Do not, under any circumstances be convinced into driving out to The Bridal Salon Of San Antonio’s «new location» in Bulverde, Tx. This is a small old rock HOME in the middle of nowhere, with an old sign from the salon thrown on the front porch. The entire location gave us the total creeps. We locked the car doors, put it in reverse, and got the heck out of there as fast as we could. We felt so deceived by the owner and mislead about her«new salon».

I attempted to come here to look at wedding dresses before Christmas. They called me the day before the appointment to ask me if I wanted to cancel my appointment since everyone else that day was cancelling. I told them that I was coming in from out of town as were my 3 sisters and mother so, no we would be coming in. She yelled my response to her manager. Then I hear the manager yell back, «Well she can’t come anymore because we are closing for the day». The girl on the phone informed me that now they were closing and I would have to reschedule for another day. The whole thing was handled so unprofessionally that I decided I didn’t want to have to deal with people like that in the event I did find my wedding dress and possibly have fittings cancelled and stress me out before the wedding. I told her that I wouldn’t be rescheduling and the girl really didn’t seem to care one way or another. Found a perfect dress elsewhere!

There wasn’t a lot of selection to choose from, and they are mostly vintage looking beautiful dresses. We were looking for a beaded, lace a line dress, but they didn’t really have any. They have higher end designers, so we didn’t see a whole lot within our $ 1500 price range. The consultants were friendly. They had a cool cross thing for the ceremony signifying the wedding covenant.

I should preface this review by saying I was really dreading shopping for a wedding dress. The ladies at The Bridal Salon assuaged any anxiety I might’ve had. I really enjoyed my experience here. It was my mom and I’s first stop on a day filled with tulle, chiffon, and petticoats and I scheduled an appointment in advance. I received a complete 1:1 experience with both the associate and the store owner. She really knew her stuff! She was able to offer plenty of insight on how dress ordering and alterations work(I was totally clueless). Of all the stores we visited this day, their selection was smallest, but it was well-curated. Because of that, I still felt like there were plenty of dresses to try on. Also, it wasn’t necessarily cheap on the price side, but they certainly have affordable options. You can find a dress here for under $ 2,000, or a more expensive one if you have the budget. I’m not sure if I’ll end up buying my dress here, but I certainly found a front-runner! I have some more time to decide, but look forward to going back and visiting these spunky ladies to make my decision!
