Golden $5 Pizza

I ordered on the phone and the guy was nice and repeated the order just make it was correct. This place is in the same plaza as the 99 cent store.
I ordered a $ 5 large pizza with mushroom, jalapeño, and beef. House club sandwich, and mild buffalo wings.
The pizza is really good for $ 5, tons better than the little Caesar $ 5 pizza. The sandwich it’s pretty good and the bread seems like it’s really well home made. Much better than subway bread. The buffalo wing were not bad as well. Ended up being $ 23 dollars to feed 3 people.
Tl;dr this place has food service and the food is good for it’s price.

The worst tasting pizza I’ve ever had in my life. The crust tasted like straight cardboard. Like it was straight from the freezer with no rise to the crust. Cheese tasted like vegan cheese. Not sure it even was cheese. Service was not horrible but not great either. The surrounding area looked like I would be getting robbed if I stayed any longer than I did. The only reason they get a second star is because I’ve only tasted the pizza nothing else. I will NEVER waste my money here again.

No, no, no. I will never go here again. I thought the one on highland was scary. I literally almost asked for my money back because I was scared in there. There were homeless people inside talking to themselves, other people who I couldn’t quite tell if they were homeless but I was thinking they were going to ask me for money. The parking lot was scary too. Considering it’s next to the «projects,» I shouldn’t have expected anything different. Anyway, to make it worse, there was trash everywhere which went well with the homeless people. The way the place looked, I was actually thinking that the food might not be safe. In addition, the people that work there aren’t pleasant. I get it, you have to act a certain way so the ghetto people don’t f*ck with you… but when I walk in in slacks and a blouse with a work badge on, you’d think they wouldn’t act like I was a burden on their day. I was asking the girl if the Colton location is theirs as well and if they are actually all owned by the same people. She seemed very annoyed by my questions. Bad idea considering I work in the area and I have a lot of hungry coworkers and it’s not uncommon for us to order pizza… be nice to your customers because they can bring you a lot of new and repeat business through word of mouth.
On to the food. NO. I called earlier in the day to ask if the food was exactly like the place on Highland and they said yes. I chose to go here because it’s on my way home. Well, I get the food and it looks different and tastes different. I ordered a large 2 topping pizza with extra cheese, bread sticks, chicken wings, 2 extra ranch, and a soda. That came to $ 17 with the coupon on my Stater Bros receipt for a large 1 topping, bread sticks and soda for $ 6. This place has thicker crust and they don’t put the garlic butter stuff on the crust (which is one of the reasons I like the pizza). They didn’t put nearly as much extra cheese as the other place. They only gave me 9 chicken wings instead of 10 (don’t act like I’m not going to count!)
For my safety, and because the food wasn’t nearly as good as the other place, I will NEVER be coming back here. I can deal with semi rude people in that kind of place but they really should have some pride in their establishment and sweep the floor. How can you expect ANYONE to respect your establishment when you clearly don’t respect it yourself?

It is what it is, cheap and good deals, with super economical prices, yet delicious. Not much more needs to be said.

nice priced pizza, although the crust is a little thin, but they more then make up for it by the fact that you can choose your topping, their sides are nice too, and while i wait i usually get some of their ice cream, or a icee, location not that great but food is, and the guys at the counter are quick at getting your drinks/​ice cream.

Great pizza for the price. Toppings are fresh! Maybe not the best neighborhood but the quality and value are incredible! While most places are slowly raising their prices, Golden remains the champ. Great staff as well!
