Incredibly authentic Mexican food. The service is attentive but chill, the hot sauce is legitimately hot (ouch, but hurts so good) and the sauce on my cheese enchiladas made my boyfriend continually drag bits of tortilla in the sauce until it was all gone.
He had the carnitas, crunch and greasy and perfect (he said) and my enchiladas were superb. The beans and rice (by which I usually rate my restaurant) were top-​notch, flavorful but not oily.
I want to return, every single time I visit San Antonio. Huasteca, I love you, and I’m not too shy to admit it.

Hard to believe I’m the first review for this place cause it totally rocks. I was just passing by the place today looking for a fruit cup to take to my woman and saw the sign and it just happens to be her favorite fruit cup ever… I also got some potato and cheese tacos for us to share and the homemade tortillas put it over the top! If your in the area and need some bad ass tacos this is the place.

I’m back, once more stopping in after a long bus ride. I ordered the mini taquitos with lengua (tongue). They came with charro beans, and I added an order of rice on the side because the rice here is usually quite good. Everything was excellent! Taquitos were delicious and well stuffed, and the rice and beans were also very good. Other than one other couple, I was alone in the cool dining room. More people need to check this place out!
