I lived here when it was bluebonnet hills for 5.5 years with no complaints. Since the new owner and property management took over, it’s been a total shit show. I couldn’t wait to leave after 6 months of dealing with them. I had squirrels in the attic above my bed that woke me up all night for months. The exterminator didn’t address them until rain from the leaky roof caused the CEILINGTOCAVEIN and they were granted direct access to my apartment. Their maintenance man did a horrible job cleaning it up and left wet, moldy sheetrock and insulation everywhere. I was not offered a rent reduction or reimbursement for the water damage caused by their negligence by leaving the roof unfinished for weeks. Office staff will lie to you to get you to leave them alone. Document every conversation you have with them and insist they sign a copy for you to keep. You will need the copies when they claim your paperwork is ‘not in their system’. Took 4 days to fix a broken A/C. INJULY. It was replaced the same day I insisted they send me to a hotel until it was fixed. Unexplained late fees on my account when everything was paid on time. Mail boxes were vandalized several times. Do not leave mail in your mailbox overnight or it may be stolen. Office staff is unfriendly at best and often not in the office. They never remember who you are and have no authority to help you anyway. They always have to talk to a manager and get back to you, which they never do. Emails are rarely responded to. I heard they have a really nice, upgraded unit to show potential renters and then dump you in a crappy unit in the back of the property. Took away the after hours rent check drop box and charge you to use the online payment system. Garbage overflows from dumpsters all over the place. Trash truck sometimes comes on Saturday before 9am. Hope you don’t like sleeping in! When I reported burnt out security lights, I was told replacement would take a while because they were replacing the fixtures, which never happened. New paint is hideous. Dog shit is everywhere after only 6 months allowing pets on the property. This place was always an old dump but Keller Management destroyed all the redeeming qualities. DONOTRENTHERE!

Whatever you are looking for with regard to an apartment, I can assure you that The Row(better named Skid Row) is suitable only for those who wish to reside in a living hell. Having lived here for 12 years(and soon to leave along with many others), first by wonderful owners and now by Satan’s children, everything from the recent paint job to management’s indifferent and predatory style is reflective of a company that has no interest whatsoever in caring for its tenants. Well, there may be one good thing about The Row; there are many vacancies with many more to come!

Why the heck did you paint everything suck awful colors. I could live with the gray, but YELLOW? And then you couldn’t even pick an orange that matched the yellow. Unbelievable. Who picked this color scheme and how long have they been blind?

The Row rocks. I started living here earlier this year before the new management took it over. I loved both Blue Bonnet Hills and now The Row is becoming better. The management and maintenance has changed, however, I think it has changed for the better. My maintenance requests(which are minimal anyways) are answered in the same day I place the request, the office staff are friendly and easy to work with, and I love my neighbors and everyone in our community. There is a great mixture of college students and families, which I appreciate. I live near the pool and during the summer, there is hardly any noise in the evenings. I’ve never been worried about my safety and I always know the complex is out for my best interest. Out of all the places I’ve rented over the past few years, I love living here and I do not anticipate leaving anytime soon!

Current resident reporting in. I moved in when it was Bluebonnet Hills. So far, I love it here. It is walking distance to the UTSA shuttle, and the 605 bus route is right outside the complex. Easy access to 1604 and 10. Neighbors are quiet and friendly. Maintenance requests get taken care of in less than 24 hours. Office staff makes an effort to learn your name and take good care of you. Rent is reasonable. Water is allocated, so I feel the water bill is a bit high every month, but the low rent makes up for it. Quarter laundry on site, $ 1.25 wash, $ 1.25 dry. Also a little expensive, considering the dated machines and the fact that the water used is included in my allocated water bill. Apartments do have W/D hookups on outside patio, I just choose not to rent a washer/dryer. Knocked one star off because of the design choices made when this complex transitioned from Bluebonnet Hills to The Row. The paint color scheme is gaudy as hell. I don’t know what architect let his 2-year-old color all over his design blueprints, because that’s certainly what it looks like. Bright orange and sunshine yellow accents? It’s embarrassingly ugly. Bluebonnet Hills had a wonderful, small-community, homey feel to it. I’m worried that The Row is trying to make this a «hip» spot. It just isn’t. These are older buildings that(had) great character. This is a quiet community for adults– not many students here. I’m worried that the ultimate goal of The Row is to raise rent prices and appeal to the student crowd. At this time, they are only about 2 months in to renovations. I will update this review as things develop. I love my apartment, and I hope that management’s poor renovation choices don’t change my satisfaction here. As it stands right now, I love this property. It’s NW San Antonio’s best kept secret.
