My daughter has ridden here for over 3 years and it has been an up and down experience. In the beginning she had a great instructor, but over time all of her instructors kept leaving very suddenly and with no notice. We always felt like we were ‘settling’ with these stables. They have never been very professional, regularly mixing up lesson times, forgetting lessons, not having horses properly scheduled, and not allowing us to schedule regular lesson times so our schedule was always changing which is very inconvenient. This summer we decided to try other stables and have now had very positive experiences with both Oakwell Farms and Limmerick Stables. Overall I would say that if the location is convenient for you and your child is a beginner, it’s not a bad option, just know that sooner or later you’ll get fed up. And if you want your child to advance and be able to compete at shows, I suggest going somewhere else as we have now been told by two different stables that our daughter should be much further in her training than she is, but that they weren’t surprised given the inconsistency of her trainers at Turkey Creek.

I’ve been going to Turkey Creek Stables for about a year now. The instructor I had moved to Limerick Stables. From what I’ve heard from SEVERAL friends is that you should go to Limerick if you want to really improve your riding. Overall Turkey Creek is a great stable if you want to take your time and just learn to ride. I have yet to tack up and groom my own horse so if you want to learn the whole package, Limerick for sure.

I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and my private lesson. I wish we had time to cover more aspects but I am happy we were able to accelerate the lesson due to previous experience. It’s $ 30 for a half hour lesson. It was nice they had same day availability. I would consider going back.

Really love this comfortable atmosphere. The instructors are also very nice! It’s not fancy, but that’s what makes it a lot easier to learn and keep you relaxed around the horses.
