I have been twice now that I know it’s open regularly and enjoyed both experiences. First time was for takeout. I’ve had red and green curry, pineapple fried rice seaweed salad and pad Thai. Absolutely no complaints. The 2nd visit I dined in and the service was great! I wish they had more business.

This place really deserves more business. Their food is really delicious(would highly recommend the spring rolls, yellow curry or phở). Their wait staff is so friendly and they have a charming little restaurant. If you haven’t tried it, give it a chance.

Not impressed. The pad woonsen was rather flavorless. The cucumber salad was not marinated when we got takeout. The satay was not wonderful. And everything else was just average.

Amazing food and wonderful service. The red curry is truly to die for – best I’ve ever had. The only reason I’m only giving 4 stars is because they seem to be closed during regular business hours every time I go by. I wish they’d open up more often because my family adores coming here!

I live a couple blocks away & I’ve been curious about this place for a little while now. Today I finally had a chance to stop by and check it out. I walked on over to the restaurant to grab a little snack to go, despite the 100 degree weather and hot ass Texas sun… need to work on my tan anyways lol. & I must admit I was very pleased & plan on going back tomorrow! Service was great. Very friendly people. Restaurant is very small but it’s sooo cute I love the red & black. cool looking chairs also. Vietnamese eggrolls were delicious. Fried perfectly & stuffed with a delicious filling. Accompanying sauce was yummy & sweet. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the menu is all about:)

I’ve eaten at the one downtown, which was delicious. However, I just noticed this location was opened from 11 am — 3 pm, so I decided to try it out. I was disappointed greatly. I ordered my usual thai crispy egg rolls, which were actually perfectly fried and crispy. I usually order the chicken pad thai and beef pad sa-si-ew. However, they were really dry and not flavorful at all. I ordered them both medium spicy as well. I guess I will have to go downtown every time I want thai lao orchid. Might try it again and hope that it’s better.

Meh. I was excited to see a new Thai place open in our neighborhood… there are a few, but all are equally meh. None good or outstanding. Sadly, Thai Lao is on par with the others… in a meh way. I ordered Pad Thai and tofu green curry to go. The Pad Thai was a bright orange color, very greasy, and overcooked noodles & chicken. I wouldn’t order it from Thai Lao… ever again. The green curry looked thin with little veggies, tofu, or flavor(tasted purely like coconut milk). I sprinkled some red pepper on it & let it sit in the frig a few days… edible, more flavor, much better! Still not near the best it can be/in town(Thai Taste, in my opinion). The spring rolls were also below meh status… crunchy, but little filling, pork or flavor. Plenty of parking in the strip center; restaurant looked simple but clean(& empty for 6pm).

Delicious! I’ve had the pad thai with tofu and the garlic veggie dish and both were excellent. Everything is always very fresh an cooked to perfection! I could eat here every day!

After almost 0 sleep, a full day in the lab, and multiple upcoming tests, I was incredibly hungry by the end of the day. So, after my usual Starbucks Study Sesh, I decided to get some comfort food in the form of Pad Thai, Tom Kha, and Thai Bubble Tea. For starters, the place was nice looking. I never really go into an Asian restaurant hoping for some sense of ambiance, so I’ll give them props for purchasing cool looking chairs. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai(~$ 10.99), Tom Kha(~$ 5.50), and a Thai Ice Tea with Boba(~$ 4.50). I ended up paying about $ 21.00, which was a bit more than I was expecting, but I suppose thats what you get for ordering hangry. For the price, I thought there was enough Pad Thai. I ate a majority of it that night and had enough left over for lunch the next day. It was delicious with just a hint of spice. I did get this all to-go, and was surprised that they didn’t ask what spice level I wanted, but they included 3 of those little to-go condiment container things with some hot oil, sriracha, and red pepper flakes. The Tom Kha broth was great, I just wish I got more. Maybe had I eaten in, I would’ve gotten a nice portion. Also, I maybe got like 2 pieces of chicken, and I really hate paying for just broth regardless of how great it was. I was really excited about the boba tea, reading that the boba was cooked to perfection, but was let down after biting into some that were hard in the center. Maybe because it was at the end of the day already? Before this turns into a novel, I give this place 3 stars. Good Thai food and great location, so I’d definitely come back if I was in the area, but I’d need to give it a 2nd chance and actually dine-in to see if portion size and service really make the food worth the prices.

Ordered the chicken pad Thai… Was not pleased. I have tried much better, yet this was one of the priciest. Not worth it. The waiter was really nice, though. Likely would not come back again.

5 stars for food! The fiancé and I shared taro bubble tea, chicken satay, chicken pad thai, and red curry. Everything was really delicious! The satay came with a rich peanut and light cucumber vinegar sauces. Bubble tea tapioca pearls were perfectly soft and chewy– very rarely encountered here in San Antonio. Yep definitely making this my go-to thai place except… 3 stars for price… The pad thai was $ 12. It was an average portion and excellently prepared, but I’ve never been charged more than $ 10(at most!!) for this dish. Also, it costs $ 1 for each additional small bowl of rice. The amount of red curry probably warranted +$ 6 bowls of rice. Too much!

Noticed this place on the way to a doctor’s appointment. Conveniently located near the medical center. I guess it just recently opened. They serve primarily Thai dishes but also have sushi and Vietnamese food. First off the service was phenomenal. Our waiter was very kind and took great care of us. The food was good. Not the best of Thai food but definitely one of the better Thai restaurants in the area. I loved the bubble tea, the bubbles/boba were perfectly cooked. Sometimes it can be undercooked and be hard or chewy. Not here, they did a good job. My mother enjoyed her Tom Yum soup. We ordered the pad thai and pad sa-si-ew as our lunch main course. Both were flavorful but had a little too much sauce on them. But honestly I’d rather them put too much than not enough which seems to be the case at the other nearby Thai restaurants. We ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls Togo. They were pretty good. They come with the more traditional Vietnamese egg roll skin which I prefer but the sauce was a little too sweet and the flavor was more like regular egg rolls as opposed to traditional Vietnamese egg rolls . I’d definitely come back if not for the service alone.
