Burlingame Trolley

Looks like a handful have gotten crappy service as well. I was told that the service was only for people at hotels. Guy didn’t want to take from the hotel to downtown Burlingame despite the schedule. Super rude. Called the phone number on the car. Got no help. Change your attitude or I will be writing to the city of burlingame. I’ll try again later

Very inconsistent. Went to downtown Burlingame from Broadway was fine & on time. On the way home, we went to the Burlingame train station to wait, one came by and said it didn’t drop off at Broadway — fine. We’ll wait for the next. Never showed up. Had to spend $ 11 on an suv über since we had our kids with us.

The ride from the hotel was fine, no problem. But on the way back, the shuttle was full and he said we had to wait for the next shuttle, which would have been a full hour later. This wouldn’t have been a big deal if everything in Burlingame didn’t close at 8 PM. Also, the driver seems overworked and not equipped to handle the customer service duties necessary drive the trolley. This is a great idea in theory, but in practice there are details that need to be sorted out such that 6+ people can’t manage to get onto a trolley that runs so infrequently. I hope it gets better when they implement the red line and the dependence isn’t so high.

Waited over an hour until we got picked up by the driver who wasnt friendly; didn’t talk, and just dove my boyfriend and i back to the hotel. We waited for bus at J Lot at Berlingame shopping area at 12:20 and no bus came by. Then we waited at the Caltrain, and it didn’t show up until after 1:15, so 1:25. I would have gave tip if I didn’t need to wait an hour if the bus came on the first run. I understand its free, but my boyfriend and I walked an hour from the hotel to that area for breakfast since they didn’t have one running this morning. Glad the bus came when it did because I didn’t want to walk another hour since today’s my birthday.

I got picked up at the Doubletree Hotel, Burlingame, on Saturday, December 13, 2014. We left the Doubletree Hotel at 1:13PM. Our driver had the personality of a rock. I asked him what had happened to the «cute» trolley vehicle I had seen before. He acted like I was from outer space asking such a question. I never got the answer. The ride went fine. We pulled up near Burlingame Avenue, he opened the door, and said absolutely nothing. I asked if we got picked up here for the return. 3 of us were waiting for the return ride a few hours later. Same driver pulled up and he was just as grumpy as before. «No pickup for 2 hours!» is what he barked out loud. Instead of him politely explaining what had happened, another rider on the inbound ride explained it to us. We were surprised but he was right, we had not read the small print. He drove off and never said a polite word. He has no business being in the customer service industry with tourists visiting beautiful Avenue.

I was riding this trolley last week.
pick me up at the San Francisco Marriott Waterfront and bring me to Burlingame to get my water and soda.
I have no problems with any of the drivers.
drop off is the same as pick up.

I am giving the trolley service itself 4 stars! It is awesome to have free transportation to Burlingame Ave! The drivers on the other had are grumpy grinches! I’ve been on the trolley 3 times and twice the drivers have yelled at people. That’s right yelled. Well yelling results in no tip!

Of course, I could walk the mile from Broadway to Burlingame Ave… but since my neighbor pointed out the fact the the B’game Trolley stops right on our block and goes right down B’game Ave I had to check it out.
The vehicle appears to be a lumbering behemoth of a beast but under the deft control of its skilled driver it takes corners with the grace of a camel (or so I imagine).
The ride from B’way to B’game Ave is about 3 or 4 minutes and just a breeze.
The ride back home is quite a roundabout route since it stops at a few of the hotels on Bayshore Road. No worries, mon… it’s all good. It’s better than getting on the 391 looney bin and it’s free!
Free transportation in Burlingame… life is good.
