Way to smoke filled for me. Love my brothers and sisters at the V. But I could only take about 15 minutes of inhaling that stuff. Think I will stay with my old post and commute when I want.

«Where everybody knows your name…» Pretty much! My husband joined this post yesterday, after belonging to various posts while at AF stations. It’s literally down the street from us and we discovered it when we moved here in November. It is an open post so you don’t have to be military to come & enjoy a few cold ones. We were introduced to probably 5 members who we immediately got to know. They even remembered our names as we made our«good bye» rounds 3 hours later. (I was a member of a church for 2 years and no one ever remembered us… Every week«are you new?» LOL) A few things we learned: — don’t be scared off if you see a ton of cars; the bar isn’t packed… There is a soccer field in the back and a league plays there — the patio has speakers… You may have to ask for them to be turned on(bonus: juke box inside :-)) — there is a banquet hall for gatherings and weddings… Again: open to the public — there are free pool days(1 pool table) — there are karaōke nights — they are looking into having a fully operational kitchen, for now it’s microwavable food — if you’re member, meetings are the 2nd Monday of each month(7pm I believe) — you can join in person… Just ask the bartender for a form — they have holiday events and various fundraisers; typically free food is provided — they have football specials(food provided or raffles, etc) — CASHONLY for individual beverages… There is an ATM in the building(you can open a tab w/a card– Discover, MC, Visa) — smoking is allowed — dress however you want: this place is like your grandmothers basement(and I mean that in a good way… It’s a total hang out). They have some computer bar-type games. A handful of TVs; plenty of chairs & tables; good size bar. Beer is cheap CHEAP cheap, so drink up. Don’t come in here looking for craft beers… It’s your standard Coors Light, Natty, Shiner, Bud Light, etc. Sometimes they have«airplane bottles» of wine. You can bring your own booze … 1. Be prepared to share 2. You must buy mixers from the bar to be fair Bathrooms are clean and not just a «onesie».
