Westcreek Trail Rides

Such a fun experience! My husband surprised me for Valentine’s Day by taking me here because I love horses and wanted to try it out since we recently moved to San Antonio. The lady who checked us in was very nice and they give you a quick safety instruction and assigned each person to a horse. The trail ride was very peaceful and the weather was a little cool because we did the 9:00am ride but after 30 min the sun came out and made it better. My horse was very well behaved and sweet. Overall, good experience I recommend it to anyone.

My mom bought this on groupon for my birthday, so for the weeks leading up she called to see if she could make reservations and the caller every number they told her to and texted another number and still no reply. So we went up there and as soon as we pulled up it was completely filthy and the horses looked uncared for and things were falling apart. We continued to walk up to ask if we could make reservations for the next day and my mom told her we called various times and as soon as my mom said that she accused my mom of not listening to the message and my mom continued by saying that she did and she called and texted those numbers too and the lady said well we called back everyone and was just very rude. After that she told us they’d been having phone problems and they got 3 new phones in the past week, but she still acted like it was our fault. Just flat out was so disrespectful and I really can’t believe anyone is saying they were friendly. We asked if we could reserve for tomorrow (Monday) and they weren’t open on Mondays which is fine, but on the website it didn’t say that anywhere and we could’ve known that if she called back or at least apologized for the broken phone. Overall terrible experience. I would give 0 stars if I could.

This place is excellent and we had too much fun today. It was one hour trail ride on horses. Views was specular and we also saw deers on the way. Owners are so nice and make sure you enjoy your ride. We will definitely be going back.

Did this yesterday with my wife and daughter (10). We were all absolute beginners but had a really good time. Ashton was our lead guide. She was great with the horses. I wish there was a little more interaction between guides and riders or talk of some kind but otherwise it was a muddy but fun day. Would recommend. Next time we will try to book more people so we get the ride for $ 30 instead of $ 40.

During our trip to San Antonio we thought it might be fun to take a trail ride. We called up Westcreek and spoke to Lana. She was very nice, she booked our spot and even gave us a discount. All of the horses were beautiful and had tons of personality. The trail guide was very nice and allowed us to have fun on the horses instead of keeping us in a tight, single file line. We felt like we got to experience the horse’s true personalities. I would absolutely recommend this horse riding experience – it was so much fun!

The horses are great as are the people who work there. The petting zoo/​play area is a little lacking so i wouldn’t really recommend it for kids parties, not for the price they are asking. The trails are really nice and it is a wonderful way to get out of the house, either with your family or alone, and just relax.

Great experience overall. Needed to wait ~15 minutes past the scheduled appointment time because the business was waiting on 2 groups who never showed up but other than that, everything else was excellent. The staff was very friendly and professional. Spanish speaking staff available. Great for beginners.
