruined me for anyone else. I will definitely be a regular and see what other magic she can work with my hair.

Tabitha isn’t taking new clients, I was really disappointed to hear that because that means she’s really good. Reading her website and Unilocal led me to believe she must be a lot like my close friend and former hair professional in Houston. I emailed Tabitha from her website requesting a new client appointment as I’m new to town and I didn’t hear back for several days. After giving it a lot of time, I called and got a voice mail saying that she isn’t taking new clients. Very frustrating, I felt like I had wasted a lot of time, but I guess I’m late to the party!

I’ve been had longish blond hair for the last 43 of my 44 years and I only trusted Tabitha to change it. REALLY — she’s a hair WIZARD! Very knowledgeable. And she didn’t even know about her Unilocal reviews. Pleasant setting too!

LOVE the way my hair turned out! My highlights are beautiful! This has been the best experience I’ve had with my hair in the 6 years I’ve lived in San Antonio!!! Tabitha is awesome… she makes you feel like an old friend. She’s not loud and gossipy nor is she snooty and judgmental. I have been to people who have been cheaper, but you really get what you pay for and she is reasonably priced for the area. Her work is true quality and I will NO DOUBT return!

If you are looking for a stylist to update your look, then Michelle Cardelli is your gal. She keeps up with the latest styles, but also takes into consideration what your desires are. During my second appointment, she made a recommendation and asked me to trust her. I did! And guess what? When I left the salon I felt amazing with my new cut and color! My 25 year old son visited me later that day and his smile was huge and sincere when he commented that I looked so young. I know that the saying goes «I’m a beautician, not a magician», however Michelle is about as close to a magician as there is!

My usual stylist moved out of state, and my hair had been in desperate need of a cut. Finding a new stylist is always hard, this time I took the risk and found her here on Unilocal… best decision I’ve made! :)
I found her Facebook page and was able to get in sooner than expected due to a cancellation. Her salon is very comfy, and she is just so friendly and personable from the start. My request was simple: Chop it off! Seriously, I wanted something short and manageable as a busy mom, and she listened and gave me exactly what I wanted, I learned more about my hair in the process. I’m very pleased with the results, my husband and son really like it, have had compliments from friends and coworkers. Aside from the cut, the conversation was great, you really get the sense she loves what she does. Thanks again Tabitha, I can’t wait for my hair to grow to go back! :)

Tabitha did an amazing job! I am very nervous when it comes to getting my hair cut. So much that I will go a year or two without getting it done. I’m so happy to find Tabitha. It was a great experience with great conversation. She is very knowledgeable and had my confidence right from the beginning! Thank you Tabitha! I will be back real soon.

Just got to visit Tabitha’s Studio today for a much needed eyebrow waxing appointment. I’m always paranoid when it comes to finding a new stylist, you never know if you’re gonna walk out with only one eyebrow & an urge to punch someone.
That being said, I was VERY happy with the job she did! She listened to what I wanted, & ACTUALLY DID IT, yeah… crazy, right? Not only was I very happy with the results, but the actual appointment didn’t take much time at all. While my last stylist in Memphis always did a great job, it took about 25 minutes or more.
Anyway, as I’m sure you’ve surmised, I would definitely recommend this place & I can’t wait to see what she can do with my hair when I’m ready for an appointment!

Tabitha really rocks.
I’ve worked with Tabitha a few times over the last several months for Unilocal stuff, but I’ve never had a chance to let her get her hands on my hair. But, as I began reading all her 5 star reviews, I knew she would be the perfect choice as I started craving some blonde highlights.
I found my way to Salons by JC, where her salon is located at the Legacy Shopping Center. When I walked into Tabitha’s studio, I was super excited and immediately felt at home in her space. I love the way the whole place it decorated. She sells jewelry as well as great hair products like Brazilian blowouts and she was the first stylist in San Antonio to provide feathers for those of us looking to jump on that craze. One thing I think is really great about Tabitha is that she keeps her eyes on the latest trends all over the country and goes out of her way to stay on top of all of it.
That brings me to my highlights. As I explained to Tabitha that I wanted the whitest of white highlights, she told me she was a bit concerned about how much damage that can do to hair. She was totally willing to do it if I wanted but thought that what might be a better choice for me is to go for some platinum extensions. I decided to go with her recommendation and I’m so happy I did! My hair looks beautiful, I got the blonde I was wanting, but it’s not permanent and it won’t damage my hair. I also won’t have any roots to go back and match every 6 weeks.
All in all, I can’t recommend this woman enough. She’s an amazing stylist and I feel so fortunate Unilocal led me to her!

