Back in the day this place used to be bomb! But now I will never go back to this location! Service was bad, speaker didn’t work, had to drive up to the window, order and wait. Ordered a kids meal for my 9yr old daughter(bean/cheese burrito, fries, drink and a churro.) the burrito was so small I don’t even think it would fill a 3yr old toddler let alone my 9 year old.(Refer to pics to see how small) the tortilla had to have been home made because I’ve never seen a tortilla so small!(Joking) fries sucked, and churro was so hard I could have used it as a baseball bat if it was longer!!! If I could have chose no stars I would have!

Man this place sucks! DRIVE thru line takes WAY too long. Took me 10 mins just to get to the speaker. From start to end I spent 20 mins in the drive thru line. Only thing that was fast was placing my order… asada burrito, done. As I get to the window the girl was kinda straight forward. Just told me my total and nothing else. Most places will give you a «hey how’s it going» at least. kinda caught me off guard. She asks for my card and ID and then walks off with both. she hands me my food and gets bothered when I ask for salsa. when she hands my cards back she drops my debit card and it rolls under my car! wtf! Really! all she said was Her: uhhh I dropped your card. (Really? Not even a my bad? Sorry? Nothing?) Me: Yeah I can see that. Her: well, it’s just right there you can reach it. I shoulda made her ass get the Damn card… great customer service S. Aside from the crappy service food is ok. Much rather go to the other amapola(the cage) down the street.(oh and it’s drive THRU, not drive IN… idiots.)

This USE to be one of the best places around town. Had family members come from out of town to get an Amapola burrito, but sadly those days are long gone. Customer service has gone down tremendously! They always seem to get order wrong in some way. I even repeated the order to the girl at the window to make sure she had it right and she sheepishly said yes and guess what?.. It was still wrong! I’ll spend my money else where from now on. Unless I’m close to Del Rosa location. That one has great customer service, always delicious food, and order has always been correct!!!

This place is a terrible excuse for a restaurant. After reading the reviews, I’m glad the drive through attendant can’t take an order correctly. It was so bad that it got to the point that we had to reverse out of the drive through. Sign says established in 1975, don’t know how they have been in business so long. Didn’t taste the food, but if the service is any indication, this place is totally sub standard. You have been warned

Super slow drive thru. Worker(female)at the window not giving a dam about speed. Food wasn’t all that great. Tonys Mexican food is better and way cheaper.

Love this place. It’s a must have every time I visit my other half’s home. I don’t know why the stars are so low. It’s like actual Mexican food, but drive through. Not fake like Taco Bell. So if you want a quick on the go Mexican fix this is the perfect place.

The food is good for what it is. Fast and cheap Mexican food to go 24 hours a day, nothing special. Here’s a little adventure from my last visit if you wish to continue reading: This past Sunday, 1÷25÷15, my old lady and I dined in after 8 pm and due to my error, I forgot my phone on the chair I was sitting next to. Ten minutes later on the ride home I noticed I had forgotten it and we instantly called to see if it was still there. We called twice and it rang both times. To save us some trouble just in case someone would walk by and pick it up, we called the restaurant so they may be kind enough to hold it for me. As soon as we asked if they could check the chair for the phone they said they saw nothing, instantly. Not suspicious at all right? So we called the phone again and it went straight to voicemail; it had been shut off. We call the restaurant again to make sure they haven’t seen anything happen and left a call back number. They have cameras everywhere but according to the employee, only the owner has access to them so I would have to call back the next day. Luckily it was an iPhone so that the findmyiphone feature could be used to wipe the data on the phone and find the last location of it when it was last seen. About an hour later it was turned on and to no avail, I couldn’t get to the person with my phone. The next day I call and I am told I have to call the corporate office. I get the number and call. No one picks up and I leave a message. I receive a call the next day but miss it due to not having my voicemail being set up on my NEW phone I had to purchase. I call back and receive no answer. It is not until FRIDAY I finally get ahold of someone at corporate. She is very helpful and got right to work looking at the camera footage from the Sunday evening. A few hours later I receive a call back to my surprise, she found an employee take my phone. They fired him instantly and actually got my phone returned. It’s in my possession now thankfully in one piece even with the phone case intact. Point of the long rant is do you want people like these making and serving your food? I know it’s San Bernardino but you need to have some standards.

