Go out of my way to come here sometimes, if you like Mexican street style food/treats I’d def recommend trying it.

Great place that’s locally owned on the Westside. Has some healthy fare(sandwiches) as well as not-too-healthy fare(hamburgers). Good option and highly recommended.

There are far better options near here with cheaper prices. It’s basically just concession stand food but somehow it’s still not that great. Particularly the mangonadas. like where’s the mango?

This is a little place doing all the little things right. The mexican icecream with the mexican restaurant together is probably not a common site. Here in San Antonio or Mexico but I for one can appreciate it. Lets start with the icecream. First of all its homemade! Second its made mexican style. Very creamy and delicious. We ordered three different flavors and all of them were amazing. As far as the food. Its pretty simple. They dont cook it till you order it. I can tell the ingredients were fresh. Also the cook has a good hand. Those three things usually add up to good food. No matter what your cooking. I would definitely recommend this place.

We had a Mexicali burger and Chicken Asado Torta, plus fries and rings, and ice creams. Everything was super fresh, from scratch, and home made. Great flavors. Will definitely be going back. Soon.

Total hidden gem on the Westside! This is a local spot, where you can get a lot of good foods, drinks, and ice creams all freshly made. I’ve had the Mexicali Burger twice now and man-o-man is it good! I love it. It is a burger with cheese, bacon, avocado, jalapenos, mayo, I want to say there is some chamoy sauce on there as well! I’ve also tried the Breakfast Torta which is also amazing!!! The food is reasonably priced as well. I bought lunch for three people for twenty bucks! Did I mention that everyone was pleased with their food and is bugging me to take them back? Because that is totally happening. This place is worth the trip to the westside! You’ll probably see me there!

A++ Great place! Take debit/crefit cards! Had a Cheeseburger, banana strawberry, coconut smoothie, and a frito pie! Totally hit the spot! The owner even gave me my money back bc the frito pie should of came with 2 bags of fritos. I wouldnt have known– appreciate the honesty! Gave her back half the money– I did eat half the order! Only con is the hours sometimes they don’t open on time or open at all.

Their motto is «Sweet Side of the West Side,» but unfortunately, I didn’t get to try any of their raspas on my visit. I did, however, get to try my very first Russa– grapefruit soda with orange and pineapple chunks, topped with chili powder. It’s obviously not for everyone, but I like it. I also like that they serve breakfast tacos all day. This is a fine spot if your looking for a basic American or Mexican lunchtime stop. They do decent renditions of the usuals– burgers, taquitos, BLTs– but they also have a few fun, more unique items– a breakfast torta, the aforementioned Russa. Next time I’m in the area I plan to stop by and try the Angelito, which is a raspa with cinnamon-milk-syrup topped with vanilla ice cream. Yum.
