Vacationing to texas all the years of my life, we always stopped here. It’s my uncles favorite taco place. Stopping here a few days ago upon my arrival to Tx, my mom and I grabbed some grub. it was nice we got to sit on the patio with my pup and eat. my mom got a sample platter, and I got chicken tacos. I wasn’t impressed by the chicken, it tasted like it was scraped out of a chimichanga. I ate most of my moms sample plate. she got a side of guac for $ 5 that we didn’t finish because it wasn’t that tasty. I’ll come back because I wanna try those breakfast tacos though.

We got the taco box this morning and majority of our tacos had a table spoon worth of food in them…

I moved from Tn to Tx few years ago. While I was there I went 2am and all different hours of the day and nights. Only problem I had was when I moved to Tx I was size eight when I move back to Tn I was size 16 wtf TC… Now I’m here in Tn missing you wanting to visit you again.

Okay I grew up in San Antonio and this is my ish. I really only ever get breakfast tacos here but they are always on point. Bean and cheese, potato and egg, bacon and egg… So gooood. I just bought 5 tacos for my brother and myself for $ 5.90. Can’t beat it for fast, fresh, Mexican tacos at least. Don’t know about they’re other items :)

Taco Cabana is the reason I can gain 10 lbs in a week when I visit family. This is fast food? I can be bougie. Ok, my tummy can be bougie and refuse fast food. But, dear Taco Cabana, you hold a special place in my heart. And, you know the way to a skinny girl’s heart is through her stomach. I don’t even run to the bathroom to throw up all the caloric intake guilt after my binge.

Ok, it’s fast food. I know, fast food shouldn’t ever get four stars, but FORFASTFOOD, it’s my drug and my favorite! Sometimes service can be slow, but I always deal because I love the 20% military discount!!! You just can’t touch that anywhere else. Taco Cabana is great because they are open 24 hours, they have a salsa bar, and you can even get a margarita here! Eat that, Taco Bell! And Taco Bell can keep their disgusting«pink slime»!!!

Very good! Ordered the steak fajita burrito for lunch today. It was the size of my fore arm and tasted great! The only disappointment was they have no hot sauces. I will have to bring my own Hot sauce next time.

Way above average for taco cabana, food was hot and fresh and the drive-through was professional and quick. I just finished a long hard day at work and a hot quick meal is so appreciated. I had the street tacos, my favorite I get them every time, and they did not disappoint this time either.

Breakfast tacos are great however their coffee is the worst coffee in the entire world. And it doesn’t matter which taco cabana you go to its gross regardless. They gotta change whatever recipe they are using.

After a long week and just needing a night in, we decided to go through the drive thru. Now I’m afraid I’ll never be able to convince my boyfriend, who had already had a few bad experiences, to eat at TC again. Here’s why: I was craving a good ol’ Cabana Bowl. It’s a mixture of everything that makes Tex-Mex great in one deliciously crisp tortilla bowl. I opted for the shredded chicken version and what did I get? 5 tiny, 1-inch pieces of chicken – that’s 5 pieces total! So my shredded chicken bowl was more like a vegetarian bowl. Okay, fine. But then it kept getting worse. We asked for a container of cilantro, thinking that shouldn’t be a hassle since it’s already cut up and waiting in the salsa bar. Alas, there was no such green herb to be found anywhere when we arrived home. There was also no big container of salsa as requested. The only thing we did get were 2 of the tiny containers of salsa, because they were thrown in at the last minute on our repeated asking to make sure we in fact received salsa. These were not outlandish requests and it was a Friday night, not 3pm on a Tuesday. What gives, TC?

Honestly, I practically live here. I work really close by; so this is my favorite place to swing by in the morning for my barbacoa taco. Or whatever else I may be feeling like. I have always had fabulous service and the food is better than other TC locations. The only con? They have been unusually slow lately.(But I do get apologized to!) I think there may be newer people just learning the ropes; so that’s to be expected. Besides waiting longer than I’d like to sometimes; it’s a great location and I will continue to go here.

Oh, how I love me some TC! Unfortunately, this location doesn’t do it for me. While the restaurant is well taken care of and clean, the service is abysmal. Each time I have gone there, drive-thru and eat-in, my small order seems to take an extremely long amount of time. Ok, so then it’s cooked to order, right? Wrong. Which brings me to my next point, food quality. It always appears my food is slapped together and thrown in the bag. Oftentimes, the texture and taste of my order is, uhm, unique. I was even turned away one morning when I wanted to order a taco box– not even my way, but the TC way! You’d expect at 7am they’d be ready for taco orders, but I guess I was wrong. I’ll stick with Panchitos, thank you!

Great Happy Hour! Food is nothing to write home about but would be really good after a whole pitcher of margaritas. Just sayin’!

I don’t understand all the hype from this place. It’s not even remotely close to Mexican food. Maybe I’m spoiled because my husband is Mexican and he knows how to cook the real thing but honestly the food from these restaurants are saturated in fat and the taste buds aren’t even rewarded. Spend your money on better Mexican restaurants in San Antonio.

Oh how I love thee TC’s. I’ve eaten steak fajitas tacos in many places, but for some reason this is my favorite place for those tacos. Love their super fresh pico de gallo. Service is fast and it’s a nice place.

Did I catch TC on a bad day? Did the cook wake up on the wrong side of the bed? I went through the drive-thru around 1:45pm on a Tuesday. I ordered a Mexican plate. That comes with 1 crispy taco, one cheese enchilada, rice, refried beans and 2 tortillas. The rice and beans had no flavor. Usually the refried beans have a garnish of shredded cheese. Not today. The 2 tortillas were just fine :-) The cheese enchilada was… interesting. the sauce had a lot of chili powder. Now don’t get me wrong, I love chili powder but this was waaaaaay too much. The red tortilla was a nasty texture. It was not soft but crumbly. The cheese was good so I just took it out and ate it. Overall, I was not happy with my meal. I will come back to try other items on the menu and maybe my experience would be better.

How this got to be a staple of San Antonio I have no idea. I get sick every time I eat here and I think I finally found the culprit. So since they are open 24⁄7 do you think they clean the salsa bar out ever? I think not. Someone just keeps pouring new salsa in as it gets low. That nasty stuff has been in there for 5 years with no one cleaning it. So now it cleans me out. lol