The two stars are for the food. This place never really lets down on the food aspect. However the reason for this review is because of the horrible customer service I just experienced. I ordered the carne asada fries and was asked THREETIMES if I wanted nacho cheese or shredded cheese. To which I responded THREETIMES with shredded cheese. So I pay for my fries and go all the way home only to find out that there’s nacho cheese all over the fries. Being that I hate nacho cheese, I decided to inconveniently go back to receive what I originally ordered. This is already annoying as it is, but whatever mistakes happen and I wanted the right order since I couldn’t bring myself to eat the nacho cheese. A simple apology and maybe a complimentary drink or dessert or something for my inconvenience would have fixed the problem and I would have been happy. Too bad that’s the exact opposite of what I got. Not once did this rude, unhappy girl ever apologize to me or even thank me for my business. I don’t do this at all because I hate when people only write negative reviews but I was so disgusted by the way that MYRA handled this situation that I can’t let it go. She really needs to either find a different job where she can sit in a corner and count rocks, or get her act together and learn some hospitality. She needs to learn how to smile and act like she actually appreciates and likes her job regardless of whether she does or not. I don’t think she grasps the concept that without customers, she doesn’t get paid. So dealing with people the way she does, is only gonna end up hurting her own pockets in the long run. I can’t get over how rude she was and I will not be returning to Amapola because of her. She had the nerve to try and argue with me over the fact that she messed up on my order. And I’m also a little grossed out by the fact that she rudely asked me for the messed up order of fries back. What is she gonna do re-use them? How does she know if I touched them or not? Not that I wanted them, I would have thrown them away or given them to the homeless man that was asking me for money while sitting in the drive thru, but what good could they possibly be for the restaurant? Anyway, my rant is over, MYRA is horrible and needs an attitude change!

I’ve been coming here for years. I mean seriously since I was a child. Food has been consistently good and more than that okay customer service. Now, the food is sometime-y but they have always been willing to correct mistakes. So tonight… some child named Edgar actually decides he is going to argue with me as to whether or not I said«no lettuce». Far be it from hm to make a mistake since he is obviously a pro because he has being doing this for over 2 seconds. Mind you, I ordered everything with no lettuce. I order from here all the time and NEVER order lettuce on anything. Add to that, nothing else in my receipt has lettuce. Management needs to school these kids they bring in because they will lose business. Not because of the food but because of the customer service. I detest McDonald’s but I will go there for my late night food needs before I will go back here. You need better customer service if you’re going to stay relevant.

Used to be good then they changed managment and it’s pretty sorry now. The burrito’s are way too costly and arent’ even that big. It’s just such a rip off! My whole family agrees.

As I was looking for an entirely different restaurant, I drove right on by this place. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find the original restaurant I was looking for, and since San Bernardino isn’t a place you wonder around aimlessly, I was able to fall back on Amapola, which was even better since it was on my way back to work. Because I was in a hurry, I went through the drive-thru since my lunch hour was slowly dwindling. I ordered the shredded beef crispy taco and the carnitas soft taco. To be honest, I wasn’t that moved by the crispy taco. It was good, but not curl my toes good, if you know what I’m saying. The shell was a little on the greasy side, and it seemed a bit overcooked. The meat was also a little on the dry side. I fared much worse with my carnitas soft taco. While it was piled high with carnitas, which is great, it was soaked, and I mean soaked, in this 18-molar, sour tasting picante sauce, which totally killed it for me. I wasn’t able to finish the taco, it was so overwhelming. It has a sizeable menu, so there are plenty of others things for me try if I should try this place again.
