Avalon Shutters

From my experience, Avalon Shutters has the worst quality shutters and worst customer service you will experience. They will sell you a bill of goods and not do the right thing once they take your MONEY!
I had $ 6,000 worth of shutters installed throughout my home from Avalon Shutters in November 2015. Within days in November 2015 they were called to come out because the shutters hung on my bedroom patio door simply dangled and flopped (first red flag) — they add magnets to secure the doors.
December 2015, they were called to come out again and replace some horizontal louvers because they were not all the same width (2^nd red flag). The service person apologized and ordered new ones.
January 2016 I noticed that paint on one of the shutters was cracking and I contacted Avalon Shutters for the 3^rd time. They had a repair person come out touch up all the shutters that had paint lifting (keep in mind, it has been 2 months since the shutters were installed!!!) and they informed me they would not fix the large shutter because it looked like rain damage. Rain Damage!!! Are you kidding me… the blinds were installed in November 2015 and in 2 months rain damaged them! We had 2 days of rain in December and you’re telling me that rain super naturally blew threw a closed window, landed on the outside of the shutter and then damaged it — all in 2 days!!! No way.
The Bottom line is the quality of the product is not as good as the sales person sells you on. They are not going to do any repairs once they get your money, so go someplace else. I have learned my lesson. I threw $ 6000 out the window with these inferior quality shutters, should have stayed with JC Penney, at least the wood stood up for over 20 years!!!
Disappointed in the Beach Cities.

Just had some shutters installed in our bathroom. They look great, the color matches perfectly. So happy we ordered more shutters for the bedroom!
