The Salvation Army

I’m not sure where the best place is to write this review, but it’s for the guys who came out to pick up my Salvation Army donations today. They said they work for the San Bernardino County Salvation Army, and the receipt they gave me was from the adult rehabilitation center at this address. I just felt compelled to write this review because I had read so many terrible ones about the Salvation Army pick-​up guys not showing up, refusing donations because they didn’t want to carry heavy stuff, being rude, etc. So I was actually half expecting them not to show up, and I was already trying to decide what to do with the many donations they would surely refuse. I was seriously shocked by how different my experience was from that of other reviewers! The two pick-​up guys showed up around noon with a big smile, and they were so amazingly nice, cheerful, and efficient! They were in and out of my apartment within 10 minutes, and they gladly took everything I donated, including very heavy and unwieldy furniture that was not in pristine condition. They could see that I was moving, and they even asked if there was anything else they could get out of the way for me! They whistled while they worked, and they were all smiles the whole way through. It was a wonderful experience, so I just wanted to write this review to tell Unilocalers not to be afraid to donate to the San Bernardino County Salvation Army, and to tell the organization to keep up the excellent work!