My regular hair lady was out of town for a few weeks and my hair was in a need for a cut that just could not wait for her return. My friend suggested Tabitha so I took the chance hoping I would not regret it later. She was so pleasant and had such great information for your hair. I was so happy with my cut and I will be using her again!

I just moved here from California, and was way overdue on getting my roots worked on! I get nervous about new colorists because I have baby fine hair, and still insist upon being über blonde! Tabitha was able to see me the next day, and even chatted with my previous colorist in SF to get the ‘recipe’ just right! She was super quick, easy to talk to, and the color came out exactly how I love it! Thank God now I’m back to a little more Gwyneth and a lot less Madonna. Thank you Tabitha!

I recently had my hair highlighted and thought they came out too bright! I wasn’t expecting my hair to be that light so I freaked, looking for a good colorist/​stylist I turned to Unilocal and saw that Tabitha’s Hair Studio had some pretty good reviews and was close by. I went to the hair studio and was blown away by my experience upon meeting Tabitha. I asked her honest opinion of my hair, thinking she’d probably recommend the works, but to my surprise she complimented how pretty it looked. :) She was so honest and said she was not just trying to make a buck, but she wanted to give me her honest opinion. She suggested I just wait and when I was ready I could do some toner after my roots grew out a bit. As soon as she said that I realized that maybe my hair did look great, and it was probably just the initial shock of going from dark to light. I have been known to be a bit dramatic :)
I mentioned I was also looking to fix my cut since I was going from a short cut trying to grow it out. She began to straighten my hair out to look at the cut and suggested we thin it out a bit on the ends. I must say that after the straightening and the thinning out my hair looked GREAT and it just took a little touching up by a professional. I was very pleased with my experience. As I went to grab my checkbook to pay, Tabitha said not to worry about it. I was shocked!
I was very happy with my experience at Tabitha’s Hair Studio, she was professional, pleasant and honest and told me exactly what I needed, and didn’t try to sell me unnecessary services or products. I highly recommend Tabitha’s Hair Studio, I will definitely be going back to her when I am ready for a cut and color.

If you are looking for a stylist that does color or a Brazilian Blowout, this is the place for you! I am a first time customer and went for highlights and a Brazilian Blowout. I couldn’t be more happy! My highlights look amazing and the change the Brazilian Blowout made in my hair is almost unbelievable! No more frizz, even in the San Antonio humidity. I have been highlighting my hair for over 10 years and am extremely picky, but Tabitha exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Tabitha and will definitely be returning!

I get my hair done by Tabitha every time I am in San Antonio (3 – 4 times a year). I have had cut, color, highlights, lowlights and Brazilian Blowout, all with excellent results. I keep my style in salon-​condition by using the products she recommends, this has made a big improvement in my hard to handle hair. I can’t imagine having to go anywhere else, (really like her new studio). Planning my next visit now!

I’ve been going to Tabitha for about 3 years now. She has cut my hair and my husbands. Don’t be fooled by her young appearance, she is as talented as they get. I love that she never seems to be rushing and I am always 100% satisfied with what ever she does. She is the type of stylist that you can trust to get it right. She is extremely detail oriented and knows her stuff. I also love that she is honest, in that if she doesn’t think a certain style will look good on you, she’s not afraid to let you know in a really nice tactful way. I haven’t personally gotten my color done w/​her, as I don’t color my hair, But I have several friends that do and their hair always looks fantastic and very natural. Her highlights are AWESOME! Anyways, if your looking for a new stylist that isn’t going to gouge you w/​salon prices, look no further than Tabitha. You will not regret it.
